Was in here yesterday to watch Adam Thomas. The first time I've been in the salutation for about 3 years.. The refurb looked really good, and it was a very friendly, welcoming place with friendly bar staff.

Spent Christmas day here for dinner with the friendly helpful staff.

I couldn't fault the 3 course meal at all, well done guys and girls.

Popped in for a drink today. It's the first time I have set foot in the venue for over a year and it's had a remarkable improvement.

Nice friendly Landlord in John. Nice bar staff and lovely delicious food I was with my best Friend and we both had veggie and I had a Roast. the gravy was delicious. I really enjoyed it and so did my Friend.. The service was good and the food came quickly AND it was all fresh too. Yummy. then there was Karaoke which was with Marie and it was a good night from him and it was a good night from me!!

we will go again without doubt. If you HAVEN'T been to this cosy little town pub. You're missing out OK??

Lovely staff piping hot food generous portions and well presented beer was top notch too keen prices 4 food and drinks less than £55 😀

Lovely friendly pub, great food, I do love the giant Yorkshire with sausages, always get lots of onion gravy with it. Been eating in there for years, never had a bad meal. Great for the regent as well, good well kept beer also.

Looks amazing after the refit. Nice food and friendly staff.

I've become something of a regular here in the last week as it's my local. I have to say that it's a cracking pub with good beer (Estrella on draught). The staff are very friendly and approachable, which makes all the difference. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a good pub.

I now manage the pub all are welcome new menu out and the Christmas menu is out so call in and book

I love this pub. Been coming here for many years and always a friendly, warm reception from great staff. Had a lovely 3 course dinner on Christmas Day, there were 12 of us, and it was fresh, delicious and very good value for money. Keep up the good work guys

Great place lovely referb nice price 4 beer. Nice friendly staff. Defo be back 4 a beer and a meal !!!

Great hosts, grade II listed, well looked after, Cask Mark, great pub & building with historic interest. John Sherman is one of the best landlord you'll come across. Thanks for hosting us today with lots of Memories about Ipswich and it's history, John. My 2 international Tourists enjoyed the experience across town like never before.

You won't get happier more welcoming staff, good service a little quiet to start, bit got busier nearer show time at the regent, the only problem with the pub that I could see was it needs money spent on it, a good refurbishment and it would be even better.

Had lunch here , it was fine, nice pub, just right on a very cold day

Great Atmosphere. Friendly Staff. And good simple food well cooked. Will certainly return.

will be a while before we visit again outside tables were dirty my arm got stuck to the table had to wash the stickiness off my arm in the toilet sink and my bag when i lifted off the floor was stuck :( floors inside and out needs a good hover how long since the dog water bowl was changed all bits in it and toilets need a clean all over and round we have eaten here in the past food is not too bad staff are friendly and polite
