Wow, I am recovering from one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life . . . I had the honour of providing the first Iftaar (Ramadan meal) at the University of Hertfordshire in a considerable number of years
Ramadan is a time for reflection, sacrifice, growth & charity, but my favourite part of Ramadan is the sense of unity and spending quality time with family . . . . it is sad that many international & home students cannot be with their families during this holy month,... so I am feeling really content & fulfilled to come together as a UH family
A staggering 120 students savoured a delightful evening of food & discussion, I cannot describe the feeling . . . just to give some perspective, seeing people enjoying themselves filled my own stomach and I didn't feel hungry!
A big massive thank you to my dost Rifat Ujjaman Hridoy & Sheikh Bhai for all your help, as well as Amal and Sanchit Bhai too; it was great to see you all and unite

Ramadan is the most sacred month in the Islamic calendar 🙏🏽 It is one of my favourite times of the year; a time for reflection, sacrifice, growth & charity . . . but my utmost favourite part of Ramadan is the sense of unity and spending quality time with family 💖
Unfortunately, many international & home students on campus are away from their families due ...to distance or exams . . . I hope you will feel the family we have at UH; please feel welcome to join us tomorrow at Iftaar regardless of race, religion or tradition

I had a smashing time at the Hertfordshire Students' Union SU Awards 2018 last week, what a magnificent evening recognising amazing students and societies including the HIGHLY COMMENDED Marketing Society! 🍾🎉🏆
The Forum was really transformed into something reminiscent of the many top restaurant awards I go to in Park Lane / Mayfair; massive well done to all the nominees, award winners & especially the organisers

I was pleasantly surprised & honoured that our newest society UH Poetry Slam stopped me yesterday for a photo (not sure my mugshot will be of much help 😂)
This society provides a platform in which everyone can freely express themselves through poetry and spoken word 🎙 Their first event is THIS THURSDAY!

Extremely honoured that our MP for North East Hertfordshire - the Right Honourable Sir Oliver Heald QC MP - visited & congratulated me on the victory in an amazing Hertfordshire Students' Union election
A note for Law students at UH, Sir Oliver has served the government as Minister of State for Courts & Justice as well Solicitor-General for England & Wales, amongst many other important roles
I was pleased to learn that Sir Oliver is a Court Member at the University, and has d...elivered many speeches/lectures here - I hope he will visit us in Hatfield soon!
