The New Broom, Pub And Restaurant, Checkley

1st & 2 nd December Santa and his elves are coming to the new broom bringing with them a fabulous Christmas market full of local suppliers with handmade gifts. With a fully stocked gin bar, an exciting new menu and Santa’s grotto. It’s fun for all the family. All tables booked before the date all children will receive a free visit to Santa and gift 🎁

It’s Back the Midweek Carvery Tuesday to Friday 12pm till 2.30 all starts Tuesday 30th Oct

I am so thrilled to announce the head lining bands for Checkley Krysalisfest......... Alternova on the Saturday!! 😁 🤘 & Hyperjax on the Sunday!! 😎 👍 Almost got the slots for both days filled now, then I'll announce the list of artists that will be playing!! 🎶

So excited for Delivery day 😁 a new gin for our ever growing selection can’t wait to try this one with a fever tree tonic

Wednesday nights from 5pm curry and a pint what an offer

Where do I start? I was in a group of 36 people who were camping at The New Broom over the Early May Bank Holiday. Ed the landlord was extremely accomodating and could not do enough to help us. The team of young ladies are an asset to Ed, they were friendly, had charactor and worked on their own initiative. Nothing was too much trouble.

We all enjoyed our food... perhaps a little too much according to my bathroom scales!

We have already booked to return as a group in September.

We were initially going to camp for 2 nights like we did a previous week. With us being local we got home and decided that myself, my 2 children and the dog thoroughly enjoyed ourselves so much we returned the Thursday afternoon for another 2 nights! Pub itself is beautiful, Ed is a wonderful host (you're welcome!), Lovely staff and amazing atmosphere! Would recommend anyone thinking of camping try the new broom as it's the best camping trip we have had so far! Xxx

We called in on the off chance for a drink one evening in May....we knew it had been taken over & thought we’d check it out..Ed went out of his way to serve us & tell us what was happening with events etc....we came away having booked the function room for our daughters’ 16th birthday party �

Ed and the team were fantastic hosts last night for the traditional end of season Uttoxeter Juniors Awards Night.

4 age groups were present, meaning well over 100 people had a fantastic evening !

The food and disco were great and nothing was too much trouble for Ed and his team - Ed was an excellent host for the evening.
