Wonderful lunch with a great bunch of friends. Fabulous food and absolutely great service from our waitress Ruby, she truly is an asset. Also had what we think is the best table in the place, the little alcove. Hope to visit again soon.

User

Was really lucky to get an invite to the soft opening of The Boot for Sunday service. The meal was amazing, took the kids and they loved it. The roast was amazing, lovely cuts of beef cooked perfectly pink, fab! The staff were really great especially as for our waitress it was her third shift.

It’s a great addition to the amazing food establishments in the village offering something a little extra special.

Great atmosphere, lovely decor. Can’t wait to go back again very soon.

User

Was lucky enough to be invited to the soft opening on sunday. Well what can i say! Beautiful decor, warm cosy and welcoming. Staff were all very friendly and food was cooked to perfection. Lovely menu choice. Already booked for a return visit. Well done to all the team at the boot, keep up the good work and all the best for the future. Xxx

User

Superb food, very comfortable ambience, very attentive staff, a lovely place that we most certainly will revisit!

User

Just had a very nice two course Sunday lunch with friends. The beef and pork roasts were cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. We had very good service from numerous staff that attended to our table, they were friendly, and very welcoming. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, we will most definitely return again. Thank you for a throughly enjoyable lunch.

User

Just had a beautiful meal with hubby for our 31st anniversary- absolutely no complaints, duck confit followed by pistachio soufflé - superb. Definitely be going back, booking for birthday soon. Thank you for a nommy evening.

User

I was treated to an evening meal for my birthday. Loved it. A really relaxed atmosphere & great food. Our waitress, Diane, was so lovely, friendly & extremely attentive. We will be back to try out other dishes on the varied menu.

User

I was treated for my birthday from my wonderful mother in law. Everything was perfect. Excellent service and excellent food. We highly recommend it. Thank you

User

Had lunch at The Boot today to celebrate my husband's birthday and Mother's Day. The food was delicious! The best burger I've ever had for sure. It all looked and tasted amazing. The service throughout our whole meal was brilliant. Can't wait to come back and try more food and we even booked to have our Christmas dinner here this year :)

User

Had a wonderful meal at the soft opening last night. Mussels to start followed by the onglet steak, and then the coffee cup pudding. Totally stuffed afterwards but all was wonderful. Fantastic decor. Really lovely service from numerous staff all made us feel very welcome. Well done team!

User

Had a wonderful long afternoon at the Boot Inn yesterday, the food was delicious, setting was lovely and the staff were great! Can’t wait to go back! 👍🏼

User

Had a delicious 3 course family lunch to celebrate my son’s birthday. The menu choices were very good, the food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious - the suckling pig just melted in my mouth., the service was very good and staff were relaxed and friendly. We were all very pleased with our meals, so much so that we have already booked for Christmas Day !

User

Had a 2 course lunch here on a Saturday. Lots of choice on the menu. We especially enjoyed the starters (cheese soufflé and chicken liver parfait) and main courses of seafood were very good too. Lovely friendly waitress who was very attentive.

Found it a little confusing in layout as you walk in but other than that all good and we will definitely be returning.

User

Delicious lunch on a Monday - restaurant full so we sat in the bar with our dog. Excited to go back again.

User

All the staff were super friendly on walking in and did whatever they could to help. Gorgeous decor. Kids said the macaroni cheese and kid's burger were the best in the world (praise indeed from fussy eaters...). Duck and beef bourg both fantastic. Pistachio soufflé a-ma-zing!

User

A last minute lunch on a Monday, we were very kindly fitted in to a busy dining room. The Peruvian chicken was tasty, the pistachio soufflé with chocolate ice-cream was superlative. I am so glad to have somewhere to go that does real food. We weren't offered the set menu, but perhaps it wasn't available that day. I will ask in future. Service was pleasant. Free baby food - macaroni and beans - was very much appreciated. I didn't like the automatic 10% tip inclusion, that's not okay, but I guess me not leaving as much as I might have done is offset by all those who don't tip. I look forward to seeing this place get better as it beds in. Did I mention the pudding? That was really good.

User

Mother’s Day lunch with my daughter and grandchildren. A good welcome and shown to our table, the waitress introduced herself and was very bubbly. The pub was busy with lots of families with young children which made it quite noisy and boisterous at times. There was quite a wait for food but was well presented when served. It was a very enjoyable meal, there were lots of waiting staff but perhaps not enough in the kitchen. I would go back but I do feel the venue is giving off very mixed messages, is it a pub or is it aiming for a more fine dining experience. At the moment it’s a pub with space for children to play outside with good but slightly more expensive food, with rather small portions in some instances. Overall an enjoyable experience.

User

The welcome was warm and the decor is lovely, but my birthday dinner was disappointing. There were only 2 veggie options, and our waitress assured us there was nothing for vegans, which is pretty astonishing. She said they also couldn't adapt other dishes by leaving out the meat, because of other ingredients (e.g. the onion soup is made with meat stock). So I was left with mushroom risotto (so fed up with risotto as a veggie option) and what I had, which was pumpkin ravioli with pumpkin puree and roast pumpkin. It was very pretty, fairly bland, and very, very pumpkiny. You really need to try harder with the non-meat menu, The Boot.

User

My 4th visit and standards are slipping. We had to wait 15 minutes at the bar to order at lunchtime. Our party of 4 had food arriving at different times and on 3 occasions we had to request cutlery. The food was just okay but nothing special. It was like a different place to the one visited at the start of February and it wasn't even that busy. We did each get a complimentary glass of wine for the problems but this didn't really compensate that this was my friend's birthday and she ate her main course alone as she was asked to eat as the rest of the food wasn't ready. [this is an edited review from my 5* one back in February]
