Huge congratulations to Thorpe Bay players for their achievements in the Winter 2018 County Cup, where #RobCarter and #DavidWright helped the Men’s team to become the top county in the country with 1st place and #NyahKauders was part of a very young Essex Ladies team that came 2nd in the Ladies’ event. Also congratulations to Shami Ndoro, one of our Scholarship Juniors, who has been selected to represent GB in a match v France in early December. Good luck in that Shami.

A ‘spooktacular’ time was had by all at TBLTC’s Halloween Party 👻Well done to Katy, Tonia, Abby and all the members of the Junior Cttee plus Matt and Jane on the Bar. And a special well done to all of the members and friends for supporting the event and bringing your ‘little horrors’ along 😈

Decathlon ‘Player of the Month’ for October is Izzy Richardson. Well done Izzy! 😀

Fabulous fun evening at Poker Night last night, well done Chris Gordon and Martin Drinkwater for all the hard work organising. Winner was Frank, second Matt (who won a lesson with Kris, so at least he might get to learn something!), third Lyn, fourth Mandy. Thank you to the seasoned pros who helped the beginners through the evening and made it such a fun event.

Katy Low from Macmillan was presented with a cheque on Sunday for over £1000 by Ladies’ Captain Katrina. Well done to all those involved in raising such a fabulous sum of money for our local Macmillan teams who do such a great job.

Autumn Finals kicked off today with the Ladies’ 80+. A hard fought match in horrid conditions eventually saw Chloe and Abby win through against Claire and Lynn. Well done ladies👍🎾

Our coffee morning was a great success. We had a fabulous turnout and cakes galore ! I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that supported it. We raised just over £1000 which will go to our local Macmilllan charity . We will be having a presentation at the club and I will let you know when I have arranged it. Once again, thank you Katrina, Ladies’ Captain 😘

Over 20 people joined in social tennis today at TBLTC - beautiful weather for the relaunch run by the Hardings, free to all adult playing members on Sunday lunchtime

Tots Tennis has been an absolute winner for my 4yo old and her friends. The coaches are bright and engaging (shout out to Paul and Amy), the games are fun and within the capabilities of even the youngest. The club has lovely facilities for parents to sit and watch. Really friendly people.

Thank you for the fantastic Halloween party! A wonderful afternoon for all the children. X

My daughter attended the holiday club today. It was absolutely amazing, a big thank you to everyone! As I stayed to watch, I would just like to point out how lovely I thought all of the coaches were with the children. Particularly, in the youngest class where my daughter was, it melted my heart to watch, all the children were enjoying it and totally engaged. When my daughter got frustrated because she couldn’t do something, it was picked up on straight away and she was encouraged to give it another go, which she did and happily continued. I felt it was such a safe environment and so well organised. We will be back and I will be enquiring about membership/lessons.

Had a fabulous night and staff were very friendly would defiantly recommend this venue.

Great people, fabulous venue! Definitely one of the best clubs in Essex... Without a doubt.

The venue was lovely and in a great location.

It looks very well kept and in great condition.

We were a visiting club.

The team captain however was not very sporting .swore though out our match .questioned calls and was even unpleasant to his own (much younger ) partner.

It does question if I would recommend this club or want to return myself.
