We've just returned from the Elton Village Fete, held in side the pub because of the miserable weather.

Inside the pub the sun was shining! Marcus, Xin and the team made it an afternoon to remember. With great live music, loads of stalls in the conservatory even a Chinese dumpling stall and superb hog roast. The children played together and had a wonderful time.

It is a long time since I had been to the Crown (before Marcus took over), they have made it into a real traditional village pub but with the emphasis on quality in everything from food to the rooms, including hospitality.

We will be back soon!

We love the Crown- it's our local and we know Nina very well. We decided to stay at the Crown during our wedding. Wow- the rooms are truly beautiful. Tastefully decorated and our room even came with our own private garden. Our friends who were also staying at the pub, were very impressed too. We had a big Sunday roast the day after the wedding and the food was delicious. Great service!

We had a fantastic meal at the crown inn today, staff were great. We went for Sunday lunch to celebrate a 60th birthday (11 people). Great homemade food cooked to order and the kids loved their children's meals and activities which kept them occupied. We will be back.

Stayed over last night. Lovely room and excellent food. � Would highly recommend �

Stayed for one night on the 19th June. What a fantastic stay the staff are lovely the rooms are beautiful and the food is fantastic. We will definitely be back there again.

Second time I have been to The Crown Inn, this time I went with family for our sons 17th Birthday and it was lovely, fabulous food, great service, and value for money, even my husband loved it and he hates dining out!! 5* and we will definitely be booking again in the near future. Just had a family Sunday lunch and from the start to the finish the service was excellent and the food was some of the best I have had in the area for along time. Really nice to get fresh and home cooked food. A little gem of of a place a real must.

I was taken to the crown for my birthday lunch. The meal was gorgeous and the owner could not do enough for us. A special bottle of bubbly for my birthday and my pudding , complete with candle ,all on the house. Thank you. We will be back for Christmas lunch.

I stayed here for a couple of nights last week; beautiful room, private garden, friendly staff, fabulous food, good value. I would definitely stay again and would recommend The Crown Inn to others.

Great experience. Rooms as good as any 5 star hotel. Sunday lunch and breakfast both excellent and well presented. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic food amazing thank you guys top stuff�pizzas for the kids were amazing and the special of Beef and Ale pie was awesome.

Amazing. Even though the vegetarian/vegan menu was not out currently as it was being re done I was given many options to choose from and some specials from the chef, all of which were lovely! I am so sorry I didn't get his name but the Italian waiter was amazing ! Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Absolutely amazing place to stay over very welcoming staff members ..we stayed over last night and as we arrived late we didn't expected to get dinner in the restaurant but one lovely member of staff said he can find place for us amazing food of good of value and so beautiful room to stay over....deffietly we going there again .

Nice Inn, tucked away slightly off the beaten track in a gorgeous village.



Bed was very uncomfortable for both my wife and myself and the paintwork, especially the door frame / skirting board in the bathroom could do with a tidy up - quite badly chipped.



Evening meal was nice and breakfast was enormous.



The reason for giving only three stars is because it was expensive to stay there for what was offered and the tatty paintwork let it down and didn't realise we would be staying in an annexe at the back of the inn by the car park. This wasn't explained either by Late Rooms or on the inn's web site.

Service in the restaurant was terrible, we was waiting for food 1 hour, when we was ready to left the restaurant, only then waiter bring us for a food, We didn't touch food and left restaurant, but they ask us to pay for that.Manager and waiter is the same person, he was rude to us, he up his voice. Worse service ever!
