dog freindly pub in the old bar sat outside np nice range beers
What a lovely place - great views, fantastic food and good value for money
Went as a party of 10. Staff are so friendly, couple of mistakes with the food order but it was sorted out straight away and the staff are so lovely. Would recommend.
We went to The Royalty for lunch on Sunday. It's a cosy pub with friendly staff, great food and nice views. The bar menu is good value for lunch and it's doggy friendly in there too.
Always enjoy it there and will be back soon
This is truly a unique public house a little bit off the beaten track here on Otley chevin. Absolutely amazing vista magnificent beer gardens where you can watch the planes coming into land .The bar itself as a restaurant to one side and a public bar woof woofs allowed with doggy treats on the house .Good selection of beers wines and spirits plenty of free parking some .Next time I visit I will sampling the food menu which looked very appetizing and reasonably priced.
The food was great, some of our table of ten saying it was the best food they had eaten. Me included, the salmon was the best I had eaten! Friendly, hospitable service and a good atmosphere.
Our kind of pub! lovely staff, lovely food and amazing location. oh and very dog friendly. Rocky loved the attention.
Not first time we have been to Royalty a fantastic meal and drinks good service happy days !
My boyfriend and I have come away to Otley for a relaxing getaway at the Chevin and he wanted to book a table at a nice near by restaurant for our evening meal. He came across the Royalty and booked us in for 7pm. We arrived to find the views over the city skyline breath taking! The restaurant was warm, cozy and inviting. We ordered our food which came quickly but was on very level amazing! Their venison was tender and mouth watering. The mixed grill was enormous, extremely fresh and perfectly cooked. Our pudding was clearly homemade and the best weβve had in a long time!
Such a shame the Pub is off the beaten track though people passed more they would defiantly be drawn in. We are contemplating a 2 hour journey just for a meal! Defiantly highly recommend and weβll be back as soon as we can!
Thank you! X
Just experienced The Royalty....the table hands / waiters are extremely professional and polite..whilst dining I witnessed one of the waiters taking extreme care in preparing a table for new guests, just a simple thing like the care he took placing the cutlery into position was enough for me to see a review was needed. Thank you for the lovely well prepared meals and your polite atmosphere. Generously priced table service. Stunning outdoor views. A place worth trying. Happy customer here.
Had a lovely time at the royalty with my gf yesterday never been to it would recommend going again
Fantastic scenery on such a lovely day. Staff we spot on, pub felt very homely when I went in to order food and get drinks. Food was lovely..homemade chips fantastic! Could have done with the offer of condiments with meal as we were sat outside and didnt want to go back in to get some as food would have been cold. (I forgot to ask when waitress brought food). Fantastic place though would definitely recommend and go again !
Fantastic place love going to see the planes βοΈ and have good food with the wife and friends
Called in for a late birthday lunch for my dad with our dog. Thankfully the bar area is dog friendly. We had the chilli prawns garlic bread followed by posh cottage pie, mixed grill, scampi and the burger. The portions were plentiful and really tasty. And the view is fantastic!! Lovely pub food and great service by friendly staff will definately return again thank you x
Brilliant view from the restaurant. Interesting and unusual menu and very tasty. Really friendly and helpful staff too and very reasonable prices.
very good Sunday lunch, good quality food very well cooked, nice attentive staff and sensible prices for food and on the wine list. try it, you will like it!!!
We visited for an evening meal after a family funeral yesterday and our large group of around 16 were catered for very well. Excellent Guinness
Visited mid-week for lunch with my husband and in-laws. Despite being first there, our starters took ages to arrive and were disappointing for the price. Pigs in blankets were 3 cocktail sausages barely covered in bacon with pea shoots as a dressing and a large ramekin of cranberry dip (cost approx Β£6!!!). I'm no chef but I could've dressed that plate better with my eyes shut. No butter served with rolls on other starters. Very disappointing! The main course was better but not by much. Game pie was nice but was let don't with very dark, over cooked, unappealing chips and dried out frozen peas that had been left under the pass for far too long. Cheese and vegetable pie and mash was nice, no separate vegetable and gravy that was far too watery making the mash inedible! I had a baked potato with cheese and homemade coleslaw. This was lovely. My only fault was there were HUGE chunks of cabbage in the coleslaw which were inedible. So all in all not a fantastic meal. Conservatory was really cold as well. We probably will go elsewhere in future as it was pricey, food doesn't look anything like the photo's on the website, service staff were all in jeans and tee-shirts etc and didn't appear to be very enthusiastic about being there. Restaurant was very quiet. 4 tables taken in the one and a half hours we were there and comments could be heard about how cold it was in the restaurant. All in all quite disappointing.
Appalling service. Took almost an hour for our found to arrive not to mention that our table we booked was fifteen minutes late, and the waitress was rude when we enquired about this. The food when it came, was mostly burnt. Burger, onion rings and bacon. Even the filling for the steak pie! What passed for chips was terrible. Will not return.
