Suffolk Babies

Did you know we have a fabulous bunch of volunteers who give up their time to run support groups at the centre?
On the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month is the Bumps to Babies group for pregnant and new mums (with non-mobile babies), then every Wednesday afternoon we host a group for mobile babies and toddlers. Here are some photos from last week's group. Looks fun!

A 6-week course to prepare you for the birth of your baby and support for early parenting.
Learn how to prepare your body to give birth, what to expect, and what to do if things don’t go according to plan.
This course will give you a deep and thorough understanding of pregnancy, birth and early parenting.
Ideal for birth partners to attend (though you are of course just as welcome to attend on your own), to learn how they can support you, and how they can keep calm and be the best possible support during labour and beyond. We will also explore how your relationship will develop and change with the addition of a new member of the family.
Understand your baby’s development and how to care for them (and yourself) after their arrival.
Make friends with other couples at the same stage as you. Suitable from 24 weeks of pregnancy.
What the course covers:
• Preparing our bodies for birth and getting baby into a good position; • Having a healthy mind and body; • Understanding the hormones involved in labour and birth, and how you can promote these in the most positive way; • All the different interventions and choices you might face during labour, including pain relief, induction, instrumental delivery, caesarean sections; • Breathing techniques to help you; • The early weeks with a new baby, including practical skills such as nappy changing, cord care, sleep; • Learn about the fourth trimester and postnatal recovery.

we went to one of their music, movement and messy play sessions today and both my children (3 and 1 years old) absoutly loved it. I would highly reccomemed, the lady who ran it was lovely and we can't wait to go again next week.

Two amazing calm births with no fear produced two contented babies who loved Daisy yoga and massage classes through the years.

Couldn't recommend Jo and the girls enough. �

Some of my happiest memories of pregnancy are those spent with Jo and Shelley at Lazy Daisy classes. I learnt so much about birth including relaxation and breathing (I'll use my birthing breath for life now!). The yoga movement is fantastic and the class allows you to grow in confidence as you approach your due date. The Lazy Daisy team are amazing - always there to help, caring and supportive. We couldn't have done it without you.

My son and I absolutely loved the Tinies class at Finborough School on Tuesdays. Wasn't sure what to expect but it was a lovely bonding time for us, and made for a good day out each week. I'm looking forward to the Wrigglers class starting after half term. Will definitely recommend the classes to others and will try to continue attending as many classes as I can before I go back to work.

My partner and I attended one of the free antenatal classes today and we 100% recommend it! The midwife Emily was fantastic. She gave us lots of useful information over the four hour course, and we both came away feeling positive with lots of advice and information for us to take on board before our baby is here.

Loving my journey with Marnie & we cannot thank you all enough! From pregnancy to teenies and now wrigglies ! Cannot wait for next term to start. ❤

Hi, I can definitely recommend the Messy Play at Easton farm park today (bookable thru Suffolk Babies website) We had a great time with our little gang today... it was only £7.50 for the session and this got us a whole day of rainy but great fun at the farm park too. Thanks Harriet for the session X it runs thru the whole holidays too on a Monday... Fab x
