The Saracen'S Plate Description
The Saracen's Plate is a new cafe and community venue. We make eating healthy food easy. We create highly nutritious, delicious and family-friendly meals using ethically and sustainably sourced ingredients. The Saracen’s Plate is designed to save time for busy families who care about eating well - but we also serve milkshakes and chips every day too!
Conveniently located in Penryn with plenty of parking, we are an accessible venue in more ways than one:
- We are open when you need it most and serve a wide variety of food that will satisfy and delight the whole family – vegetarians, vegans and meat lovers alike!
- You can taste our food before you buy, suggest dishes you would like us to make and choose portion sizes to suit your appetite.
- Everyone will get a warm welcome at the Saracen’s Plate and our staff will help you feel at home.
- With beautiful green playing fields right outside, games, wifi, sofas and good tea & coffee, we aim to serve the whole community.
- We will happily host your meetings, events and tea & coffee mornings.
- We are a safe place for children to run free outside, whilst you relax with food and drink you can feel good about.
And finally – we are not just a place to eat and relax…. . With a bar and a dancefloor we are also a great place for you to have a party!
You'll find us on the ground floor at Penryn Rugby Club, Memorial Gardens, Kernick Road, Penryn, TR10 8NT.

It is with great sadness that I have to announce the closure of The Saracen's Plate. Our last day of trading will be today.
New tenants will be taking over the space from March 20th
We have a lot of stock in the kitchen - fresh and frozen - that I don't want to go to waste so come along over the next few days to buy discounted goods.

Wonderful food with plenty of healthy choices … (hidden veg in the pizza - shsshhhh - don't tell!) super family friendly with a great atmosphere - cant wait to get back there.
We love this cafe, it's a lovely light and bright space, great food that is affordable, great staff, lots of toys for the little ones and free parking right outside. Perfect! It's about the only cafe in the area where I feel I can properly relax with two toddlers in tow. Highly recommend!
We had a fab Sunday roast here today. It was really relaxed - despite having 6 aged 5 and unders between us as it’s brilliantly child friendly. Great food that’s priced reasonably. The only slight negative would be that the adult portion size could have been a bit more generous. Can’t wait to come again to try the regular menu. Really pleased to have you local to us!

Just visited for the first time.... It's really lovely. Impressed with the choice for vegetarians and vegans. We had the vegan chilli and the vegan dahl - both were delicious, and very generous portions. Lovely, relaxed place, full of very friendly people. Will definitely become a regular place for us.
I only discovered this place last week after a whole load of people recommended it. And it's a real gem! Lovely, friendly atmosphere, gorgeous, proper food at very reasonable prices and the crew just make you feel so welcome!

I love the atmosphere in here, it's totally chilled and the staff are very friendly. I can highly recommend the dahl and the carrot cake is divine! My son reckons the vegan chocolate cake is heavenly and he's also convinced himself that it's healthy!
Currently the best cafe in Cornwall. No where else close at the moment when you bring together the ambience, values, quality of food, kindness of staff and the fact that my kids adore being there...I could go very poor of I lived nearer.
Came for Sunday Lunch- all three of us had something different, all three of us were delighted. Fantastic food and beautifully presented too. very friendly and prompt service and even a great selection of gorgeous locally brewed beers on offer. Sincerely wish I lived nearer and can't wait to return.
