SpeakeasyTorquay is delighted to present this musical duo, consisting of accomplished guitarists Maciek Pysz and Gianluca Corona, both from rich musical backgrounds and with a shared passion for acoustic world-music rhythms. Not only excellent guitarists but also composers in their own right, Maciek and Gianluca will present a programme of original music as well songs by Ennio Morricone, Ralph Towner and Egberto Gismonti. Expect an evening full of beautiful and touching melod...ies, intricate Latin rhythms played with passion and fire.
Maciek Pysz is a guitarist and composer known for his clear lyrical phrasing, his virtuosity and his imaginative cinematic compositions. He has performed with Daniele di Bonaventura, Tim Garland and Francois Arnaud and has appeared in festivals and clubs in the UK, France and Italy.
Gianluca Corona is a professional guitarist who has worked and toured alongside artists such as acclaimed American jazz fusion and Latin jazz guitarist, Al Di Meola and Israel’s leading international singer songwriter, Noa (Achinoam Nini). He is a teacher at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performances (ICMP) in London, a regular contributor to Guitar Techniques and holds masterclasses in UK for various schools and organisations.
