We arrived and it was very busy, staff made us aware of what to do and pointed out all the food. Food was lovely and great value for money

Was a long wait for our starter, this is the first time we had to wait for so long 45min

This is a really superb little treasure. When we first arrived, we had to wait a little while for staff to greet us but it was really worth the wait. It was a really lovely lunch. Amazing food. Attentive, polite, friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. We were given a lovely table near the window, which was very pleasant, but the whole place had a nice atmosphere, so I think it would’ve been nice wherever we had been seated. It’s in a fabulous location - next to a Premier Inn and located just off the junction of the A1(M)/A414, so it’s a great place to stop off during travels. Also has Stanborough Lakes close by, so we’d enjoyed a nice walk before stopping at The Stanborough. Couldn’t ask for more. Will be back very soon. 👍

Staying at the premier inn. Had a meal here last night and we hadn't pre-booked a table. We got seated no problem even although it was rather busy. The restaurant manager was a very pleasant guy and chatted away to us. Our waitress Jo was lovely, very friendly & helpful about the menu choices. Food was good and service great. Recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Premier Inn & Beefeater always good combo. The staff here are absolutely lovely no matter what time day or night. Nice comfy bed & great breakfast all you need when traveling 👍

Lovely meal out with friends, had the smoky paprka chicken followed by a mini pud and coffee. Plenty for me � great service from staff too �

Just stopped in for dinner on the way home to Telford great service the food was excellent with pleasant staff.

Have breakfast quite often as kids eat free so can fill them up for the day!! All you can eat plenty of choice, continental, cooked, pastry and more....***

Had a lovely meal with my family .... we rate everywhere we eat based on a 5star rating ..... we rated it 5 stars ...... it was our 2nd visit as my Husband wasn't with us the 1st time and we rated it 5 stars again .... yes we had to wait a little while ... but it was oh sooo worth it !!! The only thing that wasn't top notch is that I have Coeliac disease so can't have wheat or Gluten ..... there wasn't much choice on the menu and there wasn't any puddings for me at all !!!! But they still deserve a 5 star in my book !!! Will definitely be going back again !!!! Well done !!!!

Every staff member was lovely especially the waitresses...also they gave my 5 month old her first balloon that she was amazed by! Lovely atmosphere, clean, friendly, modern and food was amazing :) didn't get the name of the girl who served us but exceptional service x

Dinner with friends. Very friendly waitress. She Always is whenever we go. Lovely meal . loved the sea bass and the rocky road sundae. Food nice and hot. Will get my gin and tonic trifle one of these days ( second time it was off).

Brilliant food and great service from the staff we had a lovely women called jo who was our waitress and she was fantastic.

Been here a lot just recently, great food and not overly expensive. Great for all the family x

Was expecting a long wait for food as they were quite busy, but my friend and I were impressed not only with the food but also the quality of service from the waitress

The Food was delightful and very good value for money the staff was very welcoming friendly and helpful, very good menu with loads of different options. Would most likely dine again there.

It’s pub grub. Service is always good, the food won’t blow you away but it’s decent enough for the price. I collect the tokens and they encourage vouchers and things so you can get a decent meal free wine for a bargain.

As we live close we go here quite regularly.

GREAT waitress Toni - she was lovely, very bubbly, happy and engaging which makes a big difference when you are away on business on your own. She didn't let it phase her when another diner seemingly got angry about something. If the food were as good as her service I would have given 5* - thank you for your service Toni �

Food was nice needs a slight improvement in getting the steaks cooked to what we ask. But a lot better than the romford branch always running out of steaks 3 times same problem never again

Was in there just over 3 hours, service was very slow, which is not good when u have children with you!! Even to get a drink refill took over half hour

The staff are great ... but unfortunately my Sunday lunch was hot temperature vegetable wellington and cold roast potatoes and vegetables .. the starters and dessert was good.

Restaurant quite busy so not the quickest of service - meal was lovely but staff weren't that friendly - woman who greeted us didn't make any eye contact or make any conversation and waitress a bit stand offish. Desert was nice but no brownie in my ice cream sundae - overall rating 7/10

Celebrating a friends birthday. 12 to eat. Service was good but food over cooked. I had smothered chicken and it was like eating a leather soul! All had over cooked or food that had been sitting on a hot plate for too long.

As other people have mentioned i also find the service extremely slow. I usually ask the waiting time for food on arrival here, so i can make a decition if it's worth waiting or not. As I have children and you can't expect them to wait over an hour for there food.

Starters, once they arrived were very nice but sadly the main meals were a let down. mine was missing part of the meal (apparently they had been very busy and she thought they had probably run out of some stuff? really.... take it off the menu (add it to your long list ) or at least inform me when i ordered so i could make an informed choice, not just leave it off my plate and see if i noticed /mentioned it.

My partners steak should have been med/rare... arrived well done :-(

I ordered a re-fillable pepsi..... asked twice for a re fill but it just never arrived... waste of money.

Went there for my Mums' birthday last night (she likes to keep it simple at 83...).



Disappointing really. Not been there for sometime, and the prices are much higher than I recall. OK, you get plenty on your plate (my ribs were actually ludicrously huge) - but steaks, ribs and the usual Beefeater fare are now in the £15-20+ range, whereas it wasn't long ago that this was £10-15.



I wouldn't have minded the price hike so much had what I got matched what I ordered (asked for chicken & ribs, and just got the ribs). I mentioned it when it arrived, and was offered the chicken, but then one of 3 things tend to happen - the chicken appears in 2 mins so you know it's just been heated up, you sit for ages waiting for it so all 3 meals go cold, or you let everyone else get on whilst you stare at the empty space in front of you and then eat alone. Decided just to take it as it was. We wasn't offered any condiments until someone happened to pass by who we collared, so I had some mustard for the last 25% of my meal only.



I fairness, the staff were polite enough when we got to see any of them, but we did get forgotten about for long periods. We ditched the idea of a dessert simply as the experience hadn't merited any extra time or money, so I paid the bill and left. I always tip over and above the norm for even just decent service & food, but left nothing extra last night.



It's 'just' a Beefeater, I know - but it's no longer that cheap, it's desperately in need of a refurb or at least a lick of paint (it's quite dimly lit, but in a way that just makes it look like the bulbs are dirty...) and the food/service left a lot to be desired.

We took out Mum for her 93rd birthday and she ordered the Sunday roast chicken. My wife and I had steak. It took ages to arrive to us and when they put mums dinner down there was the usual vegetables that accompany a roast but the roast chicken had turned into a piece of char grilled chicken! ( plus Mum said the vegetables weren’t cooked and the potatoes were only warm) I complained to the manager and he said that they had run out of the roast chicken and as we had been waiting a while for our food they didn’t think we would like to wait whilst they cooked something else. I think it was extremely bad of them not to come over and explain this to us,instead they just put the food down and walked away. We certainly won’t be hurrying back there which is a pity because both mine and my wife’s steaks were very nice

Waited so long to be seated. And we wanted to order the kids meals so they were cool to eat with ours...

But ours took ages . Very average....fish and chips were dry....

Dislike the new refurbishment felt squashed in and in full view of everyone. The lady on the next table kept farting extremely loudly we couldn't enjoy our meal and family time. Was the first time in a very long time myself my husband and 2 children have been out for dinner together due to my husband busy work schedule and my son who is at college and works evenings. Very disappointing

Cannot even give this one star. 14 of us went to the Beefeater last night and the service was really slow. One person was trying to do everything - took about 20 minutes to even get a drink. When our meals finally arrived they were not good. The vegetarian pasta had chicken in it and the sea bass was not cooked properly. The rest of the meals were so small - the jacket potatoes were the size of a golf ball and the smothered chicken was not actually smothered with anything. Some of the meals were cold when they arrived and the rest quickly got cold as it was freezing with the air conditioning. We asked to speak to the manager to try to get some sort of compensation for our bad experience and a chap called BILL came over - he was the rudest manager of an establishment I have ever come across and actually told one of our party to be quiet and not interrupt when he was talking !!!!! All in all what should have been a great night out was ruined by poor food and an unhelpful and rude Manager. However on the plus side our waitress Rebbeca could not apologise enough and did her best to sort things out for us.

The staff are great ... but unfortunately my Sunday lunch was hot temperature vegetable wellington and cold roast potatoes and vegetables .. the starters and dessert was good.

Restaurant quite busy so not the quickest of service - meal was lovely but staff weren't that friendly - woman who greeted us didn't make any eye contact or make any conversation and waitress a bit stand offish. Desert was nice but no brownie in my ice cream sundae - overall rating 7/10

Celebrating a friends birthday. 12 to eat. Service was good but food over cooked. I had smothered chicken and it was like eating a leather soul! All had over cooked or food that had been sitting on a hot plate for too long.

As other people have mentioned i also find the service extremely slow. I usually ask the waiting time for food on arrival here, so i can make a decition if it's worth waiting or not. As I have children and you can't expect them to wait over an hour for there food.

I ordered a re-fillable pepsi..... asked twice for a re fill but it just never arrived... waste of money.

OK, you get plenty on your plate (my ribs were actually ludicrously huge) - but steaks, ribs and the usual Beefeater fare are now in the £15-20+ range, whereas it wasn't long ago that this was £10-15.



I wouldn't have minded the price hike so much had what I got matched what I ordered (asked for chicken & ribs, and just got the ribs). I mentioned it when it arrived, and was offered the chicken, but then one of 3 things tend to happen - the chicken appears in 2 mins so you know it's just been heated up, you sit for ages waiting for it so all 3 meals go cold, or you let everyone else get on whilst you stare at the empty space in front of you and then eat alone. Decided just to take it as it was. We wasn't offered any condiments until someone happened to pass by who we collared, so I had some mustard for the last 25% of my meal only.



I fairness, the staff were polite enough when we got to see any of them, but we did get forgotten about for long periods. We ditched the idea of a dessert simply as the experience hadn't merited any extra time or money, so I paid the bill and left. I always tip over and above the norm for even just decent service & food, but left nothing extra last night.



It's 'just' a Beefeater, I know - but it's no longer that cheap, it's desperately in need of a refurb or at least a lick of paint (it's quite dimly lit, but in a way that just makes it look like the bulbs are dirty...) and the food/service left a lot to be desired.

It took ages to arrive to us and when they put mums dinner down there was the usual vegetables that accompany a roast but the roast chicken had turned into a piece of char grilled chicken! ( plus Mum said the vegetables weren’t cooked and the potatoes were only warm) I complained to the manager and he said that they had run out of the roast chicken and as we had been waiting a while for our food they didn’t think we would like to wait whilst they cooked something else. I think it was extremely bad of them not to come over and explain this to us,instead they just put the food down and walked away. We certainly won’t be hurrying back there which is a pity because both mine and my wife’s steaks were very nice

Dislike the new refurbishment felt squashed in and in full view of everyone. The lady on the next table kept farting extremely loudly we couldn't enjoy our meal and family time. Was the first time in a very long time myself my husband and 2 children have been out for dinner together due to my husband busy work schedule and my son who is at college and works evenings. Very disappointing

We asked to speak to the manager to try to get some sort of compensation for our bad experience and a chap called BILL came over - he was the rudest manager of an establishment I have ever come across and actually told one of our party to be quiet and not interrupt when he was talking !!!!! All in all what should have been a great night out was ruined by poor food and an unhelpful and rude Manager. However on the plus side our waitress Rebbeca could not apologise enough and did her best to sort things out for us.

Also has Stanborough Lakes close by, so we’d enjoyed a nice walk before stopping at The Stanborough. Couldn’t ask for more. Will be back very soon. 👍

Staying at the premier inn. Had a meal here last night and we hadn't pre-booked a table. We got seated no problem even although it was rather busy. The restaurant manager was a very pleasant guy and chatted away to us. Our waitress Jo was lovely, very friendly & helpful about the menu choices. Food was good and service great. Recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Premier Inn & Beefeater always good combo. The staff here are absolutely lovely no matter what time day or night. Nice comfy bed & great breakfast all you need when traveling 👍

The only thing that wasn't top notch is that I have Coeliac disease so can't have wheat or Gluten ..... there wasn't much choice on the menu and there wasn't any puddings for me at all !!!! It’s pub grub. Service is always good, the food won’t blow you away but it’s decent enough for the price. I collect the tokens and they encourage vouchers and things so you can get a decent meal free wine for a bargain.

As we live close we go here quite regularly.

GREAT waitress Toni - she was lovely, very bubbly, happy and engaging which makes a big difference when you are away on business on your own. She didn't let it phase her when another diner seemingly got angry about something. If the food were as good as her service I would have given 5* - thank you for your service Toni �

Very slow and poor service even tho it wasn't very busy and felt like we were getting rushed off even though we'd booked the table and were staying at the hotel. Very disappointed

The meal was ok apart from cold hard chips. We were left for 15 mins to have our plates cleared and order dessert. Had to ask another server where our waitress was,apparently she was making desserts. Another 5 mins went by so we called the manager. They couldn’t care less. Terrible attitude won’t be going back. Thrown my membership card in the bin

Cannot even give this one star. 14 of us went to the Beefeater last night and the service was really slow. One person was trying to do everything - took about 20 minutes to even get a drink. When our meals finally arrived they were not good. The vegetarian pasta had chicken in it and the sea bass was not cooked properly. The rest of the meals were so small - the jacket potatoes were the size of a golf ball and the smothered chicken was not actually smothered with anything. Some of the meals were cold when they arrived and the rest quickly got cold as it was freezing with the air conditioning. We asked to speak to the manager to try to get some sort of compensation for our bad experience and a chap called BILL came over - he was the rudest manager of an establishment I have ever come across and actually told one of our party to be quiet and not interrupt when he was talking !!!!! All in all what should have been a great night out was ruined by poor food and an unhelpful and rude Manager. However on the plus side our waitress Rebbeca could not apologise enough and did her best to sort things out for us.

This is a really superb little treasure. When we first arrived, we had to wait a little while for staff to greet us but it was really worth the wait. It was a really lovely lunch. Amazing food. Attentive, polite, friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. We were given a lovely table near the window, which was very pleasant, but the whole place had a nice atmosphere, so I think it would’ve been nice wherever we had been seated. It’s in a fabulous location - next to a Premier Inn and located just off the junction of the A1(M)/A414, so it’s a great place to stop off during travels. Also has Stanborough Lakes close by, so we’d enjoyed a nice walk before stopping at The Stanborough. Couldn’t ask for more. Will be back very soon. 👍

Staying at the premier inn. Had a meal here last night and we hadn't pre-booked a table. We got seated no problem even although it was rather busy. The restaurant manager was a very pleasant guy and chatted away to us. Our waitress Jo was lovely, very friendly & helpful about the menu choices. Food was good and service great. Recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Premier Inn & Beefeater always good combo. The staff here are absolutely lovely no matter what time day or night. Nice comfy bed & great breakfast all you need when traveling 👍

Have breakfast quite often as kids eat free so can fill them up for the day!! All you can eat plenty of choice, continental, cooked, pastry and more....***

Had a lovely meal with my family .... we rate everywhere we eat based on a 5star rating ..... we rated it 5 stars ...... it was our 2nd visit as my Husband wasn't with us the 1st time and we rated it 5 stars again .... yes we had to wait a little while ... but it was oh sooo worth it !!! The only thing that wasn't top notch is that I have Coeliac disease so can't have wheat or Gluten ..... there wasn't much choice on the menu and there wasn't any puddings for me at all !!!! But they still deserve a 5 star in my book !!! Will definitely be going back again !!!! Well done !!!!

Every staff member was lovely especially the waitresses...also they gave my 5 month old her first balloon that she was amazed by! Lovely atmosphere, clean, friendly, modern and food was amazing :) didn't get the name of the girl who served us but exceptional service x

Dinner with friends. Very friendly waitress. She Always is whenever we go. Lovely meal . loved the sea bass and the rocky road sundae. Food nice and hot. Will get my gin and tonic trifle one of these days ( second time it was off).

The Food was delightful and very good value for money the staff was very welcoming friendly and helpful, very good menu with loads of different options. Would most likely dine again there.

It’s pub grub. Service is always good, the food won’t blow you away but it’s decent enough for the price. I collect the tokens and they encourage vouchers and things so you can get a decent meal free wine for a bargain.

As we live close we go here quite regularly.

GREAT waitress Toni - she was lovely, very bubbly, happy and engaging which makes a big difference when you are away on business on your own. She didn't let it phase her when another diner seemingly got angry about something. If the food were as good as her service I would have given 5* - thank you for your service Toni �

Food was nice needs a slight improvement in getting the steaks cooked to what we ask. But a lot better than the romford branch always running out of steaks 3 times same problem never again

Was in there just over 3 hours, service was very slow, which is not good when u have children with you!! Even to get a drink refill took over half hour

The staff are great ... but unfortunately my Sunday lunch was hot temperature vegetable wellington and cold roast potatoes and vegetables .. the starters and dessert was good.

Restaurant quite busy so not the quickest of service - meal was lovely but staff weren't that friendly - woman who greeted us didn't make any eye contact or make any conversation and waitress a bit stand offish. Desert was nice but no brownie in my ice cream sundae - overall rating 7/10

Celebrating a friends birthday. 12 to eat. Service was good but food over cooked. I had smothered chicken and it was like eating a leather soul! All had over cooked or food that had been sitting on a hot plate for too long.

As other people have mentioned i also find the service extremely slow. I usually ask the waiting time for food on arrival here, so i can make a decition if it's worth waiting or not. As I have children and you can't expect them to wait over an hour for there food.

An ok experience. we have been here in the week and service and the food was sooooo much better.

we tried to book for 5.45 and couldn't get a table until 6.30.

service was slow and the first thing was the waitress presented us with a long list of eveything that they had run out of!

This was not just a couple of things but a long long list.



Starters, once they arrived were very nice but sadly the main meals were a let down. mine was missing part of the meal (apparently they had been very busy and she thought they had probably run out of some stuff? really.... take it off the menu (add it to your long list ) or at least inform me when i ordered so i could make an informed choice, not just leave it off my plate and see if i noticed /mentioned it.

My partners steak should have been med/rare... arrived well done :-(

I ordered a re-fillable pepsi..... asked twice for a re fill but it just never arrived... waste of money.

Went there for my Mums' birthday last night (she likes to keep it simple at 83...).



Disappointing really. Not been there for sometime, and the prices are much higher than I recall. OK, you get plenty on your plate (my ribs were actually ludicrously huge) - but steaks, ribs and the usual Beefeater fare are now in the £15-20+ range, whereas it wasn't long ago that this was £10-15.



I wouldn't have minded the price hike so much had what I got matched what I ordered (asked for chicken & ribs, and just got the ribs). I mentioned it when it arrived, and was offered the chicken, but then one of 3 things tend to happen - the chicken appears in 2 mins so you know it's just been heated up, you sit for ages waiting for it so all 3 meals go cold, or you let everyone else get on whilst you stare at the empty space in front of you and then eat alone. Decided just to take it as it was. We wasn't offered any condiments until someone happened to pass by who we collared, so I had some mustard for the last 25% of my meal only.



I fairness, the staff were polite enough when we got to see any of them, but we did get forgotten about for long periods. We ditched the idea of a dessert simply as the experience hadn't merited any extra time or money, so I paid the bill and left. I always tip over and above the norm for even just decent service & food, but left nothing extra last night.



It's 'just' a Beefeater, I know - but it's no longer that cheap, it's desperately in need of a refurb or at least a lick of paint (it's quite dimly lit, but in a way that just makes it look like the bulbs are dirty...) and the food/service left a lot to be desired.

We go to the Stanborough quite a lot and generally it’s been very good but the last couple of times have been a let down especially yesterday. We took out Mum for her 93rd birthday and she ordered the Sunday roast chicken. My wife and I had steak. It took ages to arrive to us and when they put mums dinner down there was the usual vegetables that accompany a roast but the roast chicken had turned into a piece of char grilled chicken! ( plus Mum said the vegetables weren’t cooked and the potatoes were only warm) I complained to the manager and he said that they had run out of the roast chicken and as we had been waiting a while for our food they didn’t think we would like to wait whilst they cooked something else. I think it was extremely bad of them not to come over and explain this to us,instead they just put the food down and walked away. We certainly won’t be hurrying back there which is a pity because both mine and my wife’s steaks were very nice

But ours took ages . Very average....fish and chips were dry....

Dislike the new refurbishment felt squashed in and in full view of everyone. The lady on the next table kept farting extremely loudly we couldn't enjoy our meal and family time. Was the first time in a very long time myself my husband and 2 children have been out for dinner together due to my husband busy work schedule and my son who is at college and works evenings. Very disappointing
