Wow! What a breath of fresh air... first time I’ve been in years. We had a surprise birthday lunch for my dad. 11 in total including 4 kids all under ten. Food was reasonably priced and plentiful portions. The service was fantastic polite and welcoming. Definitely be returning more frequently �

Went to the Horseshoe for a family birthday, as usual the food , service and atmosphere were amazing .

We had about 20 people in our party and all meals were delivered together , all piping hot .

Today was the third time my wife and I had visited and once again we were delighted with every aspect of our experience.

The quality of the food, the service and the value for money was once again, in our opinion, exceptional.

Reading some of the less favourable reviews is very surprising to us as we are very keen to return again in the very near future!!

The food was lovely and presented well, and the staff really took good care of you. I would highly recommend the Horse shoe in Thurlsby. Thank you for your service and gorgeous food.compliment's to the chef. And would go back there again .��

My wife and I had dinner at the Horseshoe last night, starter and main course. Food was beautifully cooked and delivered piping hot to our table. The chef was happy to accommodate my off menu main course request. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, many thanks.

Mothers day made special by a professional but friendly and accommodating team, on a very busy day things were still calm and smooth, nothing was too much trouble and the food was to die for, it was well prepared and presented, had to do three courses but was well full afterwards. Oh and the beer is good too.

Lovely food. Good portions & great wine. Cannot fault the meal or the service. Would definitely recommend.

They do a great sunday lunch too but its very popular so make sure you book

The food and service were spot when we visited for Saturday lunch. Two of our group had soup and a sandwich and two of us had a salad main course. All the meals where well presented, tasty and plentiful. I've only dropped 1* because we all thought the bar prices where on the steep side.

The Horseshoe pub catered for a lunch today and the meal was excellent. Thank you to the staff who worked so hard and did a fabulous job. Good food not to be missed.

Meal lovely a little greasy had garlic mushroom and lasagne .service good meal hot .

Just got back from a lovely 2 course meal. My husband had steak and I had the chicken! Both meals were fabulous and I have to commend you on the portions! Very nice!

The fudge cakes were delish and service was brill! Thankyou very much :)

It was my friends 25th birthday meal and we were a table of 6. Staff were lovely but service was very slow (the restaurant wasn’t busy), especially towards the end of the meal and we had to ask to be served for our meals as we were waiting for so long. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef, vegetables and roast potatoes. I can only assume the potatoes on the table were for myself as well (my friends had roast dinners) as my dinner didn’t have any potatoes in. I wasn’t told about this but if I’m honest I didn’t notice until I was nearly finished! 😂 I can’t complain though as the food was lovely and it was piping hot! It was my first time here and I would return again.

I came for the 1st time Sunday 20th august and there was 18 in our party. The food was lovely and piping hot when it arrived. We had lovely service from the staff and have booked to come again on 10th December ❤️❤️

Enjoyed a lovely meal. Service was great. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the chips but overall no complaints

Been to this pub many many times for dinners,never had a bad one yet,today we all had roast lamb(4),absolutely Devine,very busy but we didn’t have long to wait,but hey whatever we are quite happy sitting supping a glass whilst chatting ,three of us had Jamaican sundae,again superb,well done ,again The Shoe,we will be back again soon,fully recommend,x

The only reason we were still there after two hours was that the service was fairly slow. There were many young children in or party and we certainly weren't hanging around out of choice. We didn't mind though as they were clearly very busy. It was Mother's Day.
