What a lovely spot right on the River Lea. Good food, nice guest ales. Sat in the beer garden for a bite to eat. Service was very good. Highly recommend 😜🚉

Went there for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday with one of my besties..... I had chilli burger and chips and it was lovely. Chips were lovely, didn't taste like oven chips as some pubs chips do. Burger was massive and the coleslaw was homemade with big chunks of cabbage etc., best pub lunch I've had in ages!!!

I go there with my mum most times as she lives in hunsdon .I come from basildon and when I come over to take her out to lunch we come to you. Firstly the service is so friendly and helpful . Sorry can't remember her name but we see her in there all the time . She defo works Fridays as we go then . Nothing is never too much trouble for her . We noticed the menu has been updated but still could find something we liked . To be honest preferred old one but this one is ok . I fully recommend to go there

Good food and great service! Kim was just fantastic and catered for all our needs. Definitely will come back again! Prawn cocktails were awesome as starters and main courses were just to die for. Loved the scampi n the steak was cooked to perfection.

Brilliant place to go! Always made to feel welcome and staff are not only friendly but offer a superb service! Great food and atmosphere! Perfect place!

Wonderful place to have a drink, friendly staff and prompt service. Having a beer outside and enjoy the river views just feels right. Great place to enjoy with friends or family.

Went for lunch with my daughter,when we sat down had second thoughts as realised it was a McMullen menu(had a bad experience locally,won't say where) but we stayed and I said it all depends on the chef,well food was lovely, staff were very friendly too would def go hear again

We are regulars and go to the Jolly about twice a week. The staff are very friendly and polite. We enjoy the quiz night which is every Thursday and is always packed out on that night. The menu has lots of choices and I particularly enjoy the fish. There is a down side though, recently the food seems to be over cooked but I believe they have a new chef. I would definitely recommend it and the Riverside views are perfect for a lunch time meal.

The cheese and bacon burger was very nice and tasty - fish and chips was nice but would be good to have option of larger portion. Hand cut chips would improve both dishes though as frozen ones not for me

Go there quite often and staff always friendly and helpful. Food good, reasonable prices and when weather nice, can sit out by river. What more can you ask for. A lovely place to visit.
