Do not have any open flames, this includes disposable BBQs. Do not drop litter. Do not set camp fires. Always report a fire to the rescue services quickly giving an accurate location.

14 Fire engines including a unit from RAF Lakenheath have been tackling a fire on fire route 4, Lakenheath to Brandon Road.
An area of woodland roughly 100m x 80m has been destroyed but the fire is now under control.
We would like to thank all the Fire and Rescue services from across the county and their American colleagues for their swift response.

It maybe in a different language but the message is the same and an important one...........
Harvesting sites have signage advising no access for your safety as well as our workers. Do not put them or yourself at risk.
Take notice of any prohibition signage, do NOT access harvesting sites even if you cant hear a machine running.

Already we have had 6 fires.
Despite all the warnings people still continued to light BBQs within the forest at the weekend. With the dry weather set to continue for some time.... please to protect the forest, follow some crucial rules to help prevent fires..........
... 1. Don't throw cigarettes out of car windows or drop them in the forest when you are driving or walking in the forest. Dispose of any cigarettes safely and ensure they have been properly stubbed out.
2. Open flames and BBQs including disposable BBQs are NOT permitted within the forest.
3. Avoid dropping glass of any kind on the forest floor; this can sometimes accidentally start a fire, or injure people or animals.
4. Never start a campfire in the forest as they can get out of hand very quickly.
Dry conditions greatly increase the risk of forest fires. Not only are fires a threat to human life, but also to animals, vegetation and trees.
If you see a forest fire dial 999 and ask for the Fire & Rescue Service.
Thank you Thetford Ranger

We had a fantastic time on route home from

Holiday. So much to do with great trails and parks for the children. The cafe was lovely and reasonably priced and toilets baby change facilities were clean. Parking was reasonable and value for money. We wished we could have stayed all day to explore more.

User

Thetford Forest is an amazing place to visit, plenty to do, if you love walking there are quite A few interesting (different lengths) of walks. If you like activities there are plenty of things for you to do (payment required) or if you want to sit and have a picnic and just relax you can do that too xxx plenty to do and see, for families or groups or on your own xxx

User

Only spent an hour and a half there on the bike, but that was the best hour and a half of my short break.

Gorgeous warm sunny weather, and the Beater Trail is perfect.

Loved the flowing lines, tight turns and small berms. Perfect, perfect single track.

I didn’t experience the cafe, but if it is as well set up as what I did experience, I’m sure it’s great.

Considering the 2 1/2 hr drive to come back with friends 👍🏻

User

Lovely woodland with the historic link to the 7th Armoured and it's history trail. Well worth a visit

User

Had an amazing night last night seeing Gary Barlow.. atmosphere was fantastic.. just wish you wouldn’t allow people to have children on their shoulders, spoils the view for everyone behind them..

Drop off and pick up arrangements were a lot better

Overall brilliant thank you

User

Great concert with the kids, well controlled, good atmosphere. Tried Newmarket Nights and would never go again with the kids, an absolute Pikey magnet. Now seen Elbow and Gary Barlow and hope to see more, well done Thetford!

User

Fantastic venue for an outside gig!! Saw Kasabian here, I’ve seen them many times at various venues, but this has to be one of the best!!

Facilities and staff were great, would really recommend if you get the opportunity to see an event here.

Beautiful scenery in an idyllic setting, will definitely be back for more🌳🌲🌳🌲🎤🎸🙌🏽💕

User

Fabulous day out with family such a well organised, safe and beautiful place. Highly recommended, need to be reasonably fit though.

User

Brilliant night for kasabian great outdoor area was very well organised getting in an out. Good choice of food outlets just need to double the size of alcohol tent to keep que down x

User

User

Absolutely stunning forest and a wonderful event at Forest Live seeing The Script and Tom Walker. The organisation of the event was spot on, many thanks to all the staff and police that kept things safe and organised 👍🏻

User

A fantastic evening spent watching Gary Barlow. The weather was kind in the forests beautiful setting. Very well organised with enough refreshment stalls and plenty of toilets.

My only complaint would be the parking arrangements but this did not ruin the amazing evening we had!

User

A fantastic day had by all, so much to do and something for all the family, regardless of age. We hired a bbq, which was ours for the day and very reasonable, it made it more special, as we had lunch and dinner there. Even purchasing a cheeky bottle of wine in the cafe!. Would definitely go again.

User

A beautiful forest, watched kasabian there and they were brilliant getting the crowd rocking from start to finish

User

The venue for the concert was fantastic however, the getting out of the car park at the end of the night was appalling.. Over an hour we did not move , it was very badly organised.. If you could improve that brilliant!!

User

Great setting for a summer gig, the only thing I’d like to have seen is the queues for the entrance clearly separated by barriers in lines so there’s no rush to the front when the gates open, some of us who were there early saw people pushing in, I know there was a number system for the the very early arrivals but we were just behind them & the ‘ lines’ all mingled into one big rush although generally most people waited patiently. Loved the atmosphere! Fantastic place & very organised coming out showing us where the taxis were .
