Massive Congratulations to Mark Price on landing this stunning carp. Known as the "Long Common" which not only broke his personal best but also the Lake record for @anglinglines Old Oaks Lake in France ­¤ć½­¤ćĘ at 69lb 12oz.
Catches of a life time can come when you least expect it but Marks angling from his description to me on the phone showed his week in france was anything but just a holiday. He worked extremely hard at his angling, ending up with 7 of the 12 captures from the ...lake in the week he was there.
All fish landed using a combo of Ocm and Pro Seed to which he only ordered after we sent some samples for him to have a look at. Mark tested them against another well know mail order bait company in a friends pond, to which he got a great response.
Order placed and rest is history! Moments like this make my job just the best in the world....

Since my time started at Tails Up way back in early 2005 one magazine has up until now been pivotal in helping Tails Up be noticed as one of the top bait companies out there!
In 2005 we took the decision to go Mail Order, embracing the internet enabling the consumer to order online. At the time (pre social media) we were one of a few companies to produce bait in house and supply direct to the customer as a result Carp Talk was instrumental... in our business plan of promotion and generating that buzz so many anglers got from seeing their hard earned captures in print which ultimately gave us a platform to sell our products!
All these years on we are still here and I believe a huge part of that has been down to the support Carp-Talk have given Tails Up, yes we have supported them but they have done so much for us to keep the brand recognised over the years, from articles, competitions and Front Covers.
It is a true shame that things sometimes have to come to an end due to economics and life supposably moving forward but id like to take this opportunity to thank all those at Carp Talk and those who I've worked with over the years Kevin, Simon, Paddy, Bev, Ben, and of course Chris Ball.
I would also like to thank all our customers and friends who sent pictures in during these years as without your help what we do wouldn't of been possible.
The last issue goes on sale 25th June, so grab your self a piece of heritage while you can.....
