IMMEDIATE START We currently have a lead position available as supervisor to work variable shifts. As a supervisor you will take the lead in looking after the restaurant and bar on mainly evening shifts. Shifts will be covering our restaurant and bar service as well as weddings and functions- own transport would suit. Due to licensing law, applicants to be 18 and above. Previous bar and waitress experience is essential.
Overview; To serve customers within the restaurant and bar functions and events, ensuring that an excellent service is provided consistently, meeting and exceeding customer expectations whenever possible. To possess the ability to multi-task, ensuring that instructions and tasks are completed to time and to the recognised standard. The ability to work independently taking responsibility for operations assigned to. Also, to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment. Customer focused with excellent communication skills and personality. Key Responsibilities; Ensuring all cash, charges, float and till procedures are adhered to and kept to in accordance of company policy and procedures. To develop and understand till systems end of day procedures. To constantly work within Health and Safety guidance and law. A previous experience from a hotel, restaurant, bar or pub desirable however full training will be provided. Must possess commitment and flexibility. We are looking for a dynamic individual to support the Head Chef in the day to day running of The Legstraps country pub in rural Bedfordshire.
The Legstraps is an independently owned pub and restaurant that focusses on freshly prepared and seasonal food using local suppliers where possible. The successful candidate would be hard working, have a passion for food, good customer skills, work well in a team but also able to motivate themselves when on their own. The Legstraps ha...s built itself from just a local pub to having a reputation for quality service and food. The successful candidate would want to help us build on this reputation further.
Duties (amongst others) would include:
• Menu and dish development • Training the junior kitchen staff with the aim of progressing their knowledge, skills and careers • Maintain a high standard of health and safety and kitchen hygiene • Maintain consistency in cooking of dishes so customers always receive the same quality on multiple visits • Be able to pace orders and rotate stock in good fashion to achieve required GP’s set but the owners • Lead the kitchen in the head chefs absence • Develop a good working relationship with the general manager and other FOH staff. The Legstraps is a small business and the team works like a family.
The candidate would have at least three years experience as a CDP or one year as sous chef.
Hours are as required but would run around 45-50 per week with the opportunity of evenings off and weekends off on a rotation basis.
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
