We went for a walk with our grandson and we were a bit peckish so we decided to go to smiths for breakfast it was lovely and atmosphere was nice too staff very polite and friendly, will be back again.

User

Smiths is a dog friendly pub (important for us) with plenty of space and a varied menu. All four of us thought the food was of a very high standard with quality ingredients and full flavour. Staff were helpful and friendly although sometimes it wasn't clear whether we should expect to be given desset menus or collect them ourselves. Overall, a very pleasant meal with good beer and surroundings.

User

I love this place! Food is always amazing staff always friendly and the surroundings are gorgeous!

User

As always food was great. It's a lovely place to relax with family and friends

User

We went down for a celebration meal and were disappointed to have to queue for 20 minutes every time we went to the bar. The staff were working their socks off but there just weren't enough of them. Half term holidays and lovely weather the management should have been better prepared. The food was it's usual excellent quality however.

User

Took Grandchildren for lunch, been several times previously. Food quality is good although a little on the expensive side compared to other similar places we regularly visit. Children’s menu quite good but children’s dessert selection not...ice cream only? Why can’t children have a small portion of items off the main menu? My eldest granddaughter who is 9 wanted a Pizza wrap, whilst this was delicious, it was slightly too much for her but, a child portion (whilst great for the 4 year old) was not enough.

User

Decent selection of beers and ciders. Food was decent the one time I ordered. Bar staff are pretty and friendly. Not the cheapest, but it's a quirky and pleasant pub located in the centre of town. Plenty of outside seating too.

User

What has happened to this once excellent pub? Resisted posting this for a while now but having previously raved about it and being a regular I feel I have to comment on the fact the choice of beer has dropped significantly.....where has the variety gone? Fed up of being offered 6 beers all pretty much similar......where are the Porters, the Stouts and the Milds? We paying top whack for a pint here so come on guys......get back on it please or there will be NO decent Ale in Bourne

User

Went in tonight for a glass of wine during happy hour, large glass of house white £5.25! Ouch, my friend paid £3.35 for a medium so asked why was that? Apparently Happy hour prices are on medium not large glasses, beware everyone!

User

Ordered food and sat with the children in the stable. Bar staff were cheerful. Same could not be said for those collecting glasses and serving food. Not our usual experience of Smiths. The food arrived. 3 out of 4 pizzas were either burnt or wrong. Not impressed. Food arrived 20 mins later. Very disappointed as we have had some pleasant evenings in Smith's. Standards are slipping. Hope the Golden Lion opens soon! Healthy competition needed in the town.

User

First time we had been out in Bourne for a while and we decided to go to the Cider and Sausage Festival on Sunday Afternoon. We had got our 5 year old grandson with us and went down to sit in the play area with him. We were looking forward to a drink while our grandson played. It was a hot afternoon and the air wasn't helped when people on the tables either side of us started smoking. The outdoor seating area is big enough for people to smoke without them needing to puff away in the children's play area. Needless to say we finished our drinks and left not bothering to stay for a second one or for food.

User

WARNING when taking advantage of the pizza deal, only choose unmixed drinks as the till will count the cost of the mixer, i.e. 'Dash lemonade', 80p, as the drink and charge the full cost of the main drink adding up to £3 to the cost of the meal !!

User

Very disappointed last night with the meal I had here. I ordered the Mac n Cheese with pulled pork, it was dry, no cheese sauce at all, bland, no seasoning. Couldn't taste any cheese. Pasta was dry. I expected more for £13.95. A full refund was given but still left very disappointed.

User

Ordered a gin off the menu. Suggested serve; pink grapefruit and rosemary. No rosemary, one tiny slice of pink grapefruit. Terrible. I could do better at home!

User

Disappointed today. Causal drink and some light food, took over 50 minutes to arrive-felt like we had been forgotten. Then the chips were cold, the coleslaw was boiling hot as was the salad! The irony of hot food being cold and cold food being hot! Received a refund for these meals, but not sure I will be eating here again in a hurry!

User

2 bottles of none alcoholic beer nearly 7 quid, wont be back there in a hurry.
