went to see Elton john and had a great experience, i struggle walking abd got lots of help, staff very friendly, hope abax do more like this in future x

User

Went to the Elton John concert last night, amazing doesn't come close. Abax stadium needs to be used more often for this type of entertainment, a great venue, felt quite intermate, just get the parking sorted, maybe park and ride or the field next to the cemetery could be used. Overall, a great evening, thank you.

User

We to watch Posh as my grandson Kyle Barker (youth player) was on the bench for Peterborough united first team and had a great day thank you Posh

User

We had an amazing time at the Elton John concert last night. Please please please have more concerts on like this. Amazing venue for them & perfect for concerts.

Ladies toilets do need some help....

User

The best corporate entertainment I've ever experienced. Still on a high! Fantastic food and that guy on the piano wasn't bad either. Jake Isaac - so good. Well done Posh!

User

Ok you put more things like Elton on and I'm coming staff where brilliant and venue perfect as Charters is over the road

User

More concerts like the Elton John one fabulous place for football too.

User

It's great my mission is to get to all the home matches and the coffee is ok

User

I have visited for football before but more recently attended the the first ever concert there. It's was absolutely brilliant, the staff were pentlyful and very helpful. The police presence was very reassuring and all the security checks to enter made me and my husband and friends incredibly safe. Thank you.

User

Had a great time pity about the result for Plymouth Argyle, stewards were friendly, staff and your own supporters were outstanding hopefully we will extend the same when you guys visit the Theatre of Greens.

User

Great place to go to bring home 3 points and to sing your hearts out for the lads BCAFC

User

Brilliant venue for The Elton John Concert. So well organised, very high security presence for great peace of mind.

Top marks well done to everyone

User

Brilliant night, hopefully first of many concerts to be held there. And for those who moan about no food and drink allowed in, bearing in mind recent terrorist activities in the U.K. It makes sense as just because it's labelled doesn't mean it what's in the bottle! Oh the toilets, for goodness sake ok the main stand toilets sort of gave up the ghost, but there was plenty of mobile loos. From where I was sitting I saw the facility team going back and forth with toilets rolls numerous times. The posh staff were amazing 😉! Nothing was to much trouble for them. And I think they deserve a pat on the back as we all left a mess behind, I very much doubt they went home last night. No doubt it's looking like it never happened today. I mean who set it all up the football fairy, no the staff did and I don't doubt that they worked around the clock to ensure that everything was ready to go. 👍

User

Attended the first concert (Elton John) held at the ABAX stadium. Very well organised by the ground security and Cambridgeshire police too. Excellent food and drink services too. I hope this was the first of many big names to come to the home of POSH. 👍🏼

User

An awesome evening of classic and new music by Sir Elton John, this man deserves his nighthood for his services to music. An event put on at the Abax stadium which was amazing, the acoustics and over all sound worked really well, security in light of recent events was tight and professional, food and drink stalls served a mixed variety some would say over priced but hey this is Sir Elton John, treat yourself !! A huge congratulations to PUFC for putting this show on, let's hope there are more gigs to come.

User

Stadium ok. Have to say...... Kept waiting in the rain by the club stewards far too long at the turnstiles too long to be let in. No problem with searches or security in the climate we currently live in. It wouldn't have been beyond them to open the ground early so we didn't have to stand in the rain or under an eave.

User

I was at the Peterborough v QPR game yesterday, I have seen QPR there before and this was the second time that alcohol was unavailable. A great stadium to watch football, easy walk from train and bus stations. A good day out.

User

Elton John Concert. Security was excellent. Well organised staff. Screens needed to be a bit higher. Elton was great...love the old songs best. Ice cream was great too lol...

User

Brilliant concert and terrific venue. I was disappointed that no parking information was available especially as an out of towner. Also £2.50 for a cup of tea is a little over the top but I do understand venues are more expensive than normal.

User

Went to the Elton John concert. Fantastic performance by Sir Elton i must say. Venue was ok at first but as another lady said, inside toilets were diabolicle, as the evening went on most wouldnt flush and the paper to dry your hands was all over the floor so obviously no staff to clean up. Drinks were at inflated prices, small prosecco was around £7 I think, but still a good place for outside concerts.

User

We were there on Sunday for the Elton John gig, sat in the North Stand, and to say it was cramped is an understatement! There were only 2 (very old fashioned) toilets in the female block and we had to queue for over 20 minutes to use them, and when we did get in, there was no loo roll, they were very smelly and no soap for hand washing! Obviously not many women attended football when these were built but it's totally different now and not just football games that are held at the grounds.

The food and drink were very over priced.... £5 for a bottle of beer, £2.50 for a bottle of coke, yet we weren't allowed to take anything of our own in!!!

I was glad that all bags were searched, everybody was body scanned, and explosive squads and their dogs were evident at all times....and armed police were on duty when we left.....this made us feel a lot safer after the recent attacks.

Elton was superb, and the stewards did a fantastic job of directing people to their seats and asking for tickets from people who had left the ground and wanted to re-enter.

BUT....if you are going to use the ground for this sort of event again, I really do think you need to up your game where toilet facilities are concerned, and cap the prices for food and drink. Well done though, I'd definitely return xx

User

We travelled here for the Elton John concert we found it an ideal venue for such a show. If other areas were to improve we may consider using the venue again as only an hour and a half to travel too. Police and security were excellent.

However the down side sweets brand new in the bag had to be thrown in the bin! Drinks and actual food I understand but we have never been refused access to the jelly babies at any other venue!! We refused to pay inflated prices inside to replace them and therefore you lost our revenue from drinks too as we didn't buy them on principle.

Toilets well gross is an understatement we used them when we first arrived then steered clear. Both male and female toilets were filthy and unhygienic with toilets blocked and flushes not working. It's basic stuff and you should be able to get that right.

Seats were smaller and much tighter with little leg room compared to similar sized football grounds, so it was a bit uncomfortable, but we managed.

Leaving at the end and descending the internal stairs from zone A was a health and safety nightmare with no lighting for a good part of it and having to feel our way. I dread to think of the consequences should there have been an evacuation!

User

Season ticket holder attending pre-season friendly. Freemans Family Stand lower tier. The club have spent quite a bit in new players, but what a mess the approach to the ground was, and several places inside. You'd think the club could afford to spend a few quid to make sure it was a positive experience. How about: nears I have up the entrance into the car park; sorting out the broken and rusting seat frames in the lower tier front row; painting the roof girders and cleaning the roof; reprinting the toilet floors and cleaning out the urinals. Does any club official walk these areas and see for themselves? And why is parking made so hard? On top of that there's no special. Us service for matches and the last trains to country venues leave before the end of the match.

User

I'm sure it's fine for a game of football. We attended the Elton John concert and whilst the pitch converted to an ideal concert venue, the facilities need serious attention. The food outlets look tired and run down and as for the toilets, less said about them the better. Dirty, smelly, didn't flush, but that's probably because there weren't enough ladies. Please let's utilise the stadium as much as possible for other things then the profits can be invested in the fabric of the building instead of paying excessive wages to mediocre players. Must say the concert was great though.

User

I went to see Elton John there last night and as for accommodating a big act like Elton the stadium itself was really good.

- big issue with the ladies toilets, not enough, massive queues, toilet falling apart and flooding, extremely poor hygiene standards.

The cost of food/drinks rather pricey.

User

Heat to be able to see a stadium concert without having to travel too far, and must be a great feather in the cap of the club and city. Think it was clear this was probably one of th first times they have done this because, with experience, they would have done a few things better, such as signage. The parking was funny, we aimed for the wirrina, which was £5, ended up in a car park right next door and parked for free! Getting out, if you knew the area, was easy, but I was aware of some big queues for people who just followed the crowds, traffic management could have been better. The venue itself was great, but the sound was dreadful. The percussionists bongos browned out the first couple of songs, for instance, but I guess this is a different issue. All in all I would definitely go there again.

User

Football friendly v Wolves : Easy to find & great value parking opposite (£4 all day ) . Legroom a bit tight in old stand ( north ) for away supporters and restricted view as a stand support in the way but cant complain really as it is an old stand showing its age . Main complaint was despite selling tickets & having some idea how many will turn up , Half time came and the nearest refreshment point had no hot food - Just bottled soft drinks for £2.20 and crisps at over £1 a bag . Shocking really but enjoyed the atmosphere and the game .

User

Went to see Elton John. It is a nice small stadium and it had great sound. But we could not believe the leg room in the stands. You had to sit sideways and your knees still were pressed again the seat in front of you. It was beyond uncomfortable. My husband is 6'1 and I'm 5'4 and it was the same for both of us. My husband could not tolerate sitting there, so we upgraded to floor tickets. We now know that if we ever go back, we will only go on the floor.

User

Strange that away fans are cramped into an old stand with poor leg room, whilst there are so many empty seats in newer stands

User

Old wooden seats, poor toilet facilities. Appears the away end has been neglected? Needs some updating. Poor facilities for the ticket price. On the plus side the staff & stewards were pleasant and helpful.

User

Not at all a bad location for us. A great Elton John concert.

Travel from Cambridge is pretty smooth, even for those unused to the parkway and roundabout maze.

A bit surprised to find that our chosen car park didn't let us use the nice convenient £4 spaces but instead directed into a sprawling unmetaled area where they charged us £8 with such restricted access that it took us over an hour to leave. Probably no fault of the stadium, though.

After Manchester and London the queues getting in and patting down were only to be expected. I was a bit surprised to see people's bottled water being binned, and I imagine the confiscation of unopened bags of sweets suffered by the people in front of us was in line with the "no outside food" policy.

Having been in the car for some time my wife and daughter visited the toilets and rather wished they hadn't once they'd seen their state. (And that was a long time before the pressure inn them really mounted.) Couldn't the stadium at least check that they'd started the evening with seats?

With over four hours to go, and being unable to bring it with them, most people were interested in food and drink, and I did feel that the stadium had rather exploited it's monopoly position in the prices charged.

We opted to buy food from inside the stadium because you were allowed to consume it from your seat. This was not true of the food available from external vendors in the rear carpark area: so many people ate and drank seated on curbs or standing up before being allowed back in.

Our first purchases were so criminally unsatisfactory that the stadium ought to have been ashamed. They were £5.50 kebabs nicely arrayed in smart boxes. Other than the box these consisted of a perfectly sensible pitta bread, a fraction of a lettuce leaf that would starve a caterpillar, two slices of tomato and about four delicate pieces of cold Donna kebab that, should you lay them out on your hand would literally just about cover your fingers.

We were completely dumbfounded to discover no meat below the pitta, having assumed what was above it was a garnish.

A while after our essentially empty pitta sandwiches we considered our evening meal and came to the conclusion that whatever the health benefits now was not a great time to start our vegan diet and so again set off to find at least one extra portion of just about anything. Sadly that wasn't possible. Not a hot dog, nor a burger, not a chip nor a crisp. Absolutely _everything_ had been sold.

Apparently the stadium organizers had not calculated that, having requested arrival at about 6pm (dinner time?), not having scheduled the (excellent) warm up band for another hour, and having disallowed, and in some cases confiscated, food on the way in, the demand for food might have been fairly high.

It turns out that, even with no food, famine was not on the cards and our continued existence was pretty much in the bag.

All-in-all the concert was great. The stadium organizers should take very little credit for that.

Not that keen to return to the venue.

User

Just like going back in time, uncomfortable wooden seats, restricted view and pies like bricks obviously reheated after a previous match. Feel for the fans who put up with that, week in, week out.

User

Information at Queensgate about parking was excellent. Security into Stadium was good. Once inside food and drink options were limited and overpriced. Support act Jake Isaac's gave a good performance and tried to get the crowd involved. Downside was the wait between him and Sir Elton. Seemed to be a problem with double booked seats in our section. Security asked us and others to leave our seats even though our tickets were scanned in on entry. Bonus was that Box Office gave us seats closer to the stage. Sir Elton gave a brilliant performance. Leaving the stadium was well organised and once outside the Police had closed roads to make it easier to reach onward travel. ABAX Stadium would be an ideal venue for concerts going forward if they could provide more variety of hospitality and ensure ticketing of seats is correct.

Had fabulous evening at the Elton John concert. As usual tho, food & drink all at outrageous prices, taking full advantage of your captive customers.

Also annoyed at some staff and their 'wisecracks'

"Elton isn't coming, too worried he will get blown up"

"Can I just check your bag please? Just want to make sure there's no Semtex in there"

So to make this clear, 2* for the venue, prices and insensitive staff.

5* for Elton, his show and his moving tributes to the victims of the recent terrorist attacks.

Elton john was amazing, seats and stands were clean. But we had two of your 'security staff' make bomb jokes to us. Completely unacceptable!

User

As a concert venue, it was ok. Bar prices very expensive, but queues were not too bad. Access and security was swift and well executed. The worst experience by far was the toilets, that simply couldn't cope with the quantity of wee's required: Blocked, brimming and pretty disgusting after only an hour of the doors opening.

User

£26 to sit on old wooden cramped seats.....got to be a joke! Only good thing was the result

User

The seating in the old stand has no legroom and the small wooden seats are very uncomfortable. I am only 5ft 8ins and my knees were pressing into the seat in front of me which quickly became painful. I doubt that I will be coming back at the price that will be charged for a league match

Seating far too close to ones in front no leg room at all and I am only 5'8" really uncomfortable don't know how anyone taller than me can sit comfortably.
