finally got to discover one of the best kept secret bar and Café in Barking, so friendly and a great atmosphere, will be making this my regular place to hang out!

What a brilliant night we had at The Boat House bar. This must be one of the areas best kept secrets with views of the river and the smell of an amazing jerk chicken barbeque in the air. Derrick and Alison give their guests such a warm welcome not to mention a dazzling array of cocktails that anyone would soon feel at home in this quirky venue that feels like it should be in Camdon or Somewhere equally trendy! It was my absolute pleasure to provide party music for the evening and even more delighted to announce that I'll be back there in September.

Went today had most cocktails off the menu,felt at home, so friendly felt so welcomed, food 1st class,had a great afternoon a little gem in barking �����

We popped in and had a bbq for our brunch today!! What a lovely little place. The staff and the owner are really welcoming and friendly. We opted for jerk chicken burgers which were freshly cooked to order and absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy and tender and the bun was fresh. The side salad was fresh and crisp and the fries were hot and had also been freshly cooked and served immediately. The funky background music helped to create the perfect ambience and the drinks selection on offer is great. Definitely worth a visit. We will return next time we're in the area for sure.

We had our work summer party, Moss Bros, we had a fabulous night!! Great cocktails and good food,the music was spot on for a summers evening. Our host was lovely and could not do enough. Just wish we could have stayed and partied past 11. Wonderful night!!

This place is one of those 5 star joints, that actually deserves an extra star. Del-Boy, Alison & Leanne go that extra step, (not annoyingly in your face) to give the best service of the most delicious wares, in a really welcoming, well fitted-out place, with such a great atmosphere. I could move in. Totally, definitely recommendable. Top Beers & Wines, Over the top Cocktails, Super Panini, Great Cakes, and delicious coffee made very well. It has become my favourite ever bar. The music they choose is great too. I'm so lucky, as I live close enough to fire a Champagne cork into my sitting room. Only down side, is I have to go up steps to get home! Just love the place.

Literally stumbled across this place by accident one night, couldn’t settle at home so we come out for a drive this evening and ended up here! What a lovely little place! Great decor, lovely view chilled vibe and an excellent coffee! Will definitely be heading back for some of those lovely looking cocktails! A proper hidden gem!

I was introduced to this lovely gem by my son who is a resident in a neighbouring block. We were treated like old friends as we arrived by the lovely family run staff, sampled some of the most amazing cocktails I've ever tasted and all in the capsule of a beautiful, well thought out cafe/bar in the ice quarter of Barking. The atmosphere was relaxed, the music low and chilled, the staff, warm and inviting and the setting, totally enchanting with the feel of being shipwrecked on a tropical island with hand made furnishings oozing with urban charm. As well as a captivating interior they also boost an amazing seating area overlooking the River Roding with barges, boats, seagulls and even a shipwreck or two. I did not sample the food served on this occasion but this just gives me another reason to make sure my virgin journey to this wonderful place is not my first and only but most definitely a return journey and hopefully a much loved port that I will dock in at every journey to this part of of London.

Great coffee and great cocktails. Also the expresso martinis will knock you for six. And if you're lucky you might get mama's soup.
