Schools' Native Tree Project

About Schools' Native Tree Project

Set up by Outdoor Classroms in the 90s, we help schools to collect tree-seed locally, and plant new woodland in schools and nursery grounds.

Schools' Native Tree Project Description

Britain was once covered in trees. Now, all but a few ancient woodlands are left and even they are under threat from the government. We are hoping to help schools, nurseries, children's centres and community groups to plant trees in their grounds - maybe even small woodlands. Trees absorb pollution, carbon dioxide and noise and provide a wildlife habitat that we desperately need.

We can help you to collect local seed, germinate it, how it on and then plant it out to create a fabulous teaching resource, habitat for wildlife and tree cover for our very bare urban areas.
