By the way, this weekend Sheringham becomes the centre of everything 1940's. It's the biggest event in Sheringham's calendar, the clock is turned back to the 1940's. A huge effort is made by all the businesses, visitors and residents to create an authentic experience. Why not come along to Sheringham for a day to remember. It's on from Fri 14th Sept - Sun 16th so there is plenty of opportunity!
It will be busy, so if you can't find a seat, you can always buy one of our picn...ic meals to enjoy while you mingle.
Each box contains Your choice of our homemade Sausage Roll, Quiche or Pasty. A packet of crisps Soft Drink and your choice of sweet bakery or fruit.

Until recently I'm sure many of you thought that the innocent paper takeaway cup WAS recyclable. We now know that 99% of the billions we consume in the UK can't be recycled. That's really not good enough. So we have made a conscious effort to make changes where possible to reduce our overall impact through the ...introduction of these cups and switching to non-plastic alternatives for single-use products such as straws and cutlery.
So, whether it's our fat-free, dairy free (Soy, Almond or Coconut milk) or even our regular hot drink, you can enjoy it 100% guilt free knowing that the single-use cup you are drinking from can be recycled along with the newspaper.

We have Harry and Megan's wedding cake here in Sheringham for you to try.
Alright, it's not their actual wedding cake, but it's very very similar. Come and try our new taste of the summer cake, lemon and elderflower. A triple decker of lemon infused sponge with an elderflower butter icing and a sprinkle summer magic. Its a limited edition, so make sure you don't miss out.

That Friday Feeling -

Normal service at the number 1 cafe in Sheringham almost resumed. I say almost as we don’t have all our usual choices for food due to supply issues, but we are open today 😁

Well we managed to make it into Sheringham yesterday and provided a haven and warm welcome to many who braved the artic conditions. However, despite our best efforts this morning we have been unable to get in to open up as the high winds overnight have created (some rather beautiful, but impassable) snow drifts in some exposed parts of the route that have in essence cut us off from the outside world. We even tried via Norwich, but that road is also blocked!
Sorry about letting you down folks!
Hopefully normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

Despite the snow, wind and freezing temperatures we are open today for hot warning soup and comfort food such as our homemade macaroni cheese with cheddar, blue cheese or chorizo.

We visited Sheringham for a couple of days this week and called in to The Sitting Room which had been highly recommended. We now know why - the place is amazing! The owners were so welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing with very generous serving of both savoury and sweet!!

We there yesterday for the first time for coffee, lovely atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Will definitely be returning and would recommend

We met a friend who lives locally and had suggested it to us as a great place to catch up over a glass of wine and some nibbles. The service was warm and friendly and the wine and cheese and meat grazing platters were delicious. A great place with a relaxed atmosphere. We will be returning to Sheringham and the Sitting Room again very soon, spot on! �

We absolutely love The Sitting Room. Had the best toasted sandwich with salad. And the olive oil and balsamic vinegar salad dressing bottle is so good I had to buy one (well two actually). ☺️

This has become our favourite place to go for coffee, the mocha is divine. Fabulous cakes, salads and I adore the cheese and chorizo toastie. Owners are wonderful, atmosphere a joy, thank you for the warm welcome for the scruffy tree surgeon and his side kick �

The best decaf soya vanilla latté I have ever had and believe me, there have been a few! I will be making it my regular haunt when visiting the in-laws in Sheringham. Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff... can't recommend highly enough.

Quite simply the best hot chocolate we've ever had! Wish we lived closer - 4 hours is too far to be regulars of this delightful coffee house..........but it would be worth it!

We visited Sheringham for a couple of days this week and called in to The Sitting Room which had been highly recommended. We now know why - the place is amazing! The owners were so welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing with very generous serving of both savoury and sweet!!

We met a friend who lives locally and had suggested it to us as a great place to catch up over a glass of wine and some nibbles. The service was warm and friendly and the wine and cheese and meat grazing platters were delicious. A great place with a relaxed atmosphere. We will be returning to Sheringham and the Sitting Room again very soon, spot on! �

We absolutely love The Sitting Room. Had the best toasted sandwich with salad. And the olive oil and balsamic vinegar salad dressing bottle is so good I had to buy one (well two actually). ☺️

This has become our favourite place to go for coffee, the mocha is divine. Fabulous cakes, salads and I adore the cheese and chorizo toastie. Owners are wonderful, atmosphere a joy, thank you for the warm welcome for the scruffy tree surgeon and his side kick �

The best decaf soya vanilla latté I have ever had and believe me, there have been a few! I will be making it my regular haunt when visiting the in-laws in Sheringham. Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff... can't recommend highly enough.

Quite simply the best hot chocolate we've ever had! Wish we lived closer - 4 hours is too far to be regulars of this delightful coffee house..........but it would be worth it!

Paul & Christian hosted a wonderful hen party for my sister last weekend prosecco flowed the food was fabulous and hosts were incredible we all loved every single second!!! Thanks guys see you in the summer xx

One of the best cafe I have found in North Norfolk

Not just a great place for snacks and drinks but also for making new friends. We often share our table with people we don't know and leave having made new friends. It has the best atmosphere of any tea/coffee shop we have ever been to.

Live in sheringham and only went here for the first time today. It's lovely in every way! Only had coffee and my hubby an almond croissant but they were both really good. Have some friends visiting tomorrow and will be taking them there. Think I've found my new favorite local cafe/coffee shop ��

I visited today with my cousin Vicky we loved it. The chicken, ham & leek quiche with salad & homemade coleslaw was delicious. It would have been rude not to have one of the scrumptious cakes, I chose salted caramel mille feuille & Vicky had a chocolate caramel cheesecake. We couldn't resist some macaroons to take home with us, lemon, coffee, pistachio & they were to die for! As you might have expected, they didn't make it home!! Super friendly staff & a warm welcoming atmosphere, highly recommended. Thank you

Great coffee. Fantastic cake. Friendly as well. Met friends in Sheringham for the day. Had morning coffee at The Sitting Room. Walked around a bit then returned for coffee and cake in the afternoon. Worth a side trip just to visit.

Great atmosphere and staff. We have being a couple of times and the quality of the drinks and the food it is outstanding. I was so nicely surprised to see how one of the owners talked and served my little one with so much kindness and care, just like he was another member of our family. Thank you for such a lovely time, we will certainly come back many times.

Coffee, and for one, salted caramel millefeuille. Both great.
