About Rotodama

It's not that we don't like Land Rover Discoverys, we just think they could be a lot more useful.

Nipped out to the shop to get workshop food tonight. A common question from people is 'how does it drive?'. Basically it's like a Discovery that's been on a diet and lost over 400kg and had its centre of gravity moved a long way down.
In other words, it drives very well indeed!
Lots being done this weekend - final tooling prototype base, ready for customer builds.

After the initial rash of interest and various comments, we are having a think about market positioning and waiting on one more article to surface in the press, before we talk about much more.... This ridiculous heat isn't helping at the moment though!

We've got our copy of LRO this month. Have you?

User

New issue of LRO out now with their experience of driving our prototype - go get yourself a copy!

User

Oooh, is that the date?
A word about pricing:

One of our team suggested something silly to show how big the loadbed is, when we met Patrick from Land Rover Monthly at Bicester. Obviously he went for it! Grab a copy of the current edition to get the full low down

User

Here's the figures for front and rear axle weights. Max weight for the platform is 2750kg.
Looks like we have a great payload available on that loadbed!

User

Because a lot of people are asking us to supply a cab 'kit' we need to make it really clear what we will be providing in the cab 'kit'. It is not an Ikea-style flat-pack kit, but a cab that will be delivered fully assembled and complete, to bolt up to your rolling chassis, ready for your back-body.
Full details of what will be provided are outlined here:

We've been a little coy about our weight until now as we've struggled to get to an accurate axle weight station. Now we've been back to the MOT brake rollers and got a clear reading we're happy to share.
So who wants to guess the front and rear axle weights on our prototype and thus the carrying capacity of our flatbed?

User

News reaches us this morning, from the breakfast table of a Cornish dairy farmer that we've relocated to the Isle of White!
Many thanks to the Farmers Guardian for the coverage and relocation.

User

What sort of vehicle, or kit, do you want to buy?

User

We would really like to know a bit more about our market from you lovely people - a couple of questions we would like you to answer - starting with this one....
What would you want to buy from us?

User

Two eight foot bales will fit easily in the back of your ATV, won't they?
Or do you need a Super Utility Vehicle for that?

User

Second clip from a short drone filming session

User

Someone wanted more photos showing the loadbed with the sides down so whilst we wait for the ferry, here it is in all of its 12' x 6' glory after a few hundred more test miles

User

cool looking truck guys, can;t wait to see more info about the project. best of luck

User

Can't wait to see more info, especially pricing! Looking at doing this, this winter if you can get them out fast enough!

User

At last! A tall person friendly cab for Land Rovers. Have been waiting many years for this sort of thing! Can't wait to see some finished vehicles on the road.
