Fun Palaces will be back at The Higgins Bedford on Saturday 6th October and Sunday 7th October and we're super excited! It's jam-packed with activities.....there is even going to be a farm!

Join us for a variety of free sociable and relaxing activities to help improve your feelings of wellbeing. Including creative art sessions and traditional table top games. Minded Yoga session 2-3pm Poetry Tea Party 2:30 - 4pm These afternoons are open to all but we aim to create a relaxing and supportive atmosphere for people to feel comfortable in. No unaccompanied or young children please.

Explore new exhibitions and favourite spaces. Join in with local artists for our popular family friendly art and craft workshops.
Workshops start at 11am, 12:30 and 2pm, last an hour and are aimed at 5 to 13 year olds (not suitable for under 3’s) All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sketch Fridays - Free Every Friday, 12pm – 4pm
Drawing and sketching are great ways to de-stress and relax. Explore the works in our beautiful galleries and be inspired to create your own work of art. Materials are provided, or you can bring your own. Please do not bring paint or materials that might cause damage to the collection.

The Higgins Bedford will be hosting OUTIng the Past National Festival for LGBT History 2019 as one of the national hub venues in February. OUTing the Past are looking for speakers on the 2019 theme, ‘History II: Peace, Reconciliation, and Activism’, celebrating the official end of the First World War and marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
