The Old Post office Geldeston is situated in the picturesque Waveney valley on the Suffolk Norfolk borders. Built around 1820, it formed part of the Dowson brewery and was home to the Master Brewer. When the brewery closed in 1858 it became a small village shop and later the sub Post office, until its closure in 2005.
Across the road you will find the River Waveney with riverside walks, idyllic course fishing and bird watching. Rowan Craft boatyard have canoe and electric day boat hire, enabling you to enjoy the quiet and natural beauty of the Broads. If you have your own craft there are two slipways to gain access to the river.
