Client presented with chronic back pain which more recently has prevented him from doing simple tasks such as tying shoe laces, sitting upright in the car and lying flat on his back or stomach.
Due to the restrictions in movement the treatment was provided with the client laying on his side. The results were instantly noticeable as the client stood back up from the couch in significantly less pain compared to when he lay down. Rehab exercises and stretches have been provide...d to further enhance the effects of the treatment and strengthen the muscular structure involved so the pain doesn’t reoccur, god willing he should be back to a pain free lifestyle in no time! 🙌🏽

Office/desk related jobs & long hours of driving cause many individuals to build up areas of restriction, reduced flexibility and in turn aches and pains. Prevent such situations occurring by staying active, stretching and by changing your position as regularly as possible. We always tell our clients that If you are someone who exercises regularly then adapt your training to counteract the stresses and strains put on your body throughout your working day, after all, prevention is better than cure! Get in touch with us for advice on stretching and exercises or treatments for work related injuries. #RMBTherapyClinic #SportsTherapy #Stretch #Cupping #Hijama #Massage #Graston #RockBlade #KTtaping #TimTam #Athlete #Fitness #HealthFirst #MuscularPain #BackPain #ShoulderPain #HipPain #Movement #Relax #StressRelief #Yoga

Coming into a treatment with realistic goals...
This is something I mention to as many people as possible when they come through the door with injuries. It’s always important to remember that injuries firstly need to be assessed and treated accordingly. Many people always come in and say their previous treatments with other therapists haven’t been effective, I’m sure there will be individuals who go elsewhere after visiting us and do the same, and yes in some cases the thera...pist may not have done a good job however majority of the time it’s because the job done by the therapist wasn’t effective for your exact injury. In this situation there’s 2 ways of looking at it, 1. The therapist may not have been thorough in his examination or 2. The injury hasn’t been looked after by you the individual, this means, firstly trying to prevent injuries through a good regime of exercise, diet and recovery. Secondly when an injury occurs it’s important to have some understanding of how it’s happened and thirdly and most importantly, get it treated ASAP!! So many times people are coming in with 2-3 year old injuries if not longer and this only makes a therapists job harder.
After bearing all that in mind it’s then important to understand if you haven’t followed all these steps before, during and post suffering from an injury it’s highly unlikely you’ll get a one treatment fix. In the case one treatment does work well for you, following the advice of the therapist post treatment is highly important, be it advice on exercise to help yourself, stretches or further treatment. It will not only strengthen the area affected and help it to heal fully, it will also prevent the injury re-occurring!
Be willing to help and look after yourself so someone else can help you!

Physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being is what determines an individuals overall health. So many times in every day life you’ll see people who are missing just one of those 4 factors and very quickly it can lead to problems with another. In clinic I’ll see this first hand when people come in with physical injuries, aches, pains and other internal illnesses, they’ll also have symptoms of other factors such as stress which will be making the issue worse. In the fast paced world we live in it’s important to keep a balance in all aspects of life and make sure we see health for what it is and not mistake it for fitness, exercise, diet and being illness free. 🌍 ☮️ ☝🏽

➡️ Fixing muscular imbalances and taking away the pain it was causing... 4 sessions in, this is what can be done, by no means is this a finished job just yet but at the same time these 4 sessions to help @benjaminlongstaff_ were done over a period of time to help his body adjust properly and to not force him into several treatments over a short time. From his first treatment in September to today the results are clear to see. Originally when he came into the clinic he was ex...periencing pains in his right shoulder, after a consultation and some mobility tests it was understood the pain was an end product of various muscular imbalances Ben had developed. Through our treatments, recommendations of exercise and with the help of his trusted coach @alexjameswoods Ben has now got to a point where the pain had gone after the third treatment, the mobility in his shoulder is vastly improved and he is now taking further steps to correct any imbalances that are still present. Credit to him also for understanding and following the recommendations given to him by myself and his coach. It works two ways, as therapists we will always do our best to help you, but you need to be willing to help yourself. #SportsTherapy #CuppingTherapy #naturalmedicine #fitness #cupping #stokeontrent #nutrition #RMBTherapyClinic #muscles #muscularinjuries #muscularpain #muscularimbalances #gym #muscle #bodybuilding #physqiue #massage #timtamrecovery #graston #clinic

➡️ Understanding Cupping and the marks left behind…
A very common misunderstanding regarding what is actually a beneficial after effect of Cupping, is the marks it leaves behind. Many people believe they are bruises and sometimes these marks can put people off trying a cupping session altogether! In actual fact, these marks are harmless, painless, temporary and not classified as ‘bruises’ as there is no impact trauma. The ‘vacuum effect’ formed by Cupping draws up the old no...n-circulating stagnant blood, toxins and sticky fluids (lymph, coagulated proteins) from the area, bringing them up to the surface and away from the injury so that healthy circulation can be restored to the affected area, creating space for oxygen, living cells and nutrients for faster recovery. The circular marks are created when capillaries under the skin break as they release toxins. The colours of the marks are also informative, as they give a good visual indicator as to the patient’s health in regards to what they are being treated for. The colour and pattern of the marks depend on the level of stagnation in the area, and range from a dark pink, bright red to dark purple, usually lasting 3 days to a week, this can be longer if the person has limited recovery or if the lifestyle is sedentary. If there is no stagnation present, there will be only a pink marking which disappears in a few minutes to a couple of hours. #cupping #therapy #sportstherapy #fitness #stokeontrent #healthy #lifestyle #gym #sport #nutrition #clinic #healing #rmbtherapyclinic #knowledge #naturalmedicine

Targeting those pains in the trapezius 👊🏽, client was experiencing restriction in the shoulder and neck. After going through a consultation and movement tests with him we found it was down to his trapezius becoming tight and overworked from imbalances he’d developed over a period of time doing heavy lifting. After working into the area to release the soft tissue with the TimTam machine we hit him up with some cupping massage and wet cupping to give him the maximum benefits of... our treatment. Positive results post treatment & now some rehab work has been provided for the client to follow, allowing him to correct the imbalances and move forwards injury free! #RMBTherapyClinic #SportsTherapy #CuppingTherapy #TimTamRecovery #Health #Fitness #Gym #NaturalHealing #Posture

After practicing and witnessing Hijama/Wet Cupping now for some years there have been many people I have come across who seem to believe that Wet Cupping removes “bad blood” and countless times people will ask after having the treatment done “how dirty is it?”. The question is simply asked because having seen the blood as shown in the video below people will judge it on its thickness. As I always mention to anyone having the treatment done by myself the congealed/thick blood ...scientifically is known as Platelet Thrombus- this occurs when the platelets leave the blood vessels due to the release of histamine and in the absence of nitro-oxide, directly causing platelets to clot. The secondary purpose of incisions during this treatment is to act as a second line of defence for the body, the immune system will send out white blood cells (phagocytes) to the location of incisions and engulf any bacteria or debris within the blood. The body will replace the blood cells lost with new blood cells and thus achieve homeostasis (in which all the cells of the body work at optimum levels). Removing the blood from the body can help clear any waste products, inflammation or toxins present within the cells at the time and replace them with new fresh blood cells which can lead to many benefits for the body both internally and externally.
