On 20th /21st of July Strumpshaw Park and Museum welcomes Norfolk's Tree Fair.
Strumpshaw Tree Fair Description
This summer the Strumpshaw Steam Museum and park will be playing host to the second Strumpshaw Tree Fair. From the 20th to the 21st of July the grounds will be transformed in a nod back to the old Albion fairs of Suffolk, but with a Norfolk twist!
Here you’ll get the chance to meet Norfolk’s skilled wood crafters and admire the intricate and creative designs they make from this wonderful natural material. There will be everything from willow sculptures, driftwood sculptures and traditionally crafted wooden Gypsy flowers to beautifully made bowls, hurdles, fencing, rakes, chairs, baskets, walking sticks and mirrors.
The fair will be a chance for Norfolk’s many artisans and food producers to showcase their talents. Come and marvel at the forge works, jewellery designers, soap makers and apothecaries. If you’re feeling peckish take a look at our freshly baked pizza, Caribbean cuisine, tacos that showcase Norfolk produce or wild game meat. You can also talk to the Orchards For All Project about their crucial role in preserving local orchards. And all while buskers entertain stall holders and public alike!
Of course, no fair is complete without a show! So Dan the Hat will be delighting audiences all weekend.
And all of this is taking place in the grounds surrounding the Strumpshaw Steam Museum, a celebration of steam with engines and working models to admire! Not forgetting the old organ which is played at all events.
The fair will be open for 10am to 5pm on the 20th and 21st of July. Tickets are only £10 for adults and under 16s are free!
Whether you’re a regular visitor to Strumpshaw or this is your first time, you’re in for a surprise!

The Suffolk Lighting Company take their inspiration from the natural world, making each of their shades by hand using organic and plastic-free materials. Birch plywood and wood veneers create layering and texture to their lamps, standing out against the huge collection of fabrics they have on offer. Ranging from the humble hessian for stark and modern designs, to the finest Pahjai Silk or limited-edition vintage pieces.
We are very pleased to announce that we will be joined by Ann Green, independent bookseller. There’s no greater joy than digging through a collection of second hand books for hidden treasures, half remembered favourites and that one book missing from your collection.
