What a gem - so pleased to have discovered this Hotel and Restaurant. We had a very enjoyable overnight stay booked as a surprise birthday treat. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. A nice touch to have complimentary tea and cake on arrival. The interior is quirky and interesting as well as very comfortable. We had a delicious evening meal and breakfast. Excellent customer service. Thank you to the Dial House team for making our visit so pleasurable. We will certainly be returning.

We loved our stay at the dial house. Our room 'Italian palace' was amazing. We didn't want to leave. We received complimentary tea and cake on arrival, and had a lovely meal in the evening. Great service. We will definatly be back to try the other rooms!

We had a super lunch at the Dial house today, would definitely recommend the BBQ carrots and the roasted salmon. You have to leave room for the wonderful desserts, as my friend said the Lavender brûlée with rye, blackberries and yogurt was the best dessert she has eaten, and the strawberries with chai were very tasty. Will definitely be going back! Staff very friendly and helpful. Thanks.

We called at Dial House yesterday, 14th October. They were quite busy but found room for my wife and I in the garden room. We had afternoon tea, with a cheese scone and a fruit scone! Delicious! The place is amazing, the stafff very friendly, attentive and chatty. Without being asked they topped up our teapot with hot water! That must be a first. I was tempted to have a piece of their beautiful cake, but resisted.

Maybe I shall have to return soon to sample the cake! Thank you.

Had a fantastic lunch at the Dial House today. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious plus excellent service! Will definitely return.

Genuinely the tastiest food in Norfolk. The staff are fun and knowledgeable and there are no poor menu choices to be made - everything tasted fabulous (even made my wife's salivary glands ache). Cannot recommend more.

Excellent service and food everything perfect the best afternoon tea we have had.

Delicious food, and cool atmosphere. Loved looking at all the antiques. The afternoon tea looked lovely too. Will be going back for that.

While I thought that the Afternoon Tea was lovely and food was very adequate, I was surprised that I had to pay extra for 2nd cuppa's! Very nice staff and lovely rooms to relax.

China room, lovely. Restaurant could do better, service on the Monday a very quiet night was poor, food was just warm and being stuck in the Library I think they forgot about us! No more than about 8 people in total in the restaurant, food should have been perfect!

We stayed for our wedding night on 16/6/18 it was a lovely room with a nice private patio area but we only giving a 3 star because I had to clean the shower head in the morning as a lot of the holes where blocked with lime scale and we seemed to have to wait a while for our breakfast.

Stayed here on Saturday after our wedding, I had messaged in advance to say we wouldn’t be arriving until around midnight and was told this wouldn’t be a problem.

When we arrived there had been no key left for us, the door was locked and the hotel is unmanned overnight. My husband and I were left outside unsure of what to do. In the end we used another guests key to get into the building but we were still left without a room for the night. We found an emergency contact number on the side for a member of staff (who I have to say was brilliant and probably the only reason I’m giving a 2* review) she got out of bed and drove to the hotel to sort things out for us. When she arrived she was able to locate an emergency key and got us some champagne to apologise. The room (once we actually got into it) was lovely, but the key to the door didn’t actually work meaning we had to have the room unlocked all night.It wasn’t quite how we envisioned spending our wedding night.



Then to top it off I’ve had a message left on my phone this morning to say there had been a mistake and the hotel hasn’t charged my card, can I call back to pay! I call back and the lady I spoke to didn’t know anything about it so now I’m awaiting another call back...



Think you need to get yourselves abit more organised and sort it out!

So disappointed,

It was a shame we hadn't taken our Easter eggs with us today as we had to wait an hour for our meals (one salad and two cooked meals) to appear!!

The waiter was apologetic and said they were very busy, but hey that's not our problem. We were not advised of a long wait from point of ordering and in fact the couple at the next table who arrived after us had two courses before our meals appeared. Another couple who also arrived after us, finished their meal and paid as we started to eat ours.

We were offered free drinks after we had asked where our food was and guess what?.....the drink then appeared on the bill!! Fortunately we spotted it.

So be warned you could well have a long wait. We certainly won't be going again in a hurry.

Service and environment very pleasant and welcoming . But the food was very disappointing,extremely small portion size for a main course. No salad served with main .
