Where to start,,,,, my visit to Walsingham was my first visit but certainly will not be my last, it was the most peaceful I have felt in a long time, I took so much away with me and I thank you for that. The hospitality was second to none, the staff were warm and welcoming and so accommodating. The memories of my stay will remain with me for a long time, Thank you. Jan McIntosh

Well worth a visit if in the area. The grounds are kept in an immaculate condition and The Shrine itself has a lot of interesting things to look at. Enjoy an excellent meal or snack in the upstairs restaurant or downstairs café. Very friendly and helpful staff too.

We love to return here once a year as our beautiful daughter lived to visit and was leaving here in April 13 when she was killed while cycling by an elderly man unconscious at the wheel of his car. We have a bench in her memory there and also like to return to chat to Paul (manager) who was last person she chatted to before leaving.

Very peaceful and holy place the amount of history all around is amazing, was there on the 19th of September driving a coach with a group of 49 passengers would recommend the slipper chapel there was people from all walks of life, would also recommend walsingham village as well there is a tea room places to have your picnic if you want to pray or sit and collect your thoughts or light a candle you can been going for over 25 years from Broadstairs.

User

Very happy to come and visit this place. Wish to comeback again next time .

User

This is the ninth or tenth pilgrimage we have attended and it always a fantastic witness to our Lady. It's an occasion to think and reflect, pray and listen and to feel part of the event.

User

Such a special place so peaceful and lovely .All the staff are so friendly.

I’m blessed to visit this place. I love it

I try to come here every year with mam and Dad. The Holy house is at the centre of the shrine based on the holy house of Nazareth. I love drinking the water from one of the wells mentioned in the story of Walsingham. It's the Anglican shrine of Our Lady. The shrine has lovely gardens and chapels inside and outside and a way of the cross. My favourite is the agony of garden chapel. There is lovely accommodation and a lovely cafe and that can be used by everyone. The Rc shrine is about a mile away down the Holy mile where Our Lady's statue is honoured in the Slipper Chapel at Houghton St Giles.

User

Fifth pilgrimage in total (3rd full weekend one). It is always a joy to go to Walsingham and feel the effects of that sacred space blessed by Our Lady's favours visits and many miracles. Always a privilege, as with the previous 2 weekend pilgrimages, to be directly involved with at least one of the liturgies of the weekend. To do that makes me feel like more than just a pilgrim because through God's grace, and the direction of my parish priest, I have been chosen from among the hundreds of others to take up a special duty which adds to the beauty of what goes on there.

User

Been here yesterday to light a candle for the family in heaven. Really peaceful place .the home of god

Will be back again

Amazing. I love ❤️ the place as it was my first time and it won't be the last. Extremely Peaceful and blessings to all who seek God's love ❤️ and grace in their Pilgrimage journey in life. I particularly loved the Holy Sepulchre which reminded me of the one in Jerusalem when visited there few years ago. May God continue to bless all who share the faith in Jesus Christ. Shalom

A wonderful place - theres nowhere quite like it! The tranquility, the services, the time for reflection and the fellowship were second to none - so very moving - loved every minute

User

A very special place for our family.mum & dad visit every year..Age and Alzheimer's have made it to difficult for them to join our parish pilgrimage this year,, much to their sorrow.

This weekend we the family have made the trip from Manchester for them to make what is likely to be their last visit.. As always a peaceful beautiful place albeit it very stressful for dad.

Candles lit for everyone including our parish in interegneum.

Shame the village is all but closed.

The shrine itself is beautiful.

God Bless

A place where you can find peace , a place to pray to Our Mother Mary . Where you are at one with people from all walks of life coming together to worship in peace and Harmony .

Wonderful place for reflection and relaxation. One does not need to have religious beliefs or intentions, it is a place of calm and serenity where you can go and empty you mind and spend quiet time in some enchanting places, especially the grounds of the Anglican Church and The Abbey ruins. The Sllipper Chapel and Basilica at the Catholic Shrine, a mile outside the Village is also a lovely place for Worship and reflection, but can get very crowded to really find peace and quiet; more a place for joyous celebration. After 10 years I returned on a Diocesan Pilgrimage on 22nd July 2017 and was pleased to see that nothing had changed and it was still the lovely English village steeped in religious history that has retained it's peaceful serenity and has not become commercialised like other Religious Shrines. Love this place and will try not to leave it as long to return.

User

Sadly we picked a day that the builders were in. I’m by no means a religious person but it was well worth the visit for both myself and the guy took.
