You honestly could not ask for a better wedding venue. The grounds are a stunning location for photographs and, in our case, the ceremony. The food is delicious and Sam and Amy could not be more helpful when it comes to organising your wedding. 5 stars all round! Thanks guys, you were amazing! We'll definitely be back.

Well what can I say!! we had our wedding party on the 11th May at the Upper house. The staff, food & entertainment was outstanding. Samantha, Alex & the whole team are just fantastic. They tended to all our needs and requests. We even had a 1am finish which was just fabulous. All our guests loved the place and to top off a great night the breakfast was totally amazing. Lots of love from us both. See you soon.

We just got married at the Upper House and had the most amazing day. We cannot thank them enough for making this one of the best days of our lives. Sam and Amy were fantastic in helping us to fulfil our dream of an intimate, twilight wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and they were friendly, approachable and really helpful in allowing us to have perfect day.

The Upper House is a beautiful setting, with spectacular gardens. The food was fantastic and all the guests commented on how much they enjoyed the whole experience. Words really cannot express how grateful we are to all the staff who helped to give us a truly unforgettable day. We cannot recommend the Upper House highly enough. Thank you! Xx

We have just had the most fantastic time celebrating our first wedding anniversary at the hotel. After getting married at the Upper House last year we decided to return to celebrate our first year as Mr and Mrs. To say we have enjoyed it would be an understatement. Every single member of staff went out of their way to congratulate us and to ask about our wedding. The food in the restaurant was utterly devine topped off by fantastic friendly service. We felt so relaxed it was a perfect way to spent our anniversary. The grounds are immaculate and so is every corner of the hotel. The Upper House will forever hold spectacular fond memories for us and we will be returning as often as possible! Thank you to every one for making our stay so fabulous!

We had our wedding here at the weekend and the service was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the day, every part of our special day was just what we wished for. Can’t thank the staff and wedding team enough for making our wedding absolutely perfect!

We got married here in October and what an amazing magical day it was! Every bit of the day was perfect and I can’t thank you all enough!! I just want to do it all over again! Sam and the team were brilliant, from the meetings to the emails! Nothing was too much trouble! The bridal suite that I got ready in was beautiful and plenty enough space for my Hairdressers and makeup artist do do there magic! The food was beautiful everyone commented on how tasty it was. We also had the hog roast for the evening which was also perfect! Thank you all so much for making our day so special xx

The most perfect venue for our wedding day yesterday... the day ran so smooth, the food was beautiful and most of all there was no stress. It was unreal.. can’t thank Sam and Amy enough! Just amazing! ��

So today we went for afternoon tea, there was me my bestie my mum and daughter and we all thought it was amazing. The staff are very friendly and the food was yummy. Can’t wait to get married there in October. Xx

Putting in words how I feel about this venue and it's team is hard. On the 14.04.17 we married here and had the best day imaginable. As the team would tell you , I like everything to be perfect and they did not disappoint. Friendly, caring, hard working and approachable; meeting Sam was lovely. She listened, worked on what we asked and nothing was to big or small. Our meetings were brilliant, she replied to emails and was always at the end of the phone. Everything that I had asked for, was delivered to the best quality and detail. The care and attention did not stop there.... On the day itself Amy Sam and the team were there to great me as I arrived and had lovely words to say before I walked down the aisle. (Something which means alot to a very nervous bride). The food was stunning, rooms amazing and venue dressed by the best. I am really grateful for all that was done to make our day so excellent. It is easy to write a review for such an amazing venue with an even better Wedding team. Mr and Mrs Bloor! �

Omg it’s the little things that makes you happy and forget about everything I had an amazing day today absolutely love it �����

Last week stayed with 12 friends at the Upper House for a reunion for three nights. We all had an amazing time. Without exception the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our evening meals were excellent. Cannot speak highly enough of our experience and it was excellent value for money. Senior managers Sandy and Heather are to be congratulated for the way they lead a superb team of staff. Thank you.

Just want to say a massive thank you for letting us use one of your rooms to get changed in for owen's prom very polite well mannered and courteous staff we can't thank you enough from all of us @N.S.Stormtroopers

Afternoon tea for 4 was excellent. The property, gardens etc were fantastic. Would highly recommend and we will be back there soon.

Absolutely beautiful place. A surprise birthday gift of afternoon tea from my friends. Very relaxing. Really pleased.

Booked for afternoon tea as a treat for our mum who is quite poorly . We arrived at 2.50pm and were asked to sit in the lounge where we sat until 3.35pm then eventually we were taken in for our tea the girl brought the tea but forgot the milk we had to go and find her. Then 10mins later the tea arrived and was nearly dropped all over the table. The sandwiches were nice but the plain scone was massive and dry.Afterwards we went into the garden and could have quite easily walked away without paying.

When i went in to pay and asked if everything was ok i said not really we booked for 3pm and had to wait nearly an hour for it she just said "oh sorry ". Would not recommend the afternoon tea.

We went for afternoon tea today and we were very disappointed: we didn’t get a choice in the sandwiches or cake we could have and were just presented with the food, with no explanation about the set up by our waiter; the service was extremely poor - we sat with empty plates in front of us for over an hour after we’d finished; the food didn’t seem very fresh - the bread was slightly hard, as though it had been left uncovered; and the initial response when we raised our concerns was met with, ‘Normally, it’s a fantastic experience...’ and ‘...service is poor because it’s quiet and the waiting on staff are doing paperwork.’ Nothing was done to address the issues that we raised. When we spoke to the manager (who was the man serving us!) he agreed, without hesitation, to apply a discount and apologised.



I would not recommend afternoon tea at The Upper House; there are many other establishments where you can choose what sandwiches and cake you would like with much better service.

Afternoon tea for 4 was excellent. The property, gardens etc were fantastic. Would highly recommend and we will be back there soon.

Absolutely beautiful place. A surprise birthday gift of afternoon tea from my friends. Very relaxing. Really pleased.

Booked for afternoon tea as a treat for our mum who is quite poorly . We arrived at 2.50pm and were asked to sit in the lounge where we sat until 3.35pm then eventually we were taken in for our tea the girl brought the tea but forgot the milk we had to go and find her. Then 10mins later the tea arrived and was nearly dropped all over the table. The sandwiches were nice but the plain scone was massive and dry.Afterwards we went into the garden and could have quite easily walked away without paying.

When i went in to pay and asked if everything was ok i said not really we booked for 3pm and had to wait nearly an hour for it she just said "oh sorry ". Would not recommend the afternoon tea.

We went for afternoon tea today and we were very disappointed: we didn’t get a choice in the sandwiches or cake we could have and were just presented with the food, with no explanation about the set up by our waiter; the service was extremely poor - we sat with empty plates in front of us for over an hour after we’d finished; the food didn’t seem very fresh - the bread was slightly hard, as though it had been left uncovered; and the initial response when we raised our concerns was met with, ‘Normally, it’s a fantastic experience...’ and ‘...service is poor because it’s quiet and the waiting on staff are doing paperwork.’ Nothing was done to address the issues that we raised. When we spoke to the manager (who was the man serving us!) he agreed, without hesitation, to apply a discount and apologised.



I would not recommend afternoon tea at The Upper House; there are many other establishments where you can choose what sandwiches and cake you would like with much better service.

You honestly could not ask for a better wedding venue. The grounds are a stunning location for photographs and, in our case, the ceremony. The food is delicious and Sam and Amy could not be more helpful when it comes to organising your wedding. 5 stars all round! Thanks guys, you were amazing! We'll definitely be back.

What a lovely place this is went a wedding here on Sunday stayed overnight the food and drinks was marvellous hope Tim and Chrissy have a wonderful marriage and a long and healthy one too xx

Well what can I say!! we had our wedding party on the 11th May at the Upper house. The staff, food & entertainment was outstanding. Samantha, Alex & the whole team are just fantastic. They tended to all our needs and requests. We even had a 1am finish which was just fabulous. All our guests loved the place and to top off a great night the breakfast was totally amazing. Lots of love from us both. See you soon.

We just got married at the Upper House and had the most amazing day. We cannot thank them enough for making this one of the best days of our lives. Sam and Amy were fantastic in helping us to fulfil our dream of an intimate, twilight wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and they were friendly, approachable and really helpful in allowing us to have perfect day.

The Upper House is a beautiful setting, with spectacular gardens. The food was fantastic and all the guests commented on how much they enjoyed the whole experience. Words really cannot express how grateful we are to all the staff who helped to give us a truly unforgettable day. We cannot recommend the Upper House highly enough. Thank you! Xx

We have just had the most fantastic time celebrating our first wedding anniversary at the hotel. After getting married at the Upper House last year we decided to return to celebrate our first year as Mr and Mrs. To say we have enjoyed it would be an understatement. Every single member of staff went out of their way to congratulate us and to ask about our wedding. The food in the restaurant was utterly devine topped off by fantastic friendly service. We felt so relaxed it was a perfect way to spent our anniversary. The grounds are immaculate and so is every corner of the hotel. The Upper House will forever hold spectacular fond memories for us and we will be returning as often as possible! Thank you to every one for making our stay so fabulous!

We got married here in October and what an amazing magical day it was! Every bit of the day was perfect and I can’t thank you all enough!! I just want to do it all over again! Sam and the team were brilliant, from the meetings to the emails! Nothing was too much trouble! The bridal suite that I got ready in was beautiful and plenty enough space for my Hairdressers and makeup artist do do there magic! The food was beautiful everyone commented on how tasty it was. We also had the hog roast for the evening which was also perfect! Thank you all so much for making our day so special xx

Putting in words how I feel about this venue and it's team is hard. On the 14.04.17 we married here and had the best day imaginable. As the team would tell you , I like everything to be perfect and they did not disappoint. Friendly, caring, hard working and approachable; meeting Sam was lovely. She listened, worked on what we asked and nothing was to big or small. Our meetings were brilliant, she replied to emails and was always at the end of the phone. Everything that I had asked for, was delivered to the best quality and detail. The care and attention did not stop there.... On the day itself Amy Sam and the team were there to great me as I arrived and had lovely words to say before I walked down the aisle. (Something which means alot to a very nervous bride). The food was stunning, rooms amazing and venue dressed by the best. I am really grateful for all that was done to make our day so excellent. It is easy to write a review for such an amazing venue with an even better Wedding team. Mr and Mrs Bloor! �

Lovely venue and fantastic staff! Absolutely love shooting weddings here as there are so many spots for photos.

Last week stayed with 12 friends at the Upper House for a reunion for three nights. We all had an amazing time. Without exception the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our evening meals were excellent. Cannot speak highly enough of our experience and it was excellent value for money.
