How we make our cheesy scones- Weigh flour, salt, mustard powder and margarine.

Whisk eggs and milk.

Blend dry ingredients, add cheese leaving some for topping.

Mix in egg and milk mix.

Turn sticky dough onto floured surface, sprinkle with more flour.

Divide for easier handling.

Fold dough in a circle so the outside is smooth, folds underneath.

Roll out 1 1/2cm thick, cut into shapes required.

Place on baking tray and top with cheese.

Bake at 15 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, Turn and bake until they look good to you!

Visited in May. Very welcome and welcoming on a grey, drizzly day. Hot chocolate and a yummy sandwich for lunch. So nice that we came back after visiting the museum. And had the best carrot cake I've had for a long time. (All vegan too.) A nice place to browse for presents as well. I bought chocolate, some bamboo socks and some geranium soap.

Vegan carrot cake AND vegan coffee and walnut cake.... oh my, made my day. Of course I had to have both. Ate one with my pooch at a table outside, washed down with lovely Chai latte. Saved the other one for later. Simply delicious!

I consider myself a regular in this shop. The staff are always exceptionally warm and welcoming and we always have a friendly chat. The food is excellent; all home made, tastes lovely, looks very nice, and caters for all. Great little gem that I thoroughly recommend!

I always visit this lovely cafe when I see my osteopath. I had a wonderful salad bowl mix yesterday - the bean salad is heaven. The staff are always friendly. Great range of food to eat in plus health foods, home wares etc to buy. Lovely herbal teas. Bright, cheery and calm.

Great service, food and drink. The perfect place for vegetarians and vegans.
