We had a smashing Sunday lunch yesterday, big portions, friendly fun service, lots of space and best of all you can take your dog in there so everyone's happy ��

We came on Christmas Eve and had a fantastic meal.. can’t wait to come back again.. excellent service and the food was out of this world.. the roast lamb was incredible!! See you soon!!

This is our local pub and have had many celebrations here, some good food and some not so good ..ate here Saturday night the restaurant was full of atmosphere and the food wonderful.

Very impressed..

The only thing I have noticed recently is the lack of people on a Saturday night!

Which is a real shame .

Oh my goodness. If we were local it would be dangerous. We’d be here every weekend for roast. Chose this pub for a meal on our way back from camping and all I can say is absolutely incredible in every way. Friendly welcoming staff who couldnt do enough, lovely plonk, very clean beautiful pub and by far the best roast we have ever eaten, so fresh and tasty and hooooge portions to boot. Imagine all those things in one hit and this is it. Highly highly recommend this place! Oh and dog friendly for the Cherry on top! Thank you guys at the FH! We’ll be back!�

Lovely friendly place. The room was really nice everything we needed. The homemade biscuits were delicious. Could not complain about anything. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Love this place, Annette & Stuart are amazing hosts. The food is delicious, rooms are comfortable and the pub itself has a warm, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

Had the best Sunday roast here today, loved the massive yorkie and the cauliflower cheese!

Great choice of food, good choice of beer/ales and incredibly accommodating. Very comfortable room, free wifi free parking. Perfect for my visit. Couldn't recommend highly enough and will definitely be back.

Going out for dinner can be a bit of a bus mans holiday for me. Having worked in the industry for 30 years now, i tend to have my beady eye on everything that's going on when i eat out. Ate here tonight and honestly could not fault it. The food was devine - so fresh and tasty. The chap who served us was also really good - 'Ben P'. Friendly and seemed to genuinely want to provide a good service and to care about where he worked. The only problem was trying to choose what to have - all the starters especially looked fab so am clearly going to have to return to try them all! The new management definitely seem to have made some great improvements.

Food:



ALWAYS cooked beautifully. I have eaten the roast dinner, burgers, pasta, salmon etc and it is always cooked to a high standard. Never dry, greasy, over or under cooked. Always perfect regardless of what you order



Drinks:



ALWAYS a wise variety of drinks on bar. Whatever the occasion there is always a nice drink available and in many different variations.



Service:



ALL staff are amazing. All very polished, polite and organised. Always put the customer first and try their best to ensure the customers experience is the best possible. Always very quick on their feet despite any pressures or busy periods.

Brilliant! We needed somewhere to stay with the dog whilst visiting friends and this was perfect and very dog friendly, including dog treats in the room! The staff are friendly and food and service excellent �

Annette and her team have been so wonderful this weekend looking after me whilst I got married! Firstly, we had dinner on Friday for 11 of us and every single meal came out perfect, and every plate returned to the kitchen empty. Then a night in one of the Coach House rooms for me and 2 of my bridesmaids, the room was such a good size 8 of us managed to get ready there in the morning! Breakfast was also beautiful, and Annette was so kind to offer to bring me toast throughout the morning to beat the 'morning of' nerves.

I can't thank you all enough, you made me, my wife and a whole family feel really welcome and comfortable all weekend. We will be back!!!

Amazing, we had a lovely dinner yesterday with most of our family. The staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Despite my daughter taking "centre stage" they handled it really well and left us all smiling. Lovely food and great atmosphere!

Amazing roast dinner with friends yesterday. The best roast ive ever had and will be back next Sunday. Staff were also very welcoming.

It was a treat to see a couple of vegan meals as well as vegetarian...well done...more needed please�

We made a last minute decision to pop in to the Fishermans Haunt for dinner. It was very quiet but we received a friendly welcome and were impressed with the choice of ales on offer. Unfortunately both my husband and I experienced an upset tummy after eating here, so won’t be returning (we ordered a pie and scampi and chips). It’s a shame as seems a really nice little pub.

Me and my family are absolutely disgusted with the way we were treated here!! We have visited many times before during the summer months and after last night will not be returning or recommending you!

We sat in the very quiet restaurant area to the back where my 4 year old son was threatened by your so called manager !! Not under any circumstances is it acceptable to come threaten a very young child in his face!!!! You left him very distressed after what you said which is appalling and particularly worse for a child who suffers from speech and expression difficulties.we were polite the children were sat at the table and you had no reason what so ever for the way you behaved!!

I am taking this case further and will be intouch in due course, I have your name and details.
