The Dower House Touring Park Description
A warm welcome to the Touring park where most of the "extras" are free and our large pitches come as standard. Listen and you will hear nature and birdsong rather that the clatter of gaming machines you may get elsewhere, because we never compromise on environmental quality. So come and enjoy the freedom, peacefulness and ambience of our wonderful woodland location.
Here in the heart of the forest we create a feeling of being closer to nature and further from the bustle of everyday life. Our large heated swimming pool has a warm welcome waiting so come along and enjoy a dip! We are also proud to receive, for the fourteenth consecutive year, the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. Based on customers’ opinions and their experiences whilst staying at the Dower House, this award is especially important to us, not only as it means we are protecting our valuable surrounding countryside, but also that our campers appreciate this. A real honour!
We look forward to welcoming you to The Dower House Touring Park this season, and remember, with fewer but larger pitches it is important to book early!

All caterers are external companies who will be on site in the evening on these days, they will be situated out on the front grass near to the swimming pool or in the bar garden.

Hello to all our lovely followers!!
With bank holiday and half term approaching, many of you have been asking what food facilities are on site.
As many of you will remember, last year we had our restaurant leased externally as a trial for the season to see how this would work.
... As you can appreciate this a very difficult thing to ask anyone to undertake because they only have a job for certain weeks of the year i.e the times we are busiest such as school holidays, and then the site is closed for 6 months of the year.
That said, this was not a viable option to continue into this season, so the bar restaurant is not open as it was last year, whilst we explore other options. The onsite bar still remains the same, open at all the same times.
Food wise, for now, we will revert back to asking external caterers to come onto site, such as the very popular fish & chip van, pizza van etc and these will be announced on our facebook page as soon as we know the final line ups prior to any upcoming holidays - and will always be available on display outside reception during your visit.
Thankyou all for your support, and keep your eyes peeled for any food announcements on the page.

It is a quite site with long walks through the forest the staff are friendly and very helpful we have been to Dower House two summers now the first summer we went for a week and stayed a month we loved it so much so decided to put our name down for a seasonal pitch so last summer we stayed from March till September and looking forward to spending the next summer there wish we could stay there all year
