It's Messy Church on Monday! Starts 3.45pm on 3rd December and the theme is CHRISTMAS!

Toy Service Sunday, 2nd December - please bring your donations either to this Service or to the church from 26th November. Please note that gifts for children must not be violence based in any way, no guns, and brand new - please leave any labels/tags on as the Refuge is subject to health and safety protection rules. The ladies appreciate pamper gifts as they often arrive at the Refuge with nothing at all and without toiletries etc. Please leave everything unwrapped but Christmas paper can be included. Thank you everyone for your generosity.

Remembrance Day Service is in the Church on Sunday, 11th November beginning at 10am. Just before 11am everyone will move into the churchyard and continue the Service at the War Memorial to join in the Silence to remember all those who have lost their lives in the near and distant past. All are welcome.

Lots of fun was had yesterday at Messy Church. We heard the story of the Good Samaritan and the boys especially loved bandaging their 'wounds' and adding the 'blood'!

Thank you to all who filled shoeboxes, the children receiving them will be overjoyed with all these gifts.

Sunday, 4th Nov, 4pm, there will be a Memorial Service at the church to remember lost loved ones. All are welcome.

The Shoeboxes are due to be collected in on Sunday, 4th November. Please bring them to the church on or before that date. Thank you to all who have filled their boxes for children in need of these gifts.

The annual Service of Remembrance for those who have died in wars and conflicts will be at St Leonard's Church on Sunday, 11th November, beginning at 10am in the church, moving outside for the 11am silence. All are very welcome.

A concert of Autumn music will be in the church on Sunday 28th October at 4pm. Sounds like an entertaining afternoon!

Messy Church is a week on Monday, 1st October, starts at 3.45pm. Children and parents have a great time playing together.

Home Groups are all resuming this week - Monday morning, Tuesday morning and Thursday evening. See weekly bulletin in church for venues etc.

Harbour at Southminster are hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning in the Memorial Hall on Thursday, 27th September, 10am - 12noon. Come along and support this vital charity.

A reminder that the Art Exhibition is this Saturday and Sunday. The WI are doing lunches of soup and roll on Saturday with cream teas in the afternoon. Cakes and biscuits are also available with tea, coffee etc. Free admission so do come and support local artists.

One of the Mums was very clever and built a card house that no one else could manage! Messy Church was about the wisdom of building a house on a solid foundation - God's way - rather than on sand making the house collapse. We also heard the story about the 3 pigs and their 3 houses, and they appear in some of the craft work. Children and Mums had a great time - the next one is Monday, 1st October.
