We are a busy community library in the heart of Norfolk offering a wide range of literature, activities and events. We welcome all members of the community and visitors to the area

Taverham Library Description

Norfolk Libraries are managed by Norfolk County Council.

General information

Your local library has something for everyone and it’s free to join.
When you join, you can use any Norfolk Library to:
• Borrow up to 15 books for free, for up to 3 weeks at a time
• Borrow the latest DS, Wii & Playstation games at affordable hire fees
• Borrow the latest DVDs at affordable hire fees
• Borrow the latest CDs (not all libraries) at affordable hire fees
• Return all of the above to any library in Norfolk
• Download ebooks from the Norfolk Digital Library – up to 6 at a time, for a maximum of 3 weeks
• Request books online
• Renew books online
• Bring your children to Bookstart Bounce & Rhymes & other events
• Use our PCs – office software, email and the internet are all free
• Access study material
• Research local history
• Access business information (not all libraries)

Your library card will expire every three years to allow us to check that the information we hold about you is correct.

Please note we are unable to answer queries outside of our opening hours and from 1pm Saturday to Monday.

ON FRIDAY 21 JUNE 2019 MAKE MUSIC DAY IS COMING TO TAVERHAM LIBRARY
Make Music Day is the world’s largest annual music festival with FREE events in more than 800 cities across 120 countries. ... As part of the celebrations, Taverham Library will be hosting make music day from 11am on the 21st June. If you play an instrument or are part or a local group and would like to take part, please contact the library (01603 260545 or taverham.lib@norfolk.gov.uk) Make Music Day is a grassroots celebration of music that’s performed by anyone and enjoyed by everyone. Festivities will be taking place on the street, in parks, public spaces, shops and venues and musicians of all abilities can share their music with friends, neighbours and complete strangers. We loved it, was great for the kids, the set up process was quick and easy. Love that the kids can check in and out the books. We were made to feel welcome. Will be visiting regularly �
