The opticians at Specsavers have actually saved my eye from permanent damage and sight loss. I've been coming here for years and in July, during a routine sight test, an issue was detected which resulted in a referral being made to the NNUH. I am now under the care of the eye clinic at the hospital where I'll be monitored regularly to limit the damage to my eye. Thank you to the fantastic and thorough staff.

User

Just walked out and I have to say thank you to Joshua; really nice and knowledgeable guy. He picked out a frame suitable to my unusual prescription after listening to my preferences. The whole process only cost me 20 minutes and £5!

User

I cannot speak highly enough of the Norwich branch. I always have my eyes tested by Conor and today I had wonderful customer service from Viktoria.

User

I attended an appointment last week for all 3 of my children and my grandad. Our optometrist wasn’t happy with my youngest daughters sight test so got us an appointment today. He got some special cards so he my daughter would be sure she knew what she was looking at! He’s honestly gone above and beyond and I couldn’t be more grateful. Unfortunately he doesn’t always work in this branch, however we are always pleased with the customer service. Credit where credit is due!! Thank you everyone at White Lion Street, Specsavers. Especially the man who looked after Sofia Honey today. You were amazing xx

User

User

Amazing service today. I was surprised how quick and efficient the whole process was. The man who did my actual eye test was wonderful - a great asset to the team :) thank you.

User

Went in for an eye examination on Friday. First woman I saw was OK, seemed a little blunt, but after all, it was Friday afternoon... Then went in to see the optician, polite and explained well. But after this, the service was outstanding, a young woman called Rea who was polite, friendly, very well mannered, knowledgeable, respectful and extremely well presented.... Specsavers you should be extremely proud of Rea!! A real asset to your company.

User

Visited yesterday, was left waiting nearly an hour even though I had am apt but got looked after by Sarah the manager who was very apologetic, helpful and informative. Always had good service in past.

User

*LOST* Maroon metal frame vari focal glasses, lost today around Magdalen Street 11.45-12.45. If found please let me know. Many Thanks.

The first visit to see the optician was fine. Fast and professional.

Second visit to collect glasses was very good until they wanted to do a peripheral test. I have had them before so wasn’t worried. The actual exam was not professional. The girl seemed unsure and did a total of six tests in a tiny claustrophobic area with lots of noise behind me. With each test a colleague was called in to check. The girl said I wasn’t looking properly. It took 25 minutes and I had a panic attack. The girl who did the test was learning. I felt I should have been told. I complained and left the shop where my son had been waiting in his wheelchair.

The manager came out after me, obviously annoyed and accused me of wagging my finger when I complained. He insisted I do the test again with a trained person. A totally different experience no messing about or fiddling with the machine all done in 5 minutes. I waited for the results which were clear.

I shall not be going to this branch of Specsavers again, possibly not any branch because of the intimidating manner of the manager.

Went to get a bridge put on my glasses here at lion street, great service as usual UNTIL I got them home, they weren't even cleaned and they had marked the right lens. So I rang Specsavers and they then called me back. DAVID COWAN said that they didn't do it, and he wouldn't replace the lens, he said I could bring them back to let him see them, but this wouldn't change his mind. He also stated that I've had good service in the past, to which I said yes, because I bought glasses that weren't suitable and the staff told me yes there was problems with them! So I have just paid good money for them to fit a bridge, they have NOT fulfilled their LEGAL duty of care obligation to take care of my lens. I am so upset about the way I was spoken to and I'm seeking further action. People certainly don't deserve to be treated in this way.

I went into white lion street yesterday to pick up my daughters glasses that had broken. When I first took them in I was told it would take a week to get a new pair in but received a phone call next day to say that they were ready. When picking them they where completely different to the ones I took in and wrong colour. When I said about this the staff member and manger said they match the order. " but they are not the ones I brought in" sorry but these are the correct ones you will have to have them. By this point I was getting really angry and asked if she could choose another pair cause the ones they sent where black and not blue and didn't suit her. " No cause you are not in titled to a new pair because they are not the Nhs pair " but you have just given me a new pair wrong pair. Anyway didn't get anywhere. There is 4 of us in the family who wear glasses and always gone to specsavers but not anymore now got to sort out my daughter glasses else where and the staff were very rude.

I attended an apt today for vision test which was carried out professionally and with care although I had to wait a long time to be seen

All was going well until after choosing my frames I was told I couldn’t have varifocals because I had unsuccessfully tried them twice before

I reassured that I would be more likely to adapt as my sight had deteriorated to an extent that I was struggling and that I had not received refunds for the previous attempts in 2014 and 2016

I went into that shop fully aware that I would have rather a large bill at the end and came out flabbergasted that I wouldn’t be sold a pair of glasses I needed and was surprised and upset

Why they couldn’t tell me from the beginning I don’t know

The time spent was 2 hours which is 2 hours I won’t get back

Not happy to say the least!

User

Bad experience, firstly I booked an appointment for 09:30 in the morning over a week ago. The night before the appointment I received a message from specsavers confirming the time but also saying I had to arrive early. If I was able to get their any earlier I would have booked the appointment at an earlier time.

I arrive early for my appointment to find out they had a power cut and the power had just come on. These things happen, I ask about when I could have an appointment and was told they would contact me in about 30 minutes. I said no worries I am in the city for a hour or two so just call me and I can come in for an appointment. I was then told that I would not be able to book an appointment for a few days to a week. I asked about why I could not still get one today, I was informed that my appointment was cancelled and they where booked for the day. I assume that if a customer has travelled for an appointment that you would try to do your best for that person to see them the same day. They have two specsavers in the centre of Norwich and did not try in the slightest to honour the agreed appointment day. The staff who spoke to me was not apologetic or appeared in anyway to look into the situation and help out a customer who is standing in front of them, after travelling in only because of the appointment.

Specsavers means no customer care.

Thank you for not trying.
