It's been nearly two weeks since The Rising Sun Coltishall reopened and just over a week since we launched our menu, and we've been overwhelmed with the response! Thank you so much to everyone who has visited the pub for a drink or meal ŌĆō and an extra big thanks to those who have left us a review on Facebook or TripAdvisor!

The only thing I can fault this pub on is its prices, which I think are a little on the expensive side. Other than that it is a smashing village pub with beautiful views next to the river. I will definitely be coming here again.

User

The food in here is excellent, we couldnŌĆÖt eat it all as there was so much . Excellent service, polite helpful staff . Thank you for a great evening we all enjoyed every part of our evening.

User

Now under new management and what an improvement.. extremely clean.. well presented, polite and helpful staff.. beautiful scenery.. food not cheap but u definitely get your moneys worth, was delicious.. look forwards to my next visit

User

How fabulous that this pub is now in the hands of new management. It has the most perfect setting right on the river.

I visited with my daughters on Easter Sunday for dinner and a few drinks. Initially, I was impressed by the new decor and furniture and then the friendly welcoming staff front of house and behind the bar.

We all had starters and fillet steaks which were cooked to perfection followed by delicious desserts. Ordering and service were fast and accurate and we had a lovely evening looked after by an attentive and friendly staff.

The pub has actually only been open a couple of weeks and the turnaround from sitting empty to thriving has been truly impressive.

I look forward to spending much more time at The Rising Sun with my family and friends.

Had a fantastic meal with my husband, son and his fiance during our week's holiday sailing on the Broads last week, lovely food and friendly staff ’┐Į

User

Good Friday meal here with family and friends, and we had an excellent meal with brilliant service. Good luck to all involved with the Rising Sun.

User

Four diners last Saturday (21.4.18) - 5+ stars. The pub was quiet - maybe the lunchtime rush was over (1.30 pm), but the staff were friendly, attentive and the food came quickly. And it was delicious. Give it another try, Andy Burr.

User

Fabulous meal, great service and lovely welcoming, friendly staff. Thank you for making it a pleasure to visit.

User

sat by the river x ordered some food x service was brilliant and food was very tasty x and the sun was out x briliant

Visited The Rising Sun on Norfolk Day.....most appropriate.

It was a scorching hot day however we chose to sit outside under an umbrella.

I had the Chicken Caeser. The chicken was plentiful and tasty as was the Caeser dressing. Not a bad price.

My partner had the West Rarebit which included some crab. He enjoyed his meal.

Great to watch the world go by on the river.

Great location. Good stop off point.

There is a car park and this would be very busy/full on sunny days in particular.

User

The atmosphere and the service was excellent, and in the main, the food was excellent (the scampi, and the beer battered cod was perfect) sadly though, the jacket potato had by one of the ladies in our group, was very burnt and dry, and the cheese was so minimal on it that it could barely be seen. The lady, bless her, refused to complain and made the best of it, but I would never have served it to anyone

User

Lovely setting, on the river, but service very very slow.. It took over an hour after midday to cook 1 slice of cheese on toast!!!!

User

Shockingly bad at the rising sun. I have just been served freezing food. As we were in a rush and had waited so long for it we ate it anyway. I informed the manager just so she knew her staff were sending the food out in such a state and asked if we had paid. She went and checked (as my sister ordered I wasn't sure) once she realised we had already paid there was no offer of any money back. Not even a drink! She then offered discount next time we come in! Not a mention of how much or anything. Then as I was eating the cold food found a hair. A HAIR. Informed the staff and nothing. For the money they charge for the food you expect it to be at a minimum hot and clean. Not here.
