we had alot of fun yesterday with 40 young people putting together not 1, but 4 new plays all in a day! Thank you to our amazing team of playwrights, directors, assistants and chaperones for all their hard work in the relentless heat, and thank you to the fabulous young people who did an awesome job!

Wow!! What a fab backdrop to this friendly amphitheatre .... we enjoyed the delicious Cornish Scones with Tea, local cream & jam enjoying the fab view from the cafe at the top!! Kids loved the interactive story-telling.. even I was in stitches at times... we even picked up the gorgeous plants priced at £8 & a souvenir from the shop!! Highly recommended.. book early to avoid disappointment!! Enjoy :D

What an outstanding day! Even with the rain we experienced at the start of the performance it didn't dampen our day. We watched the children's Story telling and Craig was brilliant (even with an annoying little heckler!) All our children 6 months to 6 years were thoroughly entertained. Then we stayed for the Actors workshop with my 6 year old thought was amazing. All for an incredible price of £27 for 5 adults and 4 children. An absolute must of a visit, thank you so much!!!

User

What a stunning place! We had lovely (unexpected) sunny weather and the views and atmosphere were fantastic. Very friendly staff- one of the lighting engineers overheard me and my 2 boys discussing what seabirds we could see and went and got someone else to help us identify them! Wish we could have seen a play.

User

Went to see the fantastic production ‘The Railway Children’ today. Fabulous, thank you all. Also a huge thank you to the staff who helped my severely sight impaired husband and guide dog. We were

Greeted and we/he was assisted to our seats. The same when we left after the show. He has to leave us though as a lady fell on the way out & hope she is ok. Thank you Minack Staff, we felt welcome, not a hinderance to you having someone who is classed as disabled. Quasia even got a fresh bowl

Of water with free top ups. Our girls loved the show too. Thank you A service.

User

Well worth the visit. We parked in the car park down by the beach and walked up the cliff path to Minack Theatre (Not for the faint hearted) but it gives you an idea of Rowena Cade amazing determination and effort of making this theatre, then definitely watch the film in the Exhibition centre within the grounds, which is only around 10 mins, but well worth it so you'll see the theatre in totally amazed eyes.

User

We watched the Pirates of Penzance while the sun set over the ocean. It doesn't get better than that!

User

Waited 1 year to come visit worth waiting even with strong winds and raining this place it's magical, just breath taking, we will definitely return summer time again

User

Totally amazing place - great team of people, awesome location. Cannot wait to return for Proms at the Minack this September.

User

This venue is the best. Our time there was most hospitable. What a unique place.

User

My favourite theatre. When I was a student, I watched the Scottish play in the dark, with rain lashing sideways and lightning flashing across the sky behind the actors! Superb! Love the way you encourage young theatre groups.

User

Incredible location, great plays, lovely staff. A must for any visit to Cornwall!

User

If you haven’t been here then Go.....Beautiful outside Theatre with a view to die for, well worth a visit could sit here all day just watching the turquoise sea splashing up against the cliffs and the white Sandy beaches!

User

If you ever get the chance to visit the Minack Theatre you really must go. Be prepared for the weather as that is in the hands of the gods. The acoustics and backdrop to watch a show are truest breathtaking.

User

If I was being mean I would give a lower score simply because the weather was not our friend when we visited on 30th May and we got rather wet/soaked, but that is by no means the fault of the place itself. Even in the wet it was still great. We saw the last droll teller, the kids loved it. Staff were really friendly too. If only it had been a dry day then we could be stayed longer and really had a good look around, guess we will have to save that plan for our next visit!

User

Came down from Bodmin last night to watch Doctor Dolittle with my 4 year old daughter and we had the very best time. Reasonably priced tickets and a 5* show. The cast put there heart and soul into it and were absolutely brilliant. Both my daughter and I had a wonderful evening. Thank you

User

An incredible magical place. One of my fondest memories was here. A bucket list experience to be had by all.

User

An amazing location to create a unique setting and backdrop for any performance. Lovely and helpful staff. Very good quality performances over the years.

User

Utterly beautiful setting and very unique. We went to watch ,Alfred Hitchcock, Jamaica Inn film. Really enjoyed it, the moon was clear and you could see the waves in the background providing an amazing backdrop . The only downside was we were told to go to our seats and then we would be able to go and have a look at the interacted displays ,but unfortunately we were packed in tightly and didn't like to disturb the people around us so we didn't and didn't get a drink either but we will know better next time.

User

I have been visiting the Minnack Theatre for 50 years and love it. However we came away today feeling disappointed. We went to see The Railway Children and and acoustics were terrible. We sat very near the front on the right hand side where the music was. Most of the dialogue was on the left hand side of the stage and it was impossible to hear. Also when the children held up the banner for the train to see (a major part of the story!) we couldn't read it as it was on the left hand side. Always a beautiful setting and we had two lots of dolphins to complete the backdrop.
