This article sums up what we are trying to achieve. Having had children myself I know what a tough business being a parent is. We want to create a community, a collective that can come together, minus the judgements, more of the truth and realities of modern parenting. Wave, comment, like if you need a place like this in your life... coming soon to Solihull...
Please do not forget those that died in the name of “honour”. This saddens me even though we live in a great wonderful tolerant society, there is still the “culture” of religious, caste, race hatred or even superiority. Love does not care if you are yellow with spots. Love is what binds us and creates bonds. Hate is the extreme of what divides us. Hate creates anger and bitterness. Hate is what creates that gaping hole of loss. And that hole feels forever.
Please share and support this amazing organisation that is standing up for a very worthy cause. Our communities need education and support.
An area that is often not spoken about, women and men feeling let down by their bodies, ashamed, not feeling like a ‘true’ man or woman. Please respect people and their journeys, it is not always easy and lets be okay with that. What can you say instead? “How are you, really?” Just try to see the world from their perspective. Not always the easiest of tasks, but sometimes just letting people talk is often enough. Just Listen with your heart open and judgement left behind.

Today has reminded me that despite remaining professional in therapeutic relationships, we as therapists, can feel emotions that overwhelm. I feel sadness for a client. For someone who I know well. I feel pain and despair. I am human.
... The relationship that develops in a therapeutic setting can be intense. It is unique relationship that you may never experience with anyone else. It is not a chat over coffee. It is a conversation with purpose and meaning. You may share things that no one else would be able to tolerate. You may even be brave enough to tolerate the pain felt in the room.
It is tough, this therapy business. But even though you may feel that you are one of many clients to us. You have a place in our hearts.

Anyone else relate to the dripping nose, itchy eyes and palate. The general miserable feeling it gives us. I’m constantly sniffing and it’s not nice especially when I’m seeing clients. #sorenose #passmemoretissues #therapyroom #infertility #summer #hayfever #problems #realtalk
It’s starting to feel like home! Looking forward to sharing more progress pics. #therapyroom #knolwe #solihull #psychologist #counselling #anxiety #depression #infertility #therapyroominspo #perinatal #parenting #menopause #mentalhealth @ Knowle, West Midlands
This makes my heart melt. Mammas and papas the days are long and the years are short.
Father’s Day. You become a Father because you became a Father in your heart. You will always hold that in your heart. #maleinfertility #fathersday #infertility #loss #grief #counselling #psychology #mensmentalhealth #youarenotalone

Currently sat on the train back home. Feeling drained from an intense two day training on infertility counselling. Even though it’s been intense, it’s been eye opening how complex the work is with regards to the multiple treatment options, the ethical considerations as well as the “roller coaster” of psychological journey. Despite my brain feeling somewhat foggy I am really excited to offer a better understanding into this for TherapySense clients.
It’s been a busy week! Wednesday I was immersed in all things perinatal and baby at the DCP conference in Birmingham. For the next two days I’ll be learning about infertility counselling in Manchester. Can not wait to share my insights with you. Thank you @parenthoodinmind for the advice!
TherapySense at school! Learning never stops. Very excited to be sat with amazing professionals who share a passion for perinatal psychology @perinatalDCP
Woo hoo! Shiny new business cards have arrived! @ Knowle, West Midlands
Yay! We finally have a place to call “home”. We look forward to sharing this next step in the TherapySense chapter with you. It’s not a perfect “instagram” picture but that’s okay. This is our reality and that is “life is a work in progress”. Yes that is a cardboard box. But let’s enjoy finally being home. @ Knowle, West Midlands
Yaaaasss! Hugs, hugs and more hugs!
Loneliness isn’t just not being around people, it’s a feeling when we feel disconnected. That is depression.
Today is our last day at Bupa Solihull. It’s been a lovely place to work from. Thank you to all the lovely staff here. They are truly a great service. Stay tuned for the reveal of new home of TherapySense!
