The 'Nancy' will be joined by lots of other boats in a colourful Parade of Sail from Pin Mill and back. Should get to Shotley at approx 1pm. ⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️

When someone does something properly it shows. Converted to a high standard and furnished similarly it's obvious no expense has been spared. From the designer shampoos to the acres of fluffy towels to the comfortable bed with crisp white linen the room is sumptuous.

Nice welcome from the staff too and top notch beer and food. This is a place we'll definitely visit again.

5 stars and recommended!

We love visiting the Shipwreck with our 2 year old. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and it's so child friendly, our boy runs around the back area and loves it, they have some books and little toys which is great and the food is always lovely, i can recommend the hot chocolate with marshmallows!!

User

Very friendly staff good home cooked fresh food

This is a regular for us and the standard has remained the same each time we have been.

Parking is easy and always nice to walk off the food along the sea wall or sit and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Felixstowe Port Harwich and the sea in general. You can also go across the little loch gate to walk around the marina there is also a little sandy beach along there as well. Great location

User

Smashing pub in a great location. Good stick of beer and delicious food ! Could not ask for more :)

User

Really enjoy our visits here

Nice food and views from the outside eating area

User

Nice staff, nice place, nice scenery

Didn’t have any food so can’t comment

User

Great place to eat and drink and the staff are very friendly and professional and the service is great as well.

User

Good food and drinks friendly staff and great views over the water to Harwich and Felixstowe docks

User

Excellent pub/restaurant/b&b in an excellent location with excellent hosts well worth a visit or a stay

User

We enjoyed a relaxing lunch yesterday while watching the world go by. Been several times & never had any complaints.

User

Lovely place to sit have a drink and watch the boats go by, I had a hot chocolate but it was too thick for me I couldn't drink it, hubby said the tea was good, lovely place to have a wander, great little museum about the Ganges boat, for people that knew people on board it would be marvellous, so many pictures of men in uniform, medals and history all about it, free entry only a donation on the way out if you want,

User

Enjoyable stay good room staff friendly Good beer good pub grab very good cooked breakfast

User

Came down to watch the Pin Mill Barge Race on 01/07/17.( We used to come regularly as had a boat moored at Shotley but not been for 4 years) Great views, has water bowls for dogs which is great. Food was hot, nice and portions decent although I thought over-priced. Staff could be a little more friendly and bar better staffed as was very busy and only had ONE person taking orders and pouring drinks at 13:00 who, bless her, coped very well. Interior and outdoor seating is clean but the umbrellas are not allowed to be opened - understandable if it's windy but on a calm day...big No No from the Staff!!! Gone downhill in my view but still a pleasant place.

User

The ship used to be a pub where the locals used to go on a regular basis, that was about 18 years ago. Now, it only seems to cater for people from out of the area. £7.50 for a Beer and a coke. I used to live in Shotley, and only been back on two occasions

User

Service was good, friendly and efficient. Food was decent although a tad overpriced. I’m not sure if you’re a pub or not but it had the feel of a social club to me and trust me I’ve been in a few. Overall not bad.

User

Had fish and chips.... food nice and hot and tasty but for fish and chips x2 half a shandy and a pint it was £30.00 far 2 expensive for what it is

User

Arrived at the bar at 2-05 to order food ..was told food had stopped..why promote food times 12-2-30 very disappointed. Have to say though I love this pub and the view and surroundings are what makes this place a must visit on a beautiful sunny day.

User

I love going to the marina with my wife and children so I thought I would treat the wife out for some us time and treated her to lunch here, we were the first to order our meals nothing too extravagant I had a Brie ploughmans and ordered the extra ham of which I paid £2.25 extra and received one small slice 😳, my wife had the warm grilled chicken salad which was ok but dry, we also ordered the cheesy chips to share of which we paid £3.75 and received around 18 chips and the cheese was microwaved to the point that the cheese stuck all of the cheese and chips together in one big lump which was not pleasant, but we also waited 30 minutes for our food to come out which also was a bit much for a simple pub lunch, and paid nearly £35 for this experience (one drink each only too) will make sure we have lunch elsewhere next time and then go for a walk around the fab surrounding area

User

Ive been bringing my students and guests here for years, supporting this pub with drinks, snacks and meal orders as well as B&B bookings and the owner has NEVER supported us (our business in any way). Frankly, I've had enough of his negative 'can't do' attitude. I requested a small discount for our groups or just a token to recognise the number of people we bring in to their establishement - NO! I asked for a discount on B&B bookings for our groups - NO! My guests and I were chased off the premises having bought 6 coffees and asked for a food order, simply because two of our guests had their own sandwiches. I understand and accept the general rule of only consuming food purchased on the premises. BUT we are sea kayakers who have to carry our own food and provisisions. We always by plentiful food and drinks anyway as someone will always buy meal/s, hot and cold drinks. What a fool, we'll now sit outside directly in front of the pub and consume our own food and drinks, hot and cold. He'll lose our custom, our online support through our website and four social media accounts and instead only recieve bad publicity. WHY are british businesses SO short sighted. On another note, the food is mediocre but the location is wonderful. The manager needs to go and do something else.
