Marie Gouldin (MCFHP, MAFHP) is registered with the British Association of Foot Health Practitioners and trained at the Same Institute, qualifying with a Diploma in 2013. The Smae Institute was founded in 1919 and has been training Foot Health Practitioners and Chiropodists for almost 90 years.

My background history includes working in health and social services for more than 15 years where I gained experience of caring for people within several different settings including, hospitals, community, nursing and residential care. During my working life I have gained good communication skills, vital for putting people at their ease, whether they suffer with a hearing or sight impairment, Dementia, Learning difficulties or other communication issues. I have a current CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check, first aid certificate and am fully insured and qualified to offer routine foot care treatment within the comfort of your own home.

As a Foot Health Practitioner I am committed to providing a very high standard of patient care which encompasses the principles of good practice, displaying professional conduct, at all times. I am bound by a code of ethics and am expected to update my knowledge base every year by attending professional development (CPD) workshops and seminars.

Healthy feet are vital to good mobility and are often a forgotten and neglected part of the body. For anyone who suffers with ongoing or prolonged periods of discomfort, whilst weightbearing, a regular visit to a Foot Health Practitioner or Qualified Chiropodist would be of benefit. Benefits are felt immediately after treatment with patients often commenting that they “feel like they are walking on air. ” For those wanting beech ready feet or just a little pampering routine treatment is also recommended.

All equipment used is specialist podiatry equipment and is designed to make treatments as quick and comfortable as possible.

Infection control is an extremely high priority and disposable aprons, gloves and face mask are used for each client, with protective glasses, if required. All instruments used are sterilised to British Standards prior to use or are designed for single use only.
