“We haven’t even got bloody Christmas out the way yet!” I hear you say.
However, we thought it best to bring to your attention that two months from now is Mark’s due date (well, Mrs P of course). Provisionally, a week will be booked off around that date.
If he arrives early or late then that will allow a free week for people to move into if they do wish. However, that also means that there is a potential second week in there somewhere. It will all have to be played it little... by ear but his best will be done to accommodate those that are booked when he arrives. We know it’s a pain, when there’s men to be made beautiful, but that’s the way the Rusk crumbles.
The due date for the little man to arrive is Saturday 26th January, so if you’re hoping to get your first cut of 2019 in then get booking to, hopefully, guarantee yourself your spot with Mark before he vanishes for his baptism of fire of cleaning pooey butts and relentless insomnia.
Hopefully you’ll be able to bear with us. We just thought it best to give you ample time to think ahead if you so wished.
Now....it’s time to think Christmas...

This will always be something that we bring to the forefront whenever there is national or global attention on it. It’s in an effort to encourage people to be open and talk about their troublesome times and things that worry them. No matter how small that may seem.
Since I spoke out about it myself, it has amazed me how many people have chosen to share their troubles with me. Whether it’s a stressful situation, a rough week, a horrendous month or anxiousness and tough days th...at won’t subside. Although talking isn’t always the cure it can be a relief just to know that someone knows where you’re coming from.
Sometimes you don’t learn to manage. But you’re still in a position to progress and get to a place where you can. A place where there are less worries, less sleepless nights, more concentration, more motivation, less despair and more inspiration. Where the irrational is replaced by rational and we can put those worries in the sized box that they need to be in.
Whether it’s to a friend, a partner, a family member or a professional, the first step will always be to talk. Whenever you feel ready to. “A problem shared is a problem halved”. I think the word “shared” is the most important part. Never be afraid to lean on a shoulder, or allow yours to be leant on, so we can ensure that we all are having a good day. I’m proud of you, brothers. Be excellent to each other ✌️

In 2019, we’re working on doing skinfades and pompadours using a yo-yo and second hand flip flop.

Visited Mark earlier after having heard all the good words about the guys and the place. Took the time to go through different styles and ideas to make sure I was happy and he's a genuine nice chap. Real nice place as well to top it off. Best experience I've had in years and came out with a cut I feel good with! I know for sure where I'll be going from now on! Thanks mate!

OK, so I could be a bit biased as Mark is my brother but I honestly wouldn't want to take my boys anywhere else. They're 5 and nearly 2 and have both had their hair cut with Mark since their first birthdays. We always get comments about how smart their haircuts are.

Mark has been cutting my son Arts hair for about 3 years now (wow!! That long?) Mark has a great talent, not only for cutting hair, but his ability to help a somewhat nervous 5 year old boy grow into a an 8 year old that can confidently have conversations about ANYTHING. Mark listened to him, and gave him validation that his ideas and stories were interesting and inspired him to be himself. So much more than barbering....a positive, inclusive and most amusing (in the right way!) establishment. Mark and Silent Bob are a great team...S&H is like a bit of magic! Thank you!

Mark and James are not only exceptional barbers, but also stand up chaps. I moved away from Ipswich years ago but always make sure I pop in for a cut when I'm back

Lovely welcome from friendly staff. My son was made to feel extra special during his first big boy hair cut and he cetratainly looks handsome after mark was finished. Highly recommend. X

It was my first time on Thursday, went with my son Chris. I will definitely be going again. Very friendly and enjoyed lots of good banter. Brilliant style and cut. Thanks Mark.

After years of having my haircut by various places and never really enjoying the experience, regardless of how good the cut was. I finely feel at home here. Absolutely love slog and hustle! My parter visits every couple of weeks, and we now take our son for his haircuts. Mark is amazing he does an awesome job on Jack and Rohan’s hair, I would always recommend them to my friends, family and clients! James is also very welcoming and friendly too.
