Post Graduate Media and Communications Awards and Research

The Media and Communications Research Hub is based within the C-MAT Research Centre in the Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies at Staffordshire University and brings together experts in the area of local and global culture. Research focus’ on global /local media cultures, including the hyperlocal, and across transnational borders. The research group was set up to provide coherence between the work emanating from Media Studies but incorporates other academics working across the Faculty. The emphasis is on academic research that talks to practice and encourages connections between them. A coherent research strategy within such a group is essential for a) attracting research funding and b)improving post-graduate recruitment. The research focus of the hub feeds directly into the postgraduate courses offered by the Faculty enhancing the teaching offered with constant development.
