Sarah, our amazing physiotherapist delivered a fantastic talk to veterinary nurses entitled 'physio for nurses' covering post operative physiotherapy and long term inpatient care. Did you know Sarah also runs workshops for pet owners to help manage orthopaedic or musculoskeletal conditions as well as workshops which enhance well-being? You can find Sarah at Norfolk Canine Veterinary Physiotherapy

Morse visited us because he was suffering from a painful ear, investigations revealed a grass seed firmly wedged in Morse's ear canal! Thankfully our vet Jordan was able to successfully remove the grass seed and Morse bounced home later that day feeling much better!

We have two Labradors who visit Longwater Lane for hydrotherapy, physio and osteo. Ophelia's first hydrotherapy visit was this week. She was given such a warm and loving reception and wagged her tail so much that she must have thought this was her birthday treat! Sarah the pyshio was a huge support for Mabel (and for us!) when she had a hip replacement. A worrying time but she helped us work through many exercises and kept dog and owner focused. The osteo has been very thorough putting in place a well thought out plan for our elderly dog. The receptionists are all so welcoming as are their dogs sitting on the chairs or beds in the background. Lucky are the dogs and owners that come to Longwater Lane

We brought our lurcher Goofy into Taverham vets post-GDV surgery. The care he received could not have been better and we are happy to say that as a direct result of the professional care given by the Taverham vets and nurses, he is now a very happy boy and enjoying his food once again. Thank you to Luca and all the team.

After writing my initial review I was contacted by our nurse and she explained she'd been taking care of a poorly little kitten that had been bought in after being found at the side of the road having seizures. Since she was out back she wasn't aware we were there and reception had not let her know. She apologised for not explaining this and it was just a communication breakdown. This is quite understandable and despite the stress to our cat much more important the little kitten is taken care of. Therefore I happily change my review to 5 stars.

We've been twice now to Taverham Vets our first experience was excellent we arrived a few minutes before our appointment and were seen almost instantly the Dr was excellent and handled our cat well, all the staff were polite friendly and helpful. If I was writing this review at that point it would be 5 stars.

However our second time was a less pleasant experience and I have to say I was very disappointed with the experience this time. We turned up for our nurses appointment 5 mins before it was due at 10:30 there was already one other person waiting and another person joined to wait with us. The first person waiting went in about 10:30 and came out maybe 10:35. Thinking we'd be seen straight away next and that they were just a bit behind we continued to wait and it wasn't till 10:50 that I gave up and asked reception what was going on. The nurse then appeared a few minutes later and she was great with our cat and we were out within about 10 mins. Now it may seem petty to be writing a 2 star review for waiting 20 mins, but its understanding why it was so late with barely an apology for the delay and no obvious reason. There wasn't a delay in the appointments no one in with the nurse for at least 15 mins. If I had not asked at reception how long would we have been kept waiting there? Its very distressing for any animal to be kept waiting in a vets and unfair to put them through that unneeded stress.

Just a very disappointing particularly after such a good first experience.

Unfortunately we had to visit the norwich night vet... And although the outcome was euthanasia for our beloved dog.... I wanted to say a huge thank you to Daniel and Danielle who were amazing, I could tell Daniel was genuinely gutted with the outcome but also Danielle was amazing in saying "good boy you sleep tight, go to sleepy" for me this helped hugely. So although my review is a sad one, on the flip side the staff were absolutely fantastic. Thank you.

User

The vets, nurses and support team have been great supporting our not so chubby now cocker spaniel to reach a healthy weight and they have been instrumental in supporting us to get Blue’s arthritis we’ll managed as a result of his weight loss and appropriate meds. So much more mobile and happy in himself. We are always well cared for and informed by the team and have really appreciated the care they have given us with all our pets over the years. Thanks

User

Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of pip during her operation on Thursday. Everything was explained very well & if I thought of any questions I just had to call.

She is Home & recovering well now due to your quick & caring service.

Thank you very much.

User

Thank you so much to Tom for seeing my pug puppy Dora at late night with no appointment on Thursday - because of your quick referral to Debenham Vets for the eye specialist at our follow up appointment Friday, Dora has had an emergency corneal graft which will potentially save her eye and make a huge difference to her life - I can’t thank you enough! Xx

Sadly I had to make a decision about my 19 year old cat, his deteriorating physical health and dementia meant his quality of life was getting worse quicker than I had expected. I struggled so much making the call to the vets but they were amazing. In floods of tears I phoned and explained the situation and said I couldn’t bare to make an appointment in the week when I would have to make a calculated decision to say goodbye to my buddy. Did they understand? They most certainly did! We were seen within an hour. All the staff were amazing and understanding. The vet assessed the situation and said euthanasia was appropriate. What I gleaned from that was they would not be prepared to euthanise for the sake of it. When the time came I can honestly say that this team were respectful to me and my beautiful cat. I can’t thank you enough Taverham vets for your compassion towards me and my cat. You made it bearable and I am very grateful. Thank you

User

Our puppy got hold of some chocolate on Christmas Day. Not much but we panicked. Phoned up Taverham Vets. Chatted to a lovely lady, weight of dog, type and amount of chocolate. Very reassuringly said he’d be fine he’d have to consume 10x as much to be in danger. It would have been very easy to advise we take him in and charge us. He has of course been fine. Thank you.

User

Our cat Kylie was a frequent visitor to Taverham vets during her long lifetime and was always treated with the utmost care and compassion. So when it came to us having to make the heart breaking but necessary decision to say goodbye to her two weeks ago, we were not surprised that everyone there was wonderful at this most difficult of times. From beginning to end, their care of Kylie and of our family was exemplary. Thanks to you all for all you did for our gorgeous girl.

Once again a caring and fantastic service for Poppy, I cannot recommend highly enough and would like to thank all of the staff for taking care of Poppy like their own.

Never felt rushed and was explained everything in a timely manner. I liked how all of the staff knew her and what she had done so the service is that much more personal and friendly. Thank you from a rather gummy Poppy and me!

I've been a customer with Taverham Vets (using all three branches, Taverham, Longwater and Bure Valley in Aylsham) for approximately 18 months and I couldn't ask for a better vets. I have two dogs, who until earlier this year just had their usual check ups with Bure Valley vets with only a couple of extra appointments for small things. But this year one of my dogs has had to have two(!!) cruicate ligament operations! Leaving your dog for an op and not being able to pick them up until the next day is really hard, but the team at all three branches have been awesome and so caring. The detail and care from Guy (who did the op and all follow up checks) has been tremendous and the after care with physio, Sarah, and hyrdo with Helen and Chantelle, has been awesome! They are so lovely and caring. I couldn't ask for more from a vet and would thoroughly recommend them.

User

I have been using Taverham Vets for 7 years and cannot fault them. The staff are friendly, helpful and compassionate. The vets that I have seen (and I have seen several over the years) explain things clearly and are happy to answer questions as best they can. One of my dogs is very timid and they are wonderful with her. Visiting the vets is not always a pleasant experience but thanks to Taverham Vets it isn't an ordeal.

User

Everyone at Taverham took such great care of Murphy and I when he became sick. I was kept very well informed, Murphy was scared but they took time to calm him down and even sang to him so they could take his blood. The vets took time to explain all options, with great compassion and an endless supply of tissues. Sadly Murphy passed away but we were allowed plenty of time with him first to tell him we loved him. Laura called the next day to say how sorry she was and with news of his final results, this really has helped with our grief. Thank you so much.

User

Daisy is coming up for 8 this year and Taverham vets have always been amazing and calm! Daisy is very strong and does not like anal gland squeezing or nail cutting or kennel cough nose meds but they all handle her calmly and make me feel assured 😂!!!!!! They give great advise and money saving tips for preventative conditions! I think you all do an amazing fabulous job!

User

5* is not enough thank you Paula, Tom, Barbara and the lovely nurse sorry you told me your name. The sad day had come and from making an appointment with the chosen vet Tom to saying goodbye to Gypsy. How respectful you was to my dad too. The personal touch was amazing. Barbara thank you

User

Reggie had his yearly check up today, great service, the vet we saw was lovely, he was very caring and made a lot of fuss of Reggie who was a little fretful. All good with the check and now home we have one happy puss..... Thank you to all at Taverham Vets.

User

First time in Taverham Vets Longwater, booked an appointment a week in advance and we got here to be told the appointment was booked in another branch! We totally understand “mistakes happen” but what I can’t understand the need to be rude to your costumers. Very unhelpful staff, never a “I’m sorry for the mistake” nothing! The only solution they offer was “sit and wait to see if the vet can see you in between!” How long for? - we asked. “We don’t know” - was the answer. We will def not recommend it to anybody.

Reggie had his yearly check up today, great service, the vet we saw was lovely, he was very caring and made a lot of fuss of Reggie who was a little fretful. All good with the check and now home we have one happy puss..... Thank you to all at Taverham Vets.
