What a little gem of a place.

Had amazing tapas evening, all dishes excellent. Wine was very good and reasonably priced. Desserts were 5 star, (although we struggled after the tapas meal).

Service was excellent - all in all a really good evening. Will definitely be going back

User

We spent 3 days at Porthcawl and had all our breakfasts there because we fell in love with this place!!

First day we were a table of 15 and they managed to fit us there, they were patient and nice as we were with 8 kids. Everybody loved what they ordered, from full broomwagon breakfast to omelette. Even, the last day we ordered sandwiches to take away, they were freshly made, delicious and at a very reasonable price.

Would love to have this cafe around the corner at home!!

User

We had afternoon tea here today for a friends birthday. I would recommend it to all. We were a group of 29 and nothing was too much trouble for Sue and the team. The food was amazing and lots of it and the coffee and tea kept flowing.

User

We go there every week best place to eat in Porthcawl, delicious food, reasonable prices and friendly staff.

User

Visited today for the first time - have to say the breakfast is the most elegant looking breakfast I have EVER seen. Was absolutely delicious, too. Best caramel Latte I've ever tasted too!

On top of that - the service has to be the best service I've ever recieved. We had an amazingly warm reception even though we'd never been there before & the lady who served us was the so friendly & absolutely lovely.

Even came over to check everything was okay just because we'd ordered an extra tea just incase there was anything wrong with the first one.

You don't get service like the service offered here anywhere else that I've been.

The Broomwagon is a 5* gem!

User

Very warm welcome for our afternoon tea which we won . All homemade and absolutely delicious. Looked stunning. Would highly recommend. Thankyou so much sue and staff xx

User

Very warm and welcoming friendly service and the food was amazing. A little gem!

User

This cafe is by far the best in Porthcawl. Staff that smile, always recognise us and give us a warm welcome, great food, and a wide choice. My husband and I visit every week and I can highly recommend the cakes, the omelettes, and toasties. Hubby had a fab special today, sausage and mash with onion gravy. Have yet to try the salads and soups. Highly recommended

User

Thank you so much for an excellent Tapas evening! The food was delicious, service exceptional and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice meal with friends! I cannot wait for the next one! That’s without mentioning the excellent breakfasts that I have enjoyed there numerous times, consistently tasty and the service never fails to impress!! See you soon!

User

Thank you Sue and staff for today. It was like an explosion by the time we had left but you couldn't do enough for my tired and hungry children . You made lunch easy. Oh and the cheese and potato pie never fails! xx

User

Sue and the team cannot do enough, we’ve supported the cafe since it opened, and have come here for mummy tea breaks, (lots of) coffee, cake, tapas, Sunday dinners, and now our little girls 2nd birthday!! Fantastic food, fantastic people couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

User

Lovely little place. My friends + I + our daughters really enjoyed afternoon tea + the childrens christmas afternoon tea recently. It was one of the best we have tried (+ we have tried quite a few) would definitely go back. The nutella cheesecake was delish!

I hate doing this i really do but i feel i have to , my lovely sister purchased four afternoon teas for us as a pick me up as i am poorly , we arrived very nice place clean nicely decorated very impressive menu , I purchased cold drinks at this point which were very nice ...then the tea arrives to my dismay the sandwiches were coated and sat in suger from the 4 wedges of victoria sponge that were squashed and slammed onto the plate ...the sponge was dry and inedible which was demonstrated by the amount left on the plates, as my daughter was disappointed as it is only the sandwiches and cake she would eat i purchased a piece of chocolate cake ...she took one bite pulled a face ..didnt complain ...i tasted it yip dry once again so even more money down the drain ... we then proceeded to the scones .oh my word the scones were full of salt inedible yet again ..we at that point gave up the ghost we left ..and yes we should have complained there and then but we did not as i could see by the avoidance of the staff to ask if everything was ok it would fallen on deaf ears However my sister did write you a complaint you agreed the sandwiches should not have been coated in suger and we should have asked for fresh ..no we should never have recieved them in this state in the begining poor service not good practice. Scones you agreed your cook had tried a new recipe and they were indeed to salty..you disagreed the victoria sponge as it was fresh when you tasted it later ..my view on this if the cake was fresh then ours must have been standing for a very long time in your hot kitchen !! I am sorry but your offer of a 10 pound voucher is a pure insult (which she has not collected ) after all the money we spent with you on the day and prior , baring in mind you agreed not to standard ?? So how does 10 pounds compensate ,, , i hope you read this and rethink and send my sister her due refund not 10 pounds and not expect her to call in for it either !!, if you do reconsider i will be happy to give a further review of the situation.
