Christians have worshipped on this site for at least 900 years making this one of the ancient parishes of Manchester Diocese.
Today, the church of St Michael’s continues to be a haven of stability with a refreshingly optimistic outlook and a passion for worship, mission and learning. We pray that at this time, and in this place, we can be as a light set upon a hill, for the benefit of the wider community and for the glory and praise of God.
