LGBTQ+ Film Night – A Fantastic Woman

We watched the Starmaker Talent show last night (4 November) and was extremely impressed at the professionalism and quality of the show Thameside Young Producers put on. The variety of acts on stage made it an entertaining evening. We have been to Starmaker a few times now and it is great to see how many talented people are in Thurrock and how the performers are improving year on year. A big congratulations must go to Franki and the team for putting on such an enjoyable show may this continue for many years!

Starmaker Competition last night at the Thameside Theatre was first class. To see the amount of young talent in Thurrock was amazing from the youngest performer who I think was 4 to the larger dance schools and solo performers was a true delight. To think the whole event was organised by the Thameside Young Producers who ran, stage managed, promoted and of course performed two stunning original numbers which were fresh innovative entertaining and beautifully executed. Frankie McEwen Lead Producer on the show did a fantastic job and I had to remind myself a few times during my enjoyment of the show that this had all been created by local kids. In a time when the youth of Thurrock who often get a bad rep I felt proud of all the kids who took part and what a wonderful chance for kids to perform on a professional stage and show all the hard work and dedication they put into what they do and love. Even more of reason to keep our local theatres open and alive in our communities
