The Three Horseshoes Description
Situated on the A146 between the fishing port of Lowestoft (5 miles) and the Market Town of Beccles (3 miles), the Three Horseshoes offers a vast array of refreshments and good traditional home cooked food in a Family run Pub. And it’s not just any pub, the Three Horseshoes is said to be one of the oldest remaining working pubs in the area dating back to 1497, and is seated in front of the splendid medieval parish church, St. Botolph.
With ample off-road parking and indoor and outdoor seating (including the new Beer Garden which is under development), this all year round country pub and restaurant is a great place to visit.
The Three Horseshoes is just a short walk from the River Waveney which spans the Suffolk and Norfolk Broads. Although you cannot reach the pub directly by water, the X2 bus route stops very close by, and cycle route 30 runs right passed the entrance. There are also several footpaths that are close enough to make a detour for a quick half whilst out rambling or bird watching!
North Cove is not short of local attractions either, so why not wind up your day out in our Family, Child and Dog Friendly pub? Relax in front of the Log Fire in the colder months, or take in the fresh air and views from our beautiful outdoor area.

Mother’s Day Charity Event - Steve Hall will be performing predominantly the Beatles and he will be performing in aid of Cancer Research from 4.30 - 6.30 pm. We will have a great Sunday menu to include Sunday Roasts of Beef and Lamb, from 12.00 - 5.00 pm, plus a full Thai Menu in the evening from 6.00 - 9.00. It will be an Amazing Mothers Day at the “Shoes”.
We have yet another wonderful SUNDAY this Sunday 3rd March, 2019 here at the “Shoes”. During the afternoon on Sunday, 4.30 pm, back by very popular and absolutely fab Sarah Probert. She had been at the “Shoes” many times before and is are a real favourite. We have the usual lovely Sunday roast from 12.00 - 5,00 pm, plus specials from 12.00 - 3.30 pm, followed at 6 - 9pm by Thai food, here at the Three Horseshoes, Lowestoft Road, North Cove, Beccles, NR34 7PH. In the A146 Beccles to Lowestoft Road. And don’t forget the roast meal deal, Roast Plus A Sweet £14.00, wonderful. Texas Holden Poker will be on at the usual time of 7.00 pm.
The very, very lovely Pitkins Parlour Band will be playing and singing here again at the Shoes, Tuesday, 5th March, 2019. A treat not to be missed. We are at North Cove on the A146 Beccles to Lowestoft Road.

We have something to make everyone happy, starting next week, Monday, 18th February, 2019, Happy Hour starts! Carlsberg, Ales and Belhaven Black will be £3.00 per pint from 3.00 pm - 5.00 pm, Monday to Saturday. Not forgetting the great prices of our double ups, as always.
Your new chef is fantastic ! Had wonderful meal with you last week and I am still thinking about that enormous and delicious scotch egg starter - with a portion of chips thats worthy of a main meal. Was really easy to park too as its next to North Cove church so even if your car park is full theres still lots of safe parking. My favourite place to eat is the Duck and Waffle in London but the quality of your food means I'll be back soon to try some more of your dishes. BTW I didnt realise that your menu changes regularly so would be brilliant if a current menu could be put up on here every time it changes xxx thanks agin

Went up on a sunny Sunday and had a chicken massaman from Thai menu....highly recommend and very reasonable in price!
Went for the first time tonight and I will definitely go back, the land lady, staff, and locals were very welcoming and friendly, they had great entertainment and the food was amazing, was so worth the hour drive there
We had a great Sunday lunch here today. Six adults, two kids and two dogs. A lovely roast - very nice beef or pork with traditional roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds teamed with seasonal veg selection of beetroot, parsnips and butternut squash. My hubby had the steak and mushroom pie - it was huge and delicious with buttery mash. Scrummy homemade desserts. £17.50 per head including a drink and service. Cannot praise the cheerful and courteous staff highly enough either.
We had a girls evening night out. The staff were very friendly and great fun. The food was excellent, especially the desert. Highly recommended. Much improvement from the last owner's. Xxx

The pub is under new management now, we had Sunday lunch, which was great, we had our Christmas day lunch here and it was fabulous. I can not fault it or the new team. A very well done, keep it up peep's.

Stayed here on 23rd Sept in our motorhome as this pub is part of the Brit Stops, had a lovely meal, staff so friendly, will defo be back. Kind regards Shani & Colin.

Great night at the "Shoes" last Saturday. "Baku and Beyond" were outstanding as was "Scott Ribbons" their support act. Great to see the pub so busy, tremendous atmosphere and an excellent pint or two of Lacons bitter.
Everyone must try the Thai fish cakes amazing, and the Thai curry awesome shania is an amazing cook.
Came here yesterday to celebrate my mums birthday and Mother's Day, food was excellent and the service was superb! Would definitely recommend this pub for a great meal! A real family and dog friendly pub

01.12.2015 - A Fantastic Venue, full of character. A Warm friendly welcome from both the Staff and the log fire. Great food and a wide range of drinks to choose from. Highly recommend giving this place a look.
Live overseas, when home this is the only pub I visit - despite knowing no one always made to feel welcome, good old fashion pint and pub atmosphere with a terrific warming fire (yesterday). Love it !
Just popped in for sandwiches and a quick drink. Sat outside in the sun. Great food , service and husband liked the ale . Will try an evening meal another time.
