What can I say, free big screen football on the beach!

The watering hole isn’t the only reason we come to Perranporth but it’s one of the reasons we keep coming back. Unique experience, we love it here!

We had lunch yesterday, we did not have to wait long.. food is excellent & good helping, well presented.. coffee is also good not expensive! Excellent service! We enjoyed our stay, wonderful location to chill out!!

The watering hole is my very fave place! We drove 4.5 hours to come for 1 evening, always worth it, friendly, good food, amazing music!

The pub on the Beach. Unique location and great staff. Drinks nice and cold, premium price but you expect that. Difficult to be other than sandy and the bar could do with an upgrade but hey this is on the best, longest beach in Cornwall, and nowhere has this glorious view.

The Watering Hole is a very special place, nestling in the dunes, with the scent of the sea and sand all around, it is a fantastic venue to hold open air parties and celebrations or just to share with family and friends. The view of the sunset is sensational. Gorgeous to watch while your tucking into fried chicken and chips or some other culinary delight. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Of course the “Wow” factor is variable depending on the weather... but then even a cool breeze and misty rain can seem attractive when your inside sipping your favourite tipple with a tasty snack looking out at that wonderful ocean and the dunes. Must visit again soon x

Okay so came for the scouting for girls gig ! My daughter is in a wheelchair and I was hugely nervous after hearing some horror stories about the venue ! But I have to give credit where due bar staff picked us up from the rugby club as arrange helped me with the wheelchair both before and after the gig with a smile ! They let us stay when the kicked out which meant she had a front row spot so very happy ! Yes it was cramped and I do think less tickets might be a good idea but hey my daughter and her friend (and if I am honest me too) had an awesome evening ! Security were brilliant and all in all I would say well done Watering Hole !

Had our wedding at the Watering hole on Saturday and we had an absolutely amazing day. The girls and guys did such an incredible job. The food was amazing too, we had a bbq buffet, delicious. The venue is absolutely perfect for weddings...yes it helped that the weather was amazing but honestly couldn't recommend them enough. Brilliant day.

Fabulous lunch yesterday, choices for all the family and the quality of the food was amazing! Staff are friendly and if you have a four legged friend they are welcome too. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely lovely pub, we visit every single year! Such a family friendly environment with such polite and happy staff, and the food is great. Nothing better than relaxing outside watching the beach.

Absolutely amaaaaaaazing place.. couldn’t be a better spot for some ice cold refreshments on a hot summers day ���

We stopped on way to our holiday home in Port Isaac from St.Micheal Mount as it was recommended so a bit out of the way,it was a fantastic location view unbelievable,the food was lovely and massive portions,served very quickly,the one down side was people smoking whilst we were eating,I know it's outside but a bit of a put of for a non smoker as seats close to eat other especially as we were sat right next to the doors on the verander,I thought the law was so many feet from a door ,if the outside seating area was non smoking it would be beyond brilliant

We love Perranporth and the beach and a visit is never compete without a drink in The Warering Hole. Sandy feet, kids and dogs always welcome. The food is excellent, and better value since the paging system has been put in place. The one downside, that really needs addressing, is the toilet facilities. I realise that people use these straight off the beach, but in the 8 years we have been visiting the only improvement has been an addition of another handdryer. Come on Watering Hole, these facilities really show up by your otherwise excellent venue.

Nice venue for a band, drinks not too expensive for a tourist hotspot. I don't think the layout quite supports the capacity though - I can imagine a lot of people who bought tickets (and were unlucky enough not to be tall) were unable to see anything at all!

I can’t review the food as I have not eaten here,but the service was very good,friendly staff. Drinks a little on the high side but you expect to pay more for the amazing location.

Couple of days ago I wasn’t very impressed though.

Ordered food from two girls who looked around 16 at the food bar.

Asked for the camembert sharer to come out first as a starter before our main meal.

Not only was I told that they wouldn’t do it I was argued with over why I shouldn’t be asking for ‘special treatment’ over the other diners as they don’t do starters.

I gently explained that I didn’t think it was an outrageous request to ask for one thing to come out before another from a restaurant. I was told the kitchen would ‘get really funny’ if they were asked.

I gave up and cancelled the food order.

We normally eat at Wetherspoons a couple of hundred yards away. Great food at half the price with no attitude from the staff!

A glorified shack with gross toilets and massively overpriced drinks (can only guess the same goes for the food).

Music is excessively loud for the size of venue. Everyone just crams themselves up against the stage and no one behind the 3rd row can see a thing. Watched a sh*t DJ for an hour while waiting to see Too Many Zooz (who we really wanted to see). We couldn’t see a thing and got sick of being shoved and barged around by drunks! Left after 10 minutes. Absolutely gutted...will NOT be returning!



Give it a make over, clean the toilets, don’t be so damn greedy with the prices, turn the music down (no need to make people’s ears whistle within the first 10 minutes!) and sort out something better for the stage...and give the miserable girls behind the bar a kick up the ass too!!!

Of course the “Wow” factor is variable depending on the weather... but then even a cool breeze and misty rain can seem attractive when your inside sipping your favourite tipple with a tasty snack looking out at that wonderful ocean and the dunes. Must visit again soon x

Okay so came for the scouting for girls gig ! My daughter is in a wheelchair and I was hugely nervous after hearing some horror stories about the venue ! But I have to give credit where due bar staff picked us up from the rugby club as arrange helped me with the wheelchair both before and after the gig with a smile ! They let us stay when the kicked out which meant she had a front row spot so very happy ! Yes it was cramped and I do think less tickets might be a good idea but hey my daughter and her friend (and if I am honest me too) had an awesome evening ! Security were brilliant and all in all I would say well done Watering Hole !

Had our wedding at the Watering hole on Saturday and we had an absolutely amazing day. The girls and guys did such an incredible job. The food was amazing too, we had a bbq buffet, delicious. The venue is absolutely perfect for weddings...yes it helped that the weather was amazing but honestly couldn't recommend them enough. Brilliant day.

Fabulous lunch yesterday, choices for all the family and the quality of the food was amazing! Staff are friendly and if you have a four legged friend they are welcome too. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely lovely pub, we visit every single year! Such a family friendly environment with such polite and happy staff, and the food is great. Nothing better than relaxing outside watching the beach.

We stopped on way to our holiday home in Port Isaac from St.Micheal Mount as it was recommended so a bit out of the way,it was a fantastic location view unbelievable,the food was lovely and massive portions,served very quickly,the one down side was people smoking whilst we were eating,I know it's outside but a bit of a put of for a non smoker as seats close to eat other especially as we were sat right next to the doors on the verander,I thought the law was so many feet from a door ,if the outside seating area was non smoking it would be beyond brilliant

We love Perranporth and the beach and a visit is never compete without a drink in The Warering Hole. Sandy feet, kids and dogs always welcome. The food is excellent, and better value since the paging system has been put in place. The one downside, that really needs addressing, is the toilet facilities. I realise that people use these straight off the beach, but in the 8 years we have been visiting the only improvement has been an addition of another handdryer. Come on Watering Hole, these facilities really show up by your otherwise excellent venue.

Nice venue for a band, drinks not too expensive for a tourist hotspot. I don't think the layout quite supports the capacity though - I can imagine a lot of people who bought tickets (and were unlucky enough not to be tall) were unable to see anything at all!

I can’t review the food as I have not eaten here,but the service was very good,friendly staff. Drinks a little on the high side but you expect to pay more for the amazing location.

Couple of days ago I wasn’t very impressed though.

Ordered food from two girls who looked around 16 at the food bar.

Asked for the camembert sharer to come out first as a starter before our main meal.

Not only was I told that they wouldn’t do it I was argued with over why I shouldn’t be asking for ‘special treatment’ over the other diners as they don’t do starters.

I gently explained that I didn’t think it was an outrageous request to ask for one thing to come out before another from a restaurant. I was told the kitchen would ‘get really funny’ if they were asked.

I gave up and cancelled the food order.

We normally eat at Wetherspoons a couple of hundred yards away. Great food at half the price with no attitude from the staff!

A glorified shack with gross toilets and massively overpriced drinks (can only guess the same goes for the food).

Music is excessively loud for the size of venue. Everyone just crams themselves up against the stage and no one behind the 3rd row can see a thing. Watched a sh*t DJ for an hour while waiting to see Too Many Zooz (who we really wanted to see). We couldn’t see a thing and got sick of being shoved and barged around by drunks! Left after 10 minutes. Absolutely gutted...will NOT be returning!



Give it a make over, clean the toilets, don’t be so damn greedy with the prices, turn the music down (no need to make people’s ears whistle within the first 10 minutes!) and sort out something better for the stage...and give the miserable girls behind the bar a kick up the ass too!!!

Was looking forward to going to this pub as never been before but so disappointed. Waited half an hour to get served at the bar and no system in place for being served. Bar staff look underage and toilets are shocking. Raking the money in but can't spend it on toilet roll! Also no security guard in place. Tables left with dirty plates on. Will not be returning gutted as live down here.

Too expensive. My friends food came half hour before mine and I ordered first for the same table . I had to go up 3 times before they finally gave me my food after it sitting there for ages . No apologies and they were no mayonnaise. The table I had to clean myself . Won’t go again
