HOKEY POKEY UPDATE!
Thank you to Nigel at Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary for passing on the following update on Hokey Pokey, the seal that was rescued by our Touring Wardens.
"Hokey Pokey has proved quite the stubborn little character! With her little squinty eye she always looks at our Animal Care team with what looks like a suspicious stare!
... None the less we are proud to say that her eye has healed exactly how we had hoped. Though she will never have site in this eye Hokey will still be able to thrive in the wild. Seals use their whiskers in the wild to pick up the smallest of vibrations in pitch black water in order to find their food and avoid predators, so we have all the confidence she will do just fine!
Hokey Pokey is currently 16kg, and whilst she is being stubborn at eating her fish by herself, As soon as she is, we can move her out of the hospital and into our resident pool. Once she then reaches 25-30 KG she will be released back into the wild."

#Lost souvenirs: we’ve recently found a bundle of photographic souvenirs from the Sea Life Sanctuary left behind in our Piazza. I am hoping through the power of social media our followers could share this post so we can reunite this family with their holiday memories.

We stayed for 8 nights and fell in love with the site. The staff are amazing, especially the entertainment team, Liam, bex, michelle, shelly, Anna and dj tim are exceptionally good with the kiddies and there's so much to do. The food on site is delicious and very reasonably priced. The swimming pools are lovely and relaxing. The site is really clean and the showers are hot and heated. The characters are friendly and my little boy loved his cuddles at the end of the evening with them. We especially enjoyed the chocolate party. Very highly recommended and we will definitely be coming back as often as we can. #lovesearles

We recently booked camping for a non electric pitch. On arrival security was helpful, we gained our passes from reception with no hassle and had a great choice of pitch. Facilities were clean and tidy at all times. The entertainment was good and the staff were all really helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately our tent was destroyed in the storm, Christine from the reception team was absolutely fantastic. She was so helpful and kind, she managed to assist us with alternative accommodation for the remainder of our stay. After the terrifying evacuation of our tent that our son had to see, it was so nice to be able to let our son Finish his holiday - for this we are eternally grateful!

There is a shop on site that is very reasonable, a launderette that’s is also reasonable and the chippy which was a favourite of ours that was also reasonably priced.

The pool area was clean and tidy and hygiene and health and safety was always followed by the staff.

We would highly recommend this site to anyone. We look forward to returns my in the future...for a caravan break! Definitely no camping for us.

We pop up here for the weekend all the time with our tourer and have never had cause to complain. Love the fact that you get to stay all day Sunday for the Saturday night price off peak and that you normally get a voucher for money off your next visit.The whole place is always spotless and if you choose your visit time carefully prices are reasonable. Keep up the good work Searles!

We had a fantastic weekend here. Our two boys loved the splash pool and were very pleased to see the outside pool had been opened due to the good weather. They joined in all the activities put on by the superstars and enjoyed every one. One highlight for us was one of our boys being in the talent show.. he loved being on stage. All the superstars were brilliant with the children leading to a lot of tears on the night we returned as they missed them all. (Jazzy in particular as they had formed a bond with her) would definitely come back again and recommend to a friend!!

Just had our best camping holiday with our 3 and 6 year old boys. We didnt do much on site as located so close to a great beach for rock pooling or just having a paddle.



Hunstanton is great with a permanent fun fair, amusements, Ice Creams, Sea food and a walkable promenade.



We did the Sea Life Centre (Searles sell discounted tickets) , the Wash Monster, Searles Land Train and with great entertainment for the boys in the evening , they both slept well.



We did 6 nights, camp site was a little noisey Friday night (excited 1st night of holiday for most !) But nothing to stop us booking 2 more seperate weeks in Summer 2019 already.



Well done Searles, great family camping site !

Have been coming here all our life as a child as a dad a know as a Grandad with all my family

It is clean tidy the staff can not help you more all the facility’s are wonderful and the new splash pool is a great addition to the park

It’s close to town walking distance and we love coming back each year

We have had meals in the restaurant and always have the breakfast on the last day which is great and great value for money

For me one of the best site around for all round facility’s

Got home today after staying since Friday with my partner and the 4 children we absolutely loved it and will be back again in September take my hat of to the superstars for making it extra special for the kids I do not no how u keep going but u do and we will see u all again soon

First time here with our caravan. Full service pitch with hedges around 3 sides. Superb flat location at a great price, and just a few hundred yards from the town. Really enjoyed our trip, we will definitely be back!

Fab family resort. Everything (pool, beech, dining, entertainment etc) all local, Even a large Nisa On site. Stayed in an Elite Lodge, party age range from 2 to 71 & we will all defiantly be returning. Staff all friendly & knowledgable. Hunstandon will suit all ages & the old town (the light house end) is beautifully unspoiled. Thanks Searles Leisure for some fab memories. X

Came here as a child 25 years ago, so was so excited to bring my own child last week. 5 days in a deluxe sierra 6 and it was amazing! The site facilities are fantastic, the land train is fantastic, the pools are brilliant & the proximity to the beach is ideal. Cannot wait to come again!!

Absolutely love being a member at searles the staff are so friendly and welcoming the facility's are lovely and my family love coming with me to be my guests also I love the pool side music and pool party's. The food is delishes and reasonably priced .really am blessed to have this on my door step .

We tour with our van here every year and have had different pitches we chose our pitch this time 216 great pitch near toilet block which was always lovely and clean.

Entertainment has got a lot better superstars shows very good however it's lovely that kids get catered for and you do have bingo but it would be nice if bingo was at the weekends too.

First time at Searles. My partner and I decided to head to the lounge bar this evening, and my review is for this specific area.



1. The BEST singer I have ever heard was performing until around 11pm. She was stunning!

2. The WORST barman in the world was serving. He grunted or just said nothing when ordering, if asking a question he seemed reluctant to help. His customer service was appalling, replace this member of staff, several people were commenting!!



5* for the singer, 0* for the barman. 3* over all - and I’m willing to change this star rating when you change your staff to someone polite!

I've taken a long time deliberating whether to write this review or not. Whilst the park itself for a spontaneous holiday is ok. I would advise careful thought if you are thinking about buying a caravan. My mother in law has been treated deplorably and has come to the decision to sell her caravan as a result. The reception for owners is never open as an example resulting in being turned away as we couldn't renew our passes when explaining to staff our out of date passes we were treated like criminals and denied access despite paying for owner privileges. Recently the water stopped working and all caravans apart from owners where notified. It appears since it was taken over by hoeseasons the standards have dropped dramatically. She has since found out that her plot was the only one big enough for a caravan purchased before she decided to sell. I believe that the poor service and treatment was a direct result of that and her hand was effectively forced. It's notable that on the day they came to value her caravan they had four more to view on the same day. My advice visit for a holiday have fun and enjoy but do not buy!!!

Went to soft play at 1pm it said opens at 2pm on the door so we waited around for an hour then they said sorry were not opening now because it’s Easter. Terrible night hit by a storm not Searles fault. However the field we were put in was awful, no protection, drainage etc. We had to go home after our tent was flooded. Facilities close by eg toilets were of awful standard. Searles charged us £90 for 2 nights. We only stayed 5 hours. Searles gave no warning of any storms or helped anyone struggling with destroyed tents. Shame on you Searles. I have emailed customer line to try and get some kind of refund. Please check where Searles are putting you when they take your money. We were in non hook up.

Just wondering how many people have taken Staffordshire Bull terriers to this wonderful Dog Friendly Site?

I booked only to be told by a rude Lady over the phone under no circumstances do we allow Staffordshire Bull terriers as they scare people and children lol.

I now have a photograph that paints a very different picture mmmmm and a message from a fellow Tourer saying that they had seen a Staffie sitting in the pub area, also another said family that were next to them had one in the caravan that sits outside . ...... So please could somebody perhaps a member of Management please tell me why it's ok for some but NOT other's? If it is company policy then perhaps you need to retrain staff so they know what dog breeds are and are not allowed perhaps put pictures up of band breeds. I could always send you a picture of a lovely friendly Staffie sitting outside his caravan on YOUR STAFFIE FREE SITE! ��

This is such a shame as 9 out of 10 time's it's the owner's that should be banned not the dog's. My Staffie loves kid's and adults doesn't eat too many and she is also very dog friendly and it annoys me that in the 21st century we still have this going on. . I don't like black sheepdogs as was bitten by one as a child, please can you ban them!

Fantastic facility at Searles (and it really is) let down by abysmal customer service.

Due to family terminal illness we asked to change our booking from 2018 to 2019 but were told we couldn't as the deposit had been paid in 2017, although we did explain our circumstances.

We lost our £150 minimum deposit and they even wanted another £30 from us to move the booking even though that wouldn't have been payable on a brand new booking.

A written complaint sent to the sales email address went completely unacknowledged, it obviously wasn't passed onto management.

We have had several holidays with Searles but have decided after this experience to go elsewhere in future.

Profit is obviously more important than loyal customers.

We recently booked camping for a non electric pitch. On arrival security was helpful, we gained our passes from reception with no hassle and had a great choice of pitch. Facilities were clean and tidy at all times. The entertainment was good and the staff were all really helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately our tent was destroyed in the storm, Christine from the reception team was absolutely fantastic. She was so helpful and kind, she managed to assist us with alternative accommodation for the remainder of our stay. After the terrifying evacuation of our tent that our son had to see, it was so nice to be able to let our son Finish his holiday - for this we are eternally grateful!

There is a shop on site that is very reasonable, a launderette that’s is also reasonable and the chippy which was a favourite of ours that was also reasonably priced.

The pool area was clean and tidy and hygiene and health and safety was always followed by the staff.

We would highly recommend this site to anyone. We look forward to returns my in the future...for a caravan break! Definitely no camping for us.

We pop up here for the weekend all the time with our tourer and have never had cause to complain. Love the fact that you get to stay all day Sunday for the Saturday night price off peak and that you normally get a voucher for money off your next visit.The whole place is always spotless and if you choose your visit time carefully prices are reasonable. We had a fantastic weekend here. Our two boys loved the splash pool and were very pleased to see the outside pool had been opened due to the good weather. They joined in all the activities put on by the superstars and enjoyed every one. One highlight for us was one of our boys being in the talent show.. he loved being on stage. All the superstars were brilliant with the children leading to a lot of tears on the night we returned as they missed them all. (Jazzy in particular as they had formed a bond with her) would definitely come back again and recommend to a friend!!

Just had our best camping holiday with our 3 and 6 year old boys. We didnt do much on site as located so close to a great beach for rock pooling or just having a paddle.



Hunstanton is great with a permanent fun fair, amusements, Ice Creams, Sea food and a walkable promenade.



We did the Sea Life Centre (Searles sell discounted tickets) , the Wash Monster, Searles Land Train and with great entertainment for the boys in the evening , they both slept well.



We did 6 nights, camp site was a little noisey Friday night (excited 1st night of holiday for most !) But nothing to stop us booking 2 more seperate weeks in Summer 2019 already.



Well done Searles, great family camping site !

It is clean tidy the staff can not help you more all the facility’s are wonderful and the new splash pool is a great addition to the park

It’s close to town walking distance and we love coming back each year

We have had meals in the restaurant and always have the breakfast on the last day which is great and great value for money

For me one of the best site around for all round facility’s

Got home today after staying since Friday with my partner and the 4 children we absolutely loved it and will be back again in September take my hat of to the superstars for making it extra special for the kids I do not no how u keep going but u do and we will see u all again soon

First time here with our caravan. Full service pitch with hedges around 3 sides. Superb flat location at a great price, and just a few hundred yards from the town. Really enjoyed our trip, we will definitely be back!

Fab family resort. Everything (pool, beech, dining, entertainment etc) all local, Even a large Nisa On site. Stayed in an Elite Lodge, party age range from 2 to 71 & we will all defiantly be returning. Staff all friendly & knowledgable. Hunstandon will suit all ages & the old town (the light house end) is beautifully unspoiled. Thanks Searles Leisure for some fab memories. X

Came here as a child 25 years ago, so was so excited to bring my own child last week. 5 days in a deluxe sierra 6 and it was amazing! The site facilities are fantastic, the land train is fantastic, the pools are brilliant & the proximity to the beach is ideal. Cannot wait to come again!!

Absolutely love being a member at searles the staff are so friendly and welcoming the facility's are lovely and my family love coming with me to be my guests also I love the pool side music and pool party's. The food is delishes and reasonably priced .really am blessed to have this on my door step .

We tour with our van here every year and have had different pitches we chose our pitch this time 216 great pitch near toilet block which was always lovely and clean.

Entertainment has got a lot better superstars shows very good however it's lovely that kids get catered for and you do have bingo but it would be nice if bingo was at the weekends too.

First time at Searles. My partner and I decided to head to the lounge bar this evening, and my review is for this specific area.



1. The BEST singer I have ever heard was performing until around 11pm. She was stunning!

2. The WORST barman in the world was serving. He grunted or just said nothing when ordering, if asking a question he seemed reluctant to help. His customer service was appalling, replace this member of staff, several people were commenting!!



5* for the singer, 0* for the barman. 3* over all - and I’m willing to change this star rating when you change your staff to someone polite!

I've taken a long time deliberating whether to write this review or not. Whilst the park itself for a spontaneous holiday is ok. I would advise careful thought if you are thinking about buying a caravan. My mother in law has been treated deplorably and has come to the decision to sell her caravan as a result. The reception for owners is never open as an example resulting in being turned away as we couldn't renew our passes when explaining to staff our out of date passes we were treated like criminals and denied access despite paying for owner privileges. Recently the water stopped working and all caravans apart from owners where notified. It appears since it was taken over by hoeseasons the standards have dropped dramatically. She has since found out that her plot was the only one big enough for a caravan purchased before she decided to sell. I believe that the poor service and treatment was a direct result of that and her hand was effectively forced. It's notable that on the day they came to value her caravan they had four more to view on the same day. My advice visit for a holiday have fun and enjoy but do not buy!!!

Went to soft play at 1pm it said opens at 2pm on the door so we waited around for an hour then they said sorry were not opening now because it’s Easter. Not the first time they have done this and complaint are just ignored

Terrible night hit by a storm not Searles fault. However the field we were put in was awful, no protection, drainage etc. We had to go home after our tent was flooded. Facilities close by eg toilets were of awful standard. Searles charged us £90 for 2 nights. We only stayed 5 hours. Searles gave no warning of any storms or helped anyone struggling with destroyed tents. Shame on you Searles. I have emailed customer line to try and get some kind of refund. Please check where Searles are putting you when they take your money. We were in non hook up.

Just wondering how many people have taken Staffordshire Bull terriers to this wonderful Dog Friendly Site?

I booked only to be told by a rude Lady over the phone under no circumstances do we allow Staffordshire Bull terriers as they scare people and children lol.

I now have a photograph that paints a very different picture mmmmm and a message from a fellow Tourer saying that they had seen a Staffie sitting in the pub area, also another said family that were next to them had one in the caravan that sits outside . ...... So please could somebody perhaps a member of Management please tell me why it's ok for some but NOT other's? If it is company policy then perhaps you need to retrain staff so they know what dog breeds are and are not allowed perhaps put pictures up of band breeds. I could always send you a picture of a lovely friendly Staffie sitting outside his caravan on YOUR STAFFIE FREE SITE! ��

This is such a shame as 9 out of 10 time's it's the owner's that should be banned not the dog's. My Staffie loves kid's and adults doesn't eat too many and she is also very dog friendly and it annoys me that in the 21st century we still have this going on. . I don't like black sheepdogs as was bitten by one as a child, please can you ban them!

Fantastic facility at Searles (and it really is) let down by abysmal customer service.

Due to family terminal illness we asked to change our booking from 2018 to 2019 but were told we couldn't as the deposit had been paid in 2017, although we did explain our circumstances.

We lost our £150 minimum deposit and they even wanted another £30 from us to move the booking even though that wouldn't have been payable on a brand new booking.

A written complaint sent to the sales email address went completely unacknowledged, it obviously wasn't passed onto management.

We have had several holidays with Searles but have decided after this experience to go elsewhere in future.

Profit is obviously more important than loyal customers.

We stayed for 8 nights and fell in love with the site. The staff are amazing, especially the entertainment team, Liam, bex, michelle, shelly, Anna and dj tim are exceptionally good with the kiddies and there's so much to do. The food on site is delicious and very reasonably priced. The swimming pools are lovely and relaxing. The site is really clean and the showers are hot and heated. The characters are friendly and my little boy loved his cuddles at the end of the evening with them. We especially enjoyed the chocolate party.
