FOUNDER, TROPIC SKINCARE On The Past: My mother and I were living in a very small flat. We were really struggling for the rent. I said to my mum, "All of my friends live in houses and they have things. Are we gonna be living in this flat forever? Is this our life?" She said, "Well, Susie, probably. Sometimes in life you get dealt some cards and you just have to make the... most out of those cards that you're being dealt with." That's what really made me start my business. It was those thoughts and that want of making sure that we had a better future that kept me going throughout all the hardships within my company.
On The Future: I want to create a healthier, greener, and more empowered world. I really love our planet, and I've lived in three different countries: in China, Australia, and the U.K. I've seen so much. I've seen people really care about the environment. I've seen people not care about the environment. I've seen the destruction of the environment, and I've seen people be mistreated and treated well. The doors to Tropic's brand NEW HQ are now officially open! Lord Sugar joined our Founder, Susie Ma earlier this week for the official launch of the new site (which is five times the size of its predecessor!) at a tropical celebration. The good news is, the new space means more products than ever before! Tropic can now make around 17,000 Smoothing Cleansers in one batch, which equates to much more 'me time' and glowing skin across the country! The launch was also covered on the BBC news, and was documented by the Evening Standard, LBC and more - did you see us? I can't wait to see what the future holds in this new home!
